I still don't understand how this channel doesn't already have a million subs. This guy is a genuine badass. He does it for Us! The people, so we don't have to.
Me neighter, he deserves more subs and love.
I also don't understand why videos about budget frozen meals don't gather a large audience. Remember FreezerBurns?
Honestly, the reason for slow growth is no face cam. Without one it becomes a niche genre. All the reaction channels, which this basically is have face cams. Look at review tech usa. Despite hardly ever actually reviewing tech anymore, once he went face cam his channel took off.
@@zebunker Growth may be slow, but that's definitely not a bad thing, since that means people who sub to him do that because they want to actually see the content. Therefore WolfePit has quite a bit bigger views/subsriber count ratio than most channels. I don't think facecam would fit these videos either, man has found his own niche audience and his voice has more than enough personality.
Seriously, it’s super interesting and not a chance in hell I would try it myself
100% honest, my mouth watered when you pulled the plastic off the finished meal looking at the gravy on it and imagining the smell from my childhood of eating piles of these things. I love gravy and about the only thing I love more than that, is salt. So the salty gravy on the "meat", made me hungry for one.
100% with ya. Used to have these all the time. They were awesome lol. Seems a lot of the people in the comments actually enjoyed them too. He puts them off so much worse than what they were.
@@Arcin321 It's probably for views
@@Arcin321 I also don't see where other people are saying they like these dinners. Most of the comments are people agreeing with this guy and hating on them.

You can still eat them
I remember growing up w the swansons aluminum foils tray TV dinners.

The only difference was the old ones had aluminum trays, and no Wolfe Pit to rate them. As a kid you just ate them, to fill your stomach, thats all.

This is actually my favorite frozen meal. It's cheap and I love the flavor, and I must not be alone otherwise they would have quit making it years ago.

It's nothing like the Banquet Meals used to be when I was young. I think Con-Agra foods bought the brand name and the quality went down the tubes.
My younger brother loves these!! He loves the Salisbury steak and backyard bbq ☺️
Salisbury Steaks have a rich history behind them. Especially during the 1950’s when frozen foods were popular.
But they made their appearance in the 19th Century, most notably the American Civil War. It was easy to make, Cheap, tasty, and full of nutrients.
Salisbury Steak has been pretty much the “Staple Steak of America.”
it’s origins come from “Hamburg Steak”.
Lol, I've basically survived off of these for half my life. Also, the correct way to eat it is to scoop the corn into the potato soup and mix it all with the gravy and pile all that on top of the patty. Honestly I love these things lol, oh well.

The Night Hawk TV Dinners were actually good. The steak bites with tater tots were a solid $1 option.
@@Puckanm I don't even get why people care about sodium. Processed meat has a lot of sodium and gravy is naturally like 80% salt in terms of dietary value lol. Complaining about sodium in a gravy based frozen meal is like complaining about a smoothie being cold.

I've eaten this exact meal MANY times growing up, and when living on my own. It's sorta one of those meals that you just need a fork for, and you don't need to think about how fake it really is. I know it's TVP is a main stay in a lot of "meat" meals, but whatever. I'd always end up licking the plate clean.

I ate banquet almost everyday in my early 20s, around 15 years ago, as it was such a good deal with near empty pockets. Now I am MUCH better off financially these days, but I'll still grab a Banquet meal once a year for the nostalgia. And to be honest, I think they still taste great! I know it's all PURE nostalgia, so I never recommend it, but it's my personal guilty pleasure. Chicken Fried Steak is my go-to option.

I’m not afraid to admit it, but these super cheap, Banquet Dinners are my guilty pleasure. 😂

Agreed. All these elitists too good for some garbage food now and again.
The key to the potatoes is adding butter./country crock before you microwave it. Adding it to the corn can help in some occasions but not sure if it would have helped in this situation.
I also dont remember this meal taking that long to microwave. Maybe try 3 minutes, take out and mix potatoes and corn, and microwave for another 2 minutes if needed. Might make the corn less hard.
One of my guilty pleasures is a cheap OnCor salsbury steak chopped up and then mixed, gravy and all, in hot buttered white rice. Satisfying and comforting and fills me with nostalgia
Sadly he missed that TVP IS in the steak itself. It's the 4th ingredient in the Salisbury Steak.
Actually, it’s the fifth ingredient. Water comes before the beef and tvp.

The only frozen food I eat now a days are hot pockets and White Castle sliders, this man is a solider!
It feels pointless to kill animals for their meat if we're just going to ruin it like this.
Exactly what bob said. They aren't slaughtering the cow and shredding the prime beef to make this. This is made of all the leftover trimmings from processing the prime cuts that would otherwise be thrown out. This includes the meat left over on bones when boning out meat, bits of meat trimmed off to clean up a cut to look more presentable, etc. This way, there is even less wastage.
