    A shot trace would help visualize the flight of your shots

      Hi, I agree. We don't really have the tech to do that at the moment. We try to show shots on the FlightScope simulator when we can. Hope you're playing great! Quentin | TSG Instructor

      @@TopSpeedGolf Quentin, I'm still going to give it a try. Your instruction is sound. With my current fade/slice, I can only hit it 200-210 max which puts stress on my approach shots so I need to find a way to hit drives longer.

    I cannot make a good strike with the ball that far forward. I move mine behind my left heel. I dont get as much loft, but I get very straight shots. How can I A. either hit better with the ball forward? Or B. get that same draw in my own setup? Some say hit more towards the toe.

    I just close the club face slightly and make my normal swing... Works almost every time... Exact opposite for power fade..

      Hi, thanks for sharing. That works for sure. As long as the face is closed to the path, it will draw assuming center strike. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

      XSHABAZ RAJAH I have my feet lined up slightly to the right and then I have my club face facing the fairway (or flag or wherever I want to hit it). It rarely fades/slices and I hit it solid almost every time :)

      Golf instruction is pretty in effective for most golfers. Not because the intention and contents is wrong but because it does not match the skill level or way how the particular golfer swings at the moment. In general you have to be suspicious when an instructor says it 'easy', Its easy for them, not for you, in general there are no quick fixes. A lot of people are already excited and grateful when they understand the message but that doesn't mean they can do it or master it, at least not overnight. Golf is just hard to learn especially if you learn it at an older age.

      Hi Olivia, thanks for the comment. I would say this video is more geared toward your mid handicapper or better. Not sure where you fall but if you're higher than that then you should focus on hitting the ball more solidly first before you attempt to shape shots. This is part of why Clay came up with the Top Speed Golf System. Clay lays out the important things to work on in order to improve. If you can do these things well then you can hit great golf shots. Just follow the link at the end of the video to check it out. Play well ~ Quentin | TSG Instructor

    Hello sir. I am new to golf. Can u do a video on proper club selection. Meaning say it's a 165 yards to the green what would be the best club to use. Thank u sir.

      The club you can carry the distance to the pin. Different for everyone.

      normally a 7 or 8 iorn depending on how well u hit ur shots

    • @amfohr
      @amfohr 7 лет назад

      I think the majority of golfers can not cover 165 yards with an 7 or 8 iron and certainly not new players. For young players its less of issue.

      Hi, thanks for the question. The other comments are exactly right. How far you hit a club is going to depend on your club head speed and the quality of the strike. Those are the main two things. I would recommend you go out to the driving range and go through your entire bag hitting several shots with each club. Pay close attention to how far they are going and make note of it. It takes time to really know how far you hit everything but you'll get there. Keep up the hard work! amfohr im young and new and can hit my 7 200 plus... granted im from baseball background but yeah on average id say most new players should hit a 7 around 150-160 if they get a good strike that is

    I’m a good foot and a half taller than you bro, I’d love to see you do that on a couple cinder blocks like me.
