- No, SNES Koopa Beach's music is not "underrated". Are you fed up with people saying songs are underrated when they aren't? Well here are some incredibly flawed stats you can use to prove them wrong!

Early Prototype Vanilla Lake is the “I can fix him” of SMK’s ost. I feel like it would actually sound pretty good if it was given more time in the oven
Honestly I dig it, at least when it starts picking up as more instruments come in.
So appearantly Choco Island is actually the underrated one here lmao
And all the Vanilla Lake versions, especially the final release
Uh oh. Here comes another video
correct
Who would've thought that out of all music tracks in the game, Vanilla Lake was the one to go through three very different iterations.
Banger theme tho
I wish the track design had followed suit...
Not gonna lie, some part of the prototypes actually hit hard. Like, the early vanilla lake one ? Hello ?
Don’t mind me, I’m just hand banging hard to Vanilla Lake (Late Prototype)
that song doesn’t get enough love
Hand banging
Koopa Beach is the kind of song where I feel most people like it, but since it is a SMK song at the end of the day that hasn’t gotten a fantastic remake it’s not brought up outside of talking about SMK specifically.
Also Vanilla Lake Late Prototype got robbed that song slaps so hard. I guess it is a prototype at the end of the day so not many people would have heard it.
Lastly, I just want to say that this game’s soundtrack, for what it is, is shockingly good. Most of the songs really do hold up, I honestly think I prefer this OST to 64 and Double Dash’s.
I'm definitely biased because it's the one I grew up with but SMK still has a sound all its own that no other Kart soundtrack has matched
I just dont like smk songs in general
@@lemonadesnake you aren’t based. You are in fact, cringe.
Koopa Beach's music isn't underrated. In fact, it's my phone's ringtone.
Mine too
I'm so glad to report SNES Koopa Beach is just rated, thanks for the Koopa Beach song love
the donut plains prototype makes me so uncomfortable and i don't know why
i didn't realize until recently how good vanilla lake's ost is, especially with the little kick of (what i think is?) violin
Neat. I think this series could be even better if there was some analysis of the music, but I can understand why there isn't any.
I'm glad to see the return of this channel, I missed it
Late Proto Vanilla Lake track sounds great. Should be remixed for a pirate-themed course in the next Mario Kart game.
1:35 Hmm. Sounds familiar dont you think? Did they even change this when they used it as the Battle Theme?
If anything, I’d consider the Koopa Beach track theme (not the music, like the setting or something) somewhat underrated as it’s the only SNES track theme not to get an RMX version in Tour
you could sing the word "helicopter" to the b section of the early prototype of Vanilla Lake.
0:45
Of course the first place had to go to that one theme we all love and hate falling
I remember only finishing half the matchups and forgetting to do the rest. Did you still count half-completed responses?
Also hearing those prototypes is so cool! I had no idea they existed, thanks for including them!
that's very weird that the battle theme was gonna be what you heard for the majority of the tracks
I think if the entirety of the soundtrack is under 50% win rate, anything can definitely be argued to be "underrated", lol. Choco Island being that low in the rankings is wild, regardless.
The bowser castle prototype sounds kind of fitting for an early rainbow road.
I totally agree with the top 2. I would put Mario Circuit at number 3 though, that one is really iconic and imo much better than Bowser Castle theme which is one of the weakest Bowser's Castle themes in the franchise imo
Well, saying something is 'Underrated' is different from saying it's 'good'. Saying a song is underrated just means that it's not rated as high as it should be. I think showing statistics is a great way to display what songs are more popular than others, but I do think saying Koopa Beach's track is underrated is still justifiable. (personally I have no opinion as to whether it is or Isn't tho lol) /neu
Yes, SNES Koopa Beach's music is underrated in the grand scheme of Mario Kart, singling it out in SMK is like singling out Delfino Square for DS, they're both great in their own games, especially music-wise, but compared to the rest of the series is where they fall a bit (and thus be considered underrated).
Singling it out in the game it's from is perfectly fine actually when the topic is also about songs from the same game.
Koopa Beach music is so good I love it. But I think Choco Island needs some recognition too.
@@NuoKart was the person saying it was underrated in SMK's ost and just its ost?
@@toooydoeur Nah, I was saying it's underrated in the grand scheme of Mario Karts OSTs, in SMK it isnt but SMK isn't the only game in the series now, the OST IS underrated, just in a game where there are about 10 music tracks, something cant really be ' underrated ' can it?
@@BluePuffyy ik
interesting that Mario Circuit/Ghost Valley/Bowser's Castle's prototype is basically just the battle mode music.
Vanilla Lake's second prototype is the worst song here.
SNES Bowser Castle music is really good, even originally here on the SNES
And of course Rainbow Road won here, what else would it be
the snes battle mode song is probably my favourite song in mario kart
rainbow road might be the best song ever
Are you going to be doing the same type of video with princess peach's showtime?
I like 11 better than what bowser castle got. I'd say it's among my top 3 with koopa beach and my absolute top being donut plains.
I accidentally watched the Mario Kart 64 ranking before this one, whoops 😅
I found this video after a random impulse to listen to the song. Take that for what you will.
Solid ranking. SMK is a fun game. Dated, but for the super nes it is underated.
Nah, it's alright. There's a couple remixes out there. It's one of my favourite tunes as well.
Man, Ghost Valley Music is soo underrated
Choco Island and Vanilla Lake are the underrated ones to me. I was especially hoping Vanilla Lake would place higher as it's such a silly sounding theme and that makes me happy.
As for overrated, I think Bowser's Castle placed way too high for a song that doesn't have a memorable melody at all and felt pretty stagnant and same-y throughout. The music doesn't really develop as it plays, and in general it isn't very interesting.
you sound like mayro
I like reading descriptions
I wonder why 🤔
Because he is...
Maybe the reason why she sounds like Mayro is because she _is_ Mayro?
Nintendo when they see the chance to add an interesting track: S N E S R A I N B O W R O A D
SOYO OKA !!!!
No i love koopa beach music
Would say choco island is more underrated
In my opinion all SMK music tracks are A to S tier.
Whatve you been sniffing?
Mario Circuit did better than Donut Plains? :(
agree
Who's still listening to Vanilla Lake (Early Prototype) in 2024?????
👍9.4k 👎
Is it just me or is there no difference between Battle Mode and Prototype Mario Circuit/Bowser castle.
Actually there is a difference between the early battle mode has no intro is just serving as a place holder on track that doesn’t have any music yet in the prototype
Prototypes shouldnt even count
this is a comprehensive "ranking"
yeah, so? they still have music that can be ranked!
the DS version of Koopa Beach is great. Original music is boring

Probably very unliked opinion I have, but only the top 5, excluding number 1 funnily enough, sounded like good songs to me, and I mean just good. They were nothing crazy except for number 3 thats definitely the best track in the soundtrack! Again, all my opinion in the end 👍
