    It would be interesting to know how much pre-33 gold (face value), what denominations and mint marks has been repatriated back to the US from overseas (which countries) in these past few decades... I did not realize the extent of this repatriation... this certainly lends credence to the lower values of these slabbed pre-33's... thank you for the informative video...

    Don't premiums drop with gold price spikes? Well until people get their head around the new floor. Eventually though, coins with higher populations which have enjoyed healthier premiums whilst the gold price was lower, might not find a market to sustain those premiums going forward. (I don't know, pretty inexperienced with all this, so just throwing out the first things that came to mind).

      That might happen, premiums have always been hard to predict.

      It depends on what the seller bought the coin for and what he/she has on hand. It's all about velocity.
