Great talking point Roc, and I do agree on the fact that copper is not an investment like gold and silver, even though gold and silver isnt an invest either, they are a hedge or an insurance against inflation, but copper has its position in the monetary totem pole, first is gold, second is silver, and third is copper. Copper has been used as a means of exchange for thousands of years for purchasing and bartering of small items, and if we in the US go through another financial crisis like the great depression, copper will have its roll again. Through out the pass few years I have studied the concept, and have determined that copper is to silver as silver is to gold and has a silver to copper ratio of 100:1, and of course fluctuates with the market, right now if we look at the price of copper its roughly around $4.11 per pound, just 4 years ago,(2020) it was a little over $2.50 per pound, thats an increase of about 63% give and take a bit, if the pattern is consistent in the next 4 years copper would be about $6.69 per pound, and if we go through our hyperinflation due to the devaluation and over printing of our paper currency, those prices could double or triple, and we can see a silver to copper ratio of 60 or even 40:1 and if thats the case, if silver is at $500 per oz then copper would between $0.27 to $0.40 per gram or $7.65 - $11.34 per oz or $122.40 - $181.44 per pound, now lets say we keep the ratio at 100:1 then copper would be $0.16 per gram or $4.53 per oz or $72.57 per pound, when that happens people are going to find any type of metal to barter with, and copper will be the winner, since its the most abundant metal in our lives besides steel, either way copper price will rise over time even if we dont have a collapse of our currency, ive heard stories of people in the 70s saying that silver is the poor mans gold, and look where silver is today, for the past 10 years, ive heard people say that copper is the poor mans gold, so only time will tell. But of course copper shouldnt be your only metal to collect, we have to diversify our holdings, and as stackers we should stack all monetary metals, silver, gold, and even copper, to insure broad spectrum of monetary barter, and we have to remember the phrase... "Gold is for Kingdoms, Silver is for Gentleman's and Copper is for the peasants" or people. Stay safe out there and keep stacking my friend.

I do not rate these slabbing companies, they somtimes get gradding wrong, they have slabbed fake coins, and even holed coins have also know to be slabbed. My friend bought a william and Mary half crown, it had been slabbed and gradded, and had a hole in it. He did not want the coin in its slab, as he wanted it in his coin tray. When unslabbed, to his horror, it had a hole in it. After sending it back to the coin dealer, a big argument accurred as the dealer said it was not the same coin, but after returning to the slanbbing company, they did after lots of letters did confirm it was, they did refund dealer, and buyer. This sort of thing has accured a lot, and is bad.

if you know your coin and it's been tested on a Sigma Pro , you have no worries. Slabbed or not. The gold is gold. A few folks are scammers and would like to see you parted into their hands with your coin. Know what you bought and know who you are selling to. That way you don't get scammed on either end. Don't just trust some old guy that will low-ball a coin just because it's not slabbed. Never trust a person like that. For the most part Sigma works well. XRF is the ultimate way to go. But I can only name one that uses one.

You can't be too careful. There are also counterfeits made of gold.
