I enjoyed the interview with the coin dealer who shares his passion for coin and currency collecting. He believes everyone is a coin collector in one way or another, whether it’s noticing a new design or setting aside an oddly colored nickel. He brought some of his favorite items to show, including: 💰A 1797 penny that may have been handled by George Washington! 💰A 1829 half dollar in excellent condition. Where did it sit the last 200 years? 💰An 1780 opium dollar made so that people could carry opium on their person without being recognized. This was made into a locket with two separate Maria Theresa dollars. The Italian legend inside says “even from far away I am close to you”. 💰A seated quarter from 1890 in excellent condition. 💰A banknote from Ogdensburgh about 20 miles from where he grew up, dated 1858 and worth $10, which was a significant amount of money at the time. 💰Another note features a steam engine and is from the St. Lawrence railroad. The dealer collects just about everything and hopes others enjoy collecting as well.
Nice. Love the odd denomination note! Thanks
Thank you, too!
Nice sharing ❤❤
Thank you, thought we'd try something different.
