Memo screwed his own career when he went to la liga. He couldn’t play with his feet so he couldn’t flourish there. He should have been on a championship side or serie A team or even a Portuguese team. He’s stunted his own career unfortunately
If more Mexican players took risks going to European clubs no one ever heard of the team would be better. When you’re between 18-23 nothing is wrong with playing in Greece, Belgium, Denmark, or the lower tier Serie A or Portuguese teams
It’s not just the players who decide to stay in Mexico. The coaches from tigres Monterrey, Toluca, chivas, and America usually(except Almada and Osorio) like to sell players around 5-15 million euros and that’s when European teams back out.
