Wood is one of the most durable materials out there, making it a favourite amongst home designers. It saves on time, effort and money in the long run, which would have otherwise been involved in frequent renovation, repair or replacement work of the interior. I'm so glad by your own decisions using your hands with the woods and bamboo too... Congrats as you did take your time to decide by your own decisions with your loved ones how to renovate it more better ways to look and keep the animals safe including you all.
Good choice. many options. brighter future for the kids..i see an architect and an engineer, lol. mushrooms aren't my thing but you are very knowledgeable about the topic so will be wise. thanks for taking me along.
I cannot see any risk at all…family land before and in the future…looking forward to seeing your long-term restoration…don’t forget to give a retrospective on the cottage build…congratulations both, well played!
Congratulations! Glad you got the nice piece of land - looks like a great investment! Looking forward to following your renovations! We’ve just moved in to our new flat on family land here in Bangladesh but we’ve invested in our own ( my husband’s) land in the countryside to grow trees and vegetables and build a small “kampung” house.
Awesome guys! Glad you managed to get it finalised and now the owners of the land. Looking forward to the future projects on this plot, I'm sure you'll do great as always. Congrats from us all ❤
Wow…what a great DIY to keep you busy….and I’m sure it’ll be loads of fun…remember to celebrate each small achievement on the project, it’ll be so much more fun….good luck with it…
Glad this is settled and your plans make a lot of sense. Your family will be close and family is what matters. You can do it!! Ryan you need to keep busy so this will certainly do that,
Nice piece of land, maybe not worth saving the old house. I would just built new one since your wife wanted to level up the ground. But it would be fun to see how you will flip it.
Congratulations Ryan and Damo for several reasons. I think you got a fantastic deal and the property looks good. There are mountains of potential with the property. Most important it is in close proximity to Damo’s homestead and she is excited for the purchase. Looking forward to see the development of your dreams. Thank you.
Hi guy's, a lovely format that you both speak and participate on the video like this one. Now you have another project and more work.. lol... but it'll be good until you can retire...lol Regards Rickard from Sweden 🇸🇪🎸🌺
Congratulations on your new farm! It will be exciting to see what the future holds for you and your family! Looking forward to watching your new journey unfold! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Clean, power wash, check for structural issues, repair or replace roof (dry in), leave temporary stairs till you establish bottom floor grade, in that order. A good investment and great price, Congrats to the 4 of you !
You are living my dream, much love to you and your family, love your videos, the way you carry yourself, the humbleness, the simplistic attitude, i love it I just moved to Thailand, Korat, now i am looking for a house with some land to rent so i can firstly get a horse, love horses, and have a little garden, and go from there, but its a bit hard finding a place to rent that has land thats within 20 or so km from the city (work location) Anyway, best of luck to you and your family, thanks for the videos and the motivation
Congratulations you two! If you need some manual labour to help out with the renovations, hit me up! More than happy to help you out for free board (a mattress and blanket is fine) and local food. Would make a fantastic video series for a few months!
Kudos Ryan and Damo! Planning for the future by investing in more land and a house. Keeping it all in the family as the saying goes. You have time and with the solid wood beams and such that will make it easier/cheaper to renovate... Windows and doors first likely....after clean up. The buffalo will have to find other shelter from now on 555 Exciting beginning to a new adventure guys. Peace and Love
Great to see that you've invested in the new property, and I hope that it works out well for you both. BTW, I have been in Thailand for 4 months now, and I too have bought a silly hat like yours 😅
Very exciting!.. looking forward to watching your progress on this build.. what a great project.. 🥰 I swear by reishi mushrooms .. powerful medicine💜 love to you all❤️🦋🥀☮️
Very exciting, new project. Congratulations! I can’t wait to see the stinky shoveling and all the fun that will go along with that. Aloha from Nebraska.🌺🤙🏼
Like the Kwai mower more than that push mower! Nice one for 250 K BHT and right near you-all! Part of the old family land! I've seen/worked on worse here; my wife's old place was so eaten by termites that the frame was bowing apart. She wanted to raze it, Nah! I'm far too "Kee Nee-aw Farang" for that, re framed from the inside bit by bit, didn't even need to pull much of the lap siding. A 65 BHT can of spray could have saved 10K BHT of Teak though, get on that ASAP, I could see Termite trails up the walls. Yeah, we raised the old floor too and a good trick it did, keeping the floods out. We're right next to a Khlong so it's no joke. Right, pull that roof, let pros do it, worth the price + the floor, get it nice and tiled. You can pull that siding after the roof, no problem. Could save about 2/3rds of it and just find some more that matches in width. I was able to scrounge up a lot of old Teak here and there for cheap, worth a look around, Looks like your frame is pretty clean for the most part. Hard to tell until you grab a board and it crushes into powder in your hand, eaten to the skin by termites. You may not have to pull much frame, just that siding. Grind off the old nails, sort it through, add some new boards, no problem. I love the little, flat head Phillips screws for that old, Teak siding, tightens it up really nice, 'eff nails.
So this is going to be a difficult project but we are ready! Thanks for coming along with us on this journey 🙏😊
