Iginla and Sennecke would be a nice investment (Getting Sennecke in some kind of trade with the winnipeg 1st round + other asset to get the 11 to 14th 1st round pick n take him)
I think Montreal's top 3 are who they have a chance of getting. 1. Demidov (will probably be gone before 5th) 2 Linstrom (50/50) he is avaliable at 5th 3. Iginla ( mostly likely he is still on the board at 5th)
I don't think Lindstrom falls to 5. Chicago will go with Demidov or Levshunov, Anaheim will probably take whoever Chicago doesn't between the two. But Columbus worries me. I feel like they're in the same boat as Montreal with the amount of Dmen in the pipeline. I just don't see a scenario where Lindstrom falls past Columbus at 4.
@ChampionGamingUniver I agreed Columbus is a wild card, no idea what they are going to do.However, the injuries to Lindstrom cause some concerns, and alot of due diligence needs to be done before selecting him. I have zero issues with Iginla. From what I have heard about him, he could be a perfect fit in montreal.
@@ChampionGamingUniver I get that Columbus is in the same boat, but they took Fantilli last year and improved their offense. I feel like they could benefit in getting Silayev as a team. He would be their best d and a perfect partner for Jiricek. At this point in time, it's getting a big forward or a big defender that would be #1 in their defensive prospect pool. It really depends how they see their team. Lindstrom is definitely the sexy pick, but with a team that is in BIG needs of stability, Silayev should be the pick.
@@Jake23115funny that i see everyone talking about his size. He’s 5’11’’ 170lbs. At the moment of his draft, Bedard was 5’10’’ and supposedly 185lbs. Catton will still put some muscles on and be a 185-190lbs guy by the end of next year. Nothing to be worried about in his case. And the highest offensive IQ of the whole class.
Tij will be available for sure at 5th...It would be a big surprise if Catton is taken at 5th especially after Hughes said that he wanted to improve the size up front. !!!
I don't know exactly who the Habs will pick but one thing I do know for sure is Hughes will zig when the prognosticators zag so therefore whoever the consensus pick turns out to be prior to draft day, it will 1000% not be that player!!! And I believe all that talk of drafting a forward is speech play and him picking a D-Man is never outta the equation!!!
I agree with Demidov being very talented but Chicago needs to get bigger on the wings with Bedard as a center and also need a right defenseman. I see them taking Levshunov who is the best defenseman available in this draft !!!
I think the Habs are looking to get bigger. I like Catton but I think the Habs are looking for a bigger player. Lindstrom at 5 is the best case scenario. I like Iginla but Sennecke? I think it's a reach too. I wasn't surprised when the Habs drafted Slafkovsky but I was way off the last 2 Drafts. So at this point, I have no clue what to expect. Demidov would be cool but I expect him to be gone at the 5th pick.
For me, if I am Kent HUghes, if Demidov, Levchunov or Lindstrom aren't available anymore at five, I trade down then try to snatch Iginla or Sennecke if possible. Taking them that high wouldn't be maximizing the full value of the pick. Now if they can't find a dance partner for a trade, pick Iginla. Scenario 3 would have me take Levchunov in a heartbeat!! I know the surplus of D we have but I think he is too good to pass
If I am the Habs… i would love to walk out of this draft with either Lindstrom/Iginla and Sennecke. I think we have assets to make it happen. Win’s pick, some of our young left D’s, Anderson, Matheson, and even 25 and 26 picks. Set the strong foundation now. Realistically, top picks this year wont play until the 25/26 season. Realistically, Hutson and Reinbacher would start in Laval next year. 25/26 is the start of a new era in Mtl.
Habs should pick 2.3 or 4 by trading pick #24 and Matheson for those picks so lets talk to Chicago, Anaheim, or Columbus and pick what fits and be prepared to add to our #5 pick and Add 2 prime talents to our line up.
Sennecke makes the most sense, fits into the rebuild perfectly. The only right winger they have in the rebuild is Caufield. They need to fix it. Sennecke would complete the rebuild of the top six. I heard one scout compare Sennecke to Rick Nash. I had a flash of several years into the future ... a line of Slafkovsky, Dach & Sennecke ... a monster line of size and skill ... with Xhekaj and Mailloux on D.
Fun video! I trust Grant McCagg from the Sick Podcast. Sennecke would be a great winger for Dach on the second line. I would even consider him over Lindstrom even if he's still avaliable at #5. I don't like Lindstrom's back issues, look at Gabe Vilardi with his bad back. I would take Demidov no matter what if he slips to #5.
If Iginla is still available the Habs have to take him. They missed out on Brady Tkachuk so hopefully they learned from this. Iginla has the genes and work ethic of his father so this is definitely a no brainer for the Habs. IGINLA at #5 ❤
If the third scenario happens we definitely trade back since other forwards are a reach at that spot and teams would love to take the Michigan state D which should be the best defensmen at that spot.
I say winning isn't everything, it's about who can show up when it counts - that's why it's fairly rare that the #1 team in the regular season wins the cup. For that reason I would take Catton. He has the edge from the highlights I've seen.
I haven't seen much footage on anyone but assuming Demidov is gone, i wouldnt be upset with Iginla, especially if they could pick up something to drop back a few spots
Hi, nice vids by the way. I have Sennecke at 5 on my mock draft but feel you could get him later, in the scenario where Demidov, Levshunov and Lindstrom going 2, 3 or 4 (like 50% of my scenario). I got like a 40% chance for Lindstrom and 10% chance of Demidov or Levshunov at 5th. Basically, 50% Lindstrom (mainly), Demidov or Levshunov being bump by mainly by Silayev or Buium. If it's me i draft Lindstrom, Demidov or Levshunov (all over Sennecke) and i try to trade down if it's for Sennecke (like 7-8-9). If no trade, i guess i draft Sennecke at 5th. But feels there is a lot of depth between 5 to 11, maybe even 16.
This draft will definitely have lots of play after the first overall pick. So many scenarios can unfold! And if there's a trade....even more crazy stuff can happen. Can't wait!

Anaheim needs a right defenseman or will likely take a big forward: Levshunov or Lindstrom. The chances of getting Lindstrom at 5th are about 50/50. Lindstrom is a huge center which is very valuable in the NHL versus Iginla who will be an average size winger which might look as a bit of a reach at 5th, but if Montreal really likes Iginla, they will not hesitate to still get him at 5th.The sick podcast is the least possible scenario but still make sense since Sennecke will become a big top6 gritty winger with very good hands. Demidov sliding to 5th would not surprise me either since Chicago, Anaheim or Columbus could easily take a defenseman...or Lindstrom. !!!
