The Kylo Ren theme music had to mean something. I'll die on the hill that Smilo Ren is really the OG Ren, founder of the Knights of Ren. While a connection to the sequel trilogy doesn't exactly make everything good, it would make a lot of sense.
Maybe he found a Sith Holocron and from that learned their ideology and teaches, but it was only a Holocron so he and his acolytes never full reach the level of Sith. But they did keep the Sith tendency to make a mockery of the Jedi, what better way to mock the Jedi then call your self knights. But knight of what exactly?
I have learned today the Knights of Ren was not created by Kylo. As he took on the Ren part for his Sith name. This is pretty damn cool of Smilo is the original Ren of the Knights of Ren. 😈👌🔥

I have been thinking along similar lines. I think Qimir will get killed by his master, not by the Jedi. It is hard to see how killing ten Jedi in such a short time frame would fit into the Grand Plan of the Sith since it would draw too much attention. As such, my thought is that Qimir did this on his own and is going to get wrecked for potentially screwing everything up.
Well acolyte was status for student who was training on sith academy (korriban). But that was long time ago before rule of two. But Qimir can't me main villain here, we got 3 more episodes to go, i think Qimir will show himself as failed apprentice, because to get exposed like Master Sol said ''why risk discovery'' I think true master wouldn't risk discovery after 900 years for some acolyte or Qimir is truly alone and true sith lord is in hiding and go kill Qimir to shut him up also it's rival, because it's against rule of two
I have a better one for you. "If you attack Jedi with a weapon, you will fail" is being misread. It means "if you attack an ARMED Jedi". That's why Mae keeps reaching for Jedi's sabers...
His character profile, not part of the show, list him as a collector of artifacts. We’ve seen a Sith Holocrons influence Ezra in Rebels. What if he found a Holocron and didn’t have some one else come in and take it away?
I can see parts of this being possible, but the tenebrous aspect is a HEAVY reach imo. As for the disappearing character this show doesn’t have writing thought out enough for that to be intentional to me, I’d sooner chalk it up to the disappearing dagger conundrum from TLJ. Hell they expect anyone to believe people are falling for Mae and Osha swapping places when Mae has the marking on her forehead which really isn’t all that hidden.
"Recite the sith code for me, acolyte, and explain its meaning" "Well, uh, you see, there's the light side, the dark side, and, well... there you have it"
Darth Tenebrous might just be able to save this show from being a wreck of a retcon. The only problem is that either Sol, Osha, and Mae all have to die, or Qimir dies, or all four of them die, leaving the knowledge of whether Qimir was a sith or not a secret, leaving Tenebrous to be a mystery, thus the situation was so brief that Qimir's proclamation never reaches Coruscant, leading Mundi to believe that there really was 1000 years of peace. Assuming that it was Tenebrous that made the twins for the witches, the only person who should ever have this power, the show would not be as bad as it is, though I'd say that it would still easily be the worst Star Wars has given us. Also, it would be a shame that we'd likely never see Tenebrous, Plagueis, or Venamis as a result of that.
I mean isn't that just totally normal Sith things? Get yourself some acolyte darksiders, one of them is your secret Apprentice who will help you overthrow the master and in turn become the proper Sith Apprentice?
Darth Teefs is most definitely an apprentice because he keeps using the word Acolyte, not apprentice. Darth Tenebrous is probably going to be revealed by the end of the show revealing he was the one pulling the strings the entire time. Also, I bet Darth Teefs’ real Sith name is actually Darth Venamis.
That’s was actually my theory that this was a sith apprentice looking for his own apprentice because he was planning to overthrow his master or a Sith Lord that just killed his master and is trying to find a worthy apprentice by doing it the old fashioned way by making his apprentice start out as a akoyte
Qimir could be Venamis, Darth Tenebrous secret apprentice. His motive is to find a powerful apprentice to overthrow Darth Tenebrous and his apprentice Darth Plagueis.
There’s a better theory, which seems more likely and that he’s Darth Venamis. He was also an apprentice of Tenabrous, however he didn’t get his title legitemetly, unlike Plagueis. Eventually he died by the hands of Plagueis when he learned of his existence. He also posed for a time as a physician, which does kind of resemble when Qimir posed as a pharmacist.
I heavily doubt Darth Tenebrous will be a Bith and Darth Plagueis will be a Muun in Disney Canon not humanoid enough. Also Qimir is probably the originator of the Knight of Ren.
The hooded figure is the elderly witch we see later in the episode. These women would never let a man alien or not near their home let alone their sacred ritual.
I think he's either an acolyte of a Sith, or his actions get noticed by actual Sith and they quickly snuff out this imposter "Always 2 there are, no more, no less".
Perhaps this is just a acolyte of the Sith. A true Sith Lord would not shudder at the word Sith. This is merely a sub-faction that could be cut down by a true Sith Lord in the end. Is masters that bald green chick with the purple whip who has been feeding Jedi to the slaughter
I'm prtty sure unless I halucinated that there was an interview with Leslye Headland back before the production of the show where she said she wanted to explore the Sith. She wanted to explore the Master and Apprentice AND the apprentice's apprentice. Maybe i imagined that, for some reason I think that was a thing. Because of that I went into the show assuming "the acolyte" was the apprentice's pupil. I assumed the dark one with the red saber at the end of Episode 1 was that apprentice and Mae was the acolyte. Anyways. good video!
This, plus the idea that Smilo Ren is the founder of the Knights of Ren (someone in here said it first, it wasn't me). Ties Disney cannon and Legends nicely (on this topic at least)
It could be Tenebrous or Plagueis either or this was the time period they would be in, but I truly think that Plagueis is the one who either learned from the witches or he taught them about influencing the force to create life, which is gonna lead to Plagueis creating Anakin later on.
The whole point of creating life from the force was for the chosen one prophecy to happen. It doesn’t make sense to now have two other people be born before anakin to also be part of said prophecy. The show just set out to be something it couldn’t. It would’ve been a lot better if they were attempting to bring life from the force but failed which would inadvertently set the building blocks for the plaguies story line and have him learn from their mistakes and create anakin. See how much better that is?
They could introduce a young darth tenobrous and his master as the sith that were active during this era i dont think tenobrous master has a name yet but he was a twilek and was powerful.
So basicly the twin girls are like Damien in the Omen. A secret cult gives birth to the anti-Chosen One and then the Sith killed everyone that knew about the birth.
This still assumes Qimir is a Sith. He only says "The Jedi would call me a Sith". He never states "I am a Sith". Which I think is a small distinction. He could just be a failed apprentice of Tenerbous who is out on his own because he doesn't believe in "rules", like the rule of two. Maybe he is the founder of the Knights of Ren? Maybe Tenerbous and Plagueis show up at the end to take him out kind of like Palpatine showing up to take out Savage in Clone Wars. I just found it interesting how he stated what he was.
Correct, in my opinion. The Sith are 2; a master and an apprentice. But the apprentice could have a secret pupil, which is an Acolyte, with the plan (I assume) being to eventually overthrow the master, bringing it back around to 2 Sith. You could even say the Acolyte doesn't technically earn the title of Sith until they reach apprentice level. Acolyte could theoretically just be the trial period of a pupil of the dark arts, during which time they must prove themselves worthy of apprenticeship to a master. A sith apprentice wannabe. Just my running theory or hypothesis based on what we've seen so far.
Yeah... The Rule Of Two is really the Rule Of Four, bacause the Master will be running a rival apprentice and the apprentice will have an apprentice of their own
I agree. I've been saying this for a while now... Mae's 'Master' Qimir, is no Master at all, just an Apprentice looking for an eventual Apprentice of his own because he thinks himself ready to overthrow his Master, the actual Sith Master in the galaxy.
I really dislike hating Disney just for the sake of hating, but I honestly dont believe this show will go that deep I hope it does, dont get me wrong, ive just lost hope is all
This is what i’ve been saying all along. It would make a lot of sense and if you look into the legends lore of Tenebrous’ apprentice before Palpatine, you’d find lots of similarities
I'm actually unsure he IS a sith. The way he said it makes me think he's a sith copy cat, he's learned some of their lessons somehow and just calls himself that without actually being in the order. "A Jedi like you might call me... sith", sounds like he's just jaded about the Jedi thinking they'd call every dark side user a sith.
They know what they were doing when they hired the actors who play Sol and his padawan, they were sooo smooth. And also, I heard a lot of people complaining about "you don't kill a Jedi with steel or a blaster" and I complained about it too, but think inside that phrase. You don't born as a Jedi. Sol almost kills Smilo Ren in a rage. If Osha hadn't stopped him, that would be the end of the Jedi 'inside' him. That's my theory, I hope it's correct
Qimir himself even says he has no name, but that the Jedi might call him Sith. He also calls a pupil an acolyte, which is not lined up with the sith as they say "apprentice". Maybe the intent is for him to be a sith but it seems to me that this is another commentary on the state of the Jedi
@@cheezuschrist yeah, I made this comment before I heard about the actor confirming that he was actually a sith in an interview. Gonna make things exciting since pretty much errybody gotta die
my theory is that they’re just making sh*t up as they go along and nothing will tie together. at very least, subscribing to this theory will make it a pleasant surprise if they actually get around to telling a cohesive story in the end 🤷🏻♂️
what disney needs to do is train their people to give decent interviews. the show would not get as much controversy as it does, if they would answer with a calm mind and decently. It has stupid things in it, yes and the writing is sloppy and down right lore breaking at some places but it has it's moments, like episode 5. It looks like proper star wars, with proper, great choreography
Man if they put Tenebrous in the Final episode to build up maybe a new trilogy of movies about the secret hunt for the sith, that would be crazy. Only for him later to be found dead (Plaguas kills him with the help of palpatine). It could be like a 80 year timeline kind of trilogy.
This show would have been good if they focused on Sol and Qimir, since they were easily the best characters in the series. Sol would slowly convince Qimir to turn on his Master, only for Qimir to get wrecked by Tenebrous, which is where he would get his new apprentice- Plagueis.
Jeckie was a bad ass in this episode! RIP. I heard the first part of this theory and definitely think it’s possible, but I didn’t make the other connections to the witchs’ coven. It does make sense and adds a layer of complexity to everything. Though if QuiMir does have a master I don’t think we’ve seen them yet.
Mae will get the Jedi story. She will compare it to her story and see that her memories were also tampered with... And that will lead to lifting just a bit of the fog for us, but not for the Jedi order.
You would be correct, in that an acolyte is effectively a Jedi youngling, (but not as young) in that they are masterless Sith trainees who are trained to be take. As an apprentice by a Sith Lord or a darth. My information comes from SWTOR.
Especially because of the planet in ep 6 bearing a lot of resemblance to Bal Demnic where darth tenebrous was killed by plaeguis. I think it might also be possible that Qimir is Vernestras padawan Imri from the books.
Yes i honestly think this is the case... they change up the story... but due to Qimir's stupidity in revealing his identity and not killing every witness. Then Tenebrous will kill Qimir to then, go and get Plagueis as his new apprentice... that's the best thing they can currently do to turn the legends into cannon... as i would be sad and kinda mad too if they just threw them away (tenebrous and plaguies)...
Fans will make better theories than what we actually get. Whatever this leads to will be disappointing and/or just okay and the show will still be mainly awful. A random hooded person in a coven probably isn't Tenebrous. These theories didn't even renotely come true in previous shows and films in the Disney canon. Also it's c-uh-ven. Not c-oh-ven.
As cool as it would be, I dont think they will use tenebrous in a live action show. Seeing a bith sith would probably just take most people out of the show and make them laugh rather than taking it seriously.

wait, so... ... the shopkeeper is the Sith.
Yep the Sidekick thing was a mask!
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
What's your thoughts on Qimir mentioning the sith code?. 'Peace is a lie'?.
@@lukedavis1218 You just mentioned the sith code. Are you a sith?
Yeah... The Rule Of Two is really the Rule Of Four, bacause the Master will be running a rival apprentice and the apprentice will have an apprentice of their own
Dawg. Plagueis clapped the cheeks of Osha and Mae's moms. The "thread" is the excuse he gave them to cover up their betrayal of the lesbian lifestyle.
DARTH CHAD
I finally glad someone is talking about the cloaked figures in that episode. It’s clear the Jedi modified her memory of the event.
I agree. I've been saying this for a while now... Mae's 'Master' Qimir, is no Master at all, just an Apprentice looking for an eventual Apprentice of his own because he thinks himself ready to overthrow his Master, the actual Sith Master in the galaxy.
This theory might actually make the series worth watching
I really dislike hating Disney just for the sake of hating, but I honestly dont believe this show will go that deep
I hope it does, dont get me wrong, ive just lost hope is all
That's not how you pronounce coven.
This is what i’ve been saying all along. It would make a lot of sense and if you look into the legends lore of Tenebrous’ apprentice before Palpatine, you’d find lots of similarities
For a Padawan, Jecki had a pretty got shot at the dark sider for most of the time
I'm actually unsure he IS a sith. The way he said it makes me think he's a sith copy cat, he's learned some of their lessons somehow and just calls himself that without actually being in the order. "A Jedi like you might call me... sith", sounds like he's just jaded about the Jedi thinking they'd call every dark side user a sith.
We can't rule out him just being a fanboy
They know what they were doing when they hired the actors who play Sol and his padawan, they were sooo smooth. And also, I heard a lot of people complaining about "you don't kill a Jedi with steel or a blaster" and I complained about it too, but think inside that phrase. You don't born as a Jedi. Sol almost kills Smilo Ren in a rage. If Osha hadn't stopped him, that would be the end of the Jedi 'inside' him. That's my theory, I hope it's correct
It's a bit arbitrary, even unarmed he still 'armed' with The Force
Qimir himself even says he has no name, but that the Jedi might call him Sith. He also calls a pupil an acolyte, which is not lined up with the sith as they say "apprentice". Maybe the intent is for him to be a sith but it seems to me that this is another commentary on the state of the Jedi
Acolyte is a lower state of apprenticeship for the sith. Think of them as trainees
@@cheezuschrist yeah, I made this comment before I heard about the actor confirming that he was actually a sith in an interview. Gonna make things exciting since pretty much errybody gotta die
It can also be a whole new character though
my theory is that they’re just making sh*t up as they go along and nothing will tie together. at very least, subscribing to this theory will make it a pleasant surprise if they actually get around to telling a cohesive story in the end 🤷🏻♂️
Tenebrous isn't Disney canon. They won't tie this into Plagueis.
what disney needs to do is train their people to give decent interviews. the show would not get as much controversy as it does, if they would answer with a calm mind and decently.
Something tells me *WE* are going to come up with something better than what we get.
Do some stretches before you reach this far kids.
He is an apprentice, Kathleen and Filoni said as much. 😂
I don’t see why this would be a discussion.
Great theory. Disney only disappoints, so unfortunately, a theory is all that it is.
I want darth tenebrous to make an appearance, but i don't want to give my hopes up.
As much I like your theory, the director isn't cool and smart enough to make this true
