- Julian Casablancas spoke to journalist Yanina Sepúlveda from Chilean outlet www.cooperativa.cl about his solo career, the return of The Strokes and his desire to make it all work.
He's aged well. Still a pretty boy.
poor Julian is so shy and hes trying to answer the questions but be funny & interesting when he just has no idea what to say.
"There is another. 'THERE IS ANOTHER', Sorry, Star Wars."
Can't stop watching his interviews.
"What about the second decade?!" :))) Such an original guy/artist
Who said he's aged a lot?! He definitely hasn't!
“So no one knows what the hell... I felt like it was just like the were kinda confused but they liked it, and I thought that was cool“
Haha he used Take Me in Your Army lyrics in an answer
3:19
he is so cute and like...thoughtful? as in it takes him a while to translate his thoughts into something that makes sense to come out of his mouth for other people to hear. he's adorable to watch, not to mention strangely hot lmao
his jacket gives me breathing problems
LOL this comment...funny...thanks for that.
cool cool interview, he seemed very relaxed and open. probably dead happy that someone actually asked him about his art and the processes behind it, rather than what he had for fucking breakfast.
Jelanuel dude... what did he have for breakfast..?
This is how I talk on a daily basis glad i'm not the only one who says I don't know a lot and takes short pauses before I try to talk about it
he's trying to fill the gaps so bad omg i love him
He's so perfect. He needs to stop.
This guy needs to keep writing songs. For all of us
The camera is so close up, I wish the camera man would just zoom out.
Dang man he's changed a lot. I want to see him with a solid, productive future with both The Voidz and The Strokes :)
***** problem?
***** ?
+SoaringMuse i like your default pic
Jasmine Yamanaka Me too :)
that little star wars bit was just perf.
I think he cuts his own hair now.....
basically I Don't Know
His voice is different when he's sober a lot more awake
It was quite awkward which is probably due to the language barrier and misunderstood pop culture references. I felt the journalist focused too much on asking about the Strokes when he's clearly trying to branch out from that area. If you're going to see Julian Casablancas + the Voidz don't expect the Strokes. But over all it was a good interview and the journalist asked some insightful questions. Also looking forward to hear the second song he did with Daft Punk, I didn't even know about that. o.O
He reminds me of Ray Romano
I'm so in love
what the actual fuck
the best phrase
¨ i don´t know¨
play in .5 speed. drunk/high version
J.C. channeling his inner My Morning Jacket with that 'Imitators, Innovators' comment
even his voice kinda changed... i think? compared to 2001 Julian (just puttin it out there)
+Malja Steffi Lee smoking, drinking singing while exhaling will all change your voice for the worst, just listen to the strokes live in 2001 and then 2015
julian fernando te esperamos en chile¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
he reminds of mark foster
play in 1.5 sounds like normal smart person.
i can't stand that woman !! Her questions were so empty, i don't know if she doesn't get the language or what, but pleeeaasseeee, be more interesting, at least for Julian.
She is not his groupie, she is a journalist. She is supposed to make uncomfortable questions, not pee on herself like a fangirl ;) I read this interview in the official fansite and lots of people agreed it was really good. Rolling Stone and Pitchfork quoted it, indeed. I posted the links in my comment. :)
he's so stoned
+isidora anfossy not really, since...2009? 2008? he's been clean
He looks like he's reading off something during this interview.
Julian sounds so stoned here...
