“Buy the dip” is really originated from passive investors into the s&p500. There’s nothing wrong with this - the problem is people have taken this phrase to mean literally buy anything that goes down, which is obviously proving to be incorrect, as long as you own financially stable business with earnings, continue to buy and trust management to make intelligent buybacks. (what goes down, goes up sooner or later).
I've found that when the market's going down and you buy funds wisely, at some point in the future you will be happy. To me it will be highly delusional to hold unto your money waiting for the price to sky rocket.
When interest rates were low I refinanced my mortgage. When interest rates are high… I’ll be looking for new opportunities. And no matter what the rate is, always a great time to invest in yourself and skills.

After seeing your HDFC portfolio, I would advise you to join Wisdom Hatch basic tutorials. Honestly as of today it would have touched the ground level, which according to me is not a wise thing.And any wise person would sell it when it's high & buy when it's gone below our previous buy price or atleast the lowest for now. Technical analysis on a daily basis will help.
If management of a company can keep such a news private till the day of the announcement .. without any rumours .. thats a really good management .. Made approx 25% profit , in about 1 month .. Also holding HDFC Amc with a loss but I have conviction that it will atleast touch its previous high within an year

Akshat the reason y HUL has performed bad is because of the barrier to entry in fmcg businesses is becoming easy. Any company with capital is getting into fmcg and eating market share from large corporations. HUL is seeing a decline in market share in all of their products. Remember that investors who invest look at competitive advantage in the next 5years and HUL doesn’t have any competitive advantage at the moment so u won’t make money in HUL for now. No matter how much u promote it.

Good analysis, wish you had touched upon the swap ratio and how it would be calculated if one does not hold HDFC in multiples of 25. Would it be a wise move to buy or trim HDFC to make the holding a multiple of 25?
If the business is super growing then nobody merger two entries togather, some stock need to demage to take more profit, here the thing is Ulta? Time will tell the truth with in 1 year. For swing traders it's okay, but do not hold for long term.

If there were so many reasons for the stock price to shoot up, Then why didn't it happen yesterday ? Why didn't it happen a week ago ? Why EXACTLY ON THE DAY THEY ANNOUNCED THE MERGER?
I understand this merger acted as a catalyst. But that's a very generic statement. There's always a catalyst that shoots up a stock price. ALWAYS. Stock prices don't just randomly go up. There's always a catalyst. As much as I continue to follow your content moving forward, This video genuinely feels like an attempt to prove a point that you made when you were purchasing HDFC shares a few weeks earlier.

Good analysis, wish you had touched upon the swap ratio and how it would be calculated if one does not hold HDFC in multiples of 25. Would it be a wise move to buy or trim HDFC to make the holding a multiple of 25?
Investors should book partial profit.
If the business is super growing then nobody merger two entries togather, some stock need to demage to take more profit, here the thing is Ulta? Time will tell the truth with in 1 year. For swing traders it's okay, but do not hold for long term.
Pl. give us names of low price companies we can invest.
