- With the recent passing of Roger Corman, we wanted to pay tribute with a colorized compilation of his early sci fi and horror comedy films of the 50s. Corman shot his early films in black and white because it was cheaper, otherwise they may have come out looking like this.
Featuring
Day the World Ended
It Conquered the World
Not of This Earth
The Wasp Woman
Attack of the Crab Monsters
Little Shop of Horrors
Creature from the Haunted Sea.
All made by American International Pictures
RIP Roger Corman
Great job, excellent colorization
"you wanna purchase you purchase. you don't wanna purchase you don't purchase, i aint gonna force you to purchase"- Dick Miller is crazy fun and one of THE cult actors of cinema, and Roger Corman was one of the greats of cinema...endlessly inventive and inspiring to generations. This looks terrific and a fitting tribute.
I really have to go back and watch some of these. I've only seen his LSOH so far.
You made such a great work! I have a question about the clips you got from "It Conquered the World". I was quite astonished about the video quality which doesn't looks like a vhs rip like all the copies available everywhere. I never saw a video quality like this for this movie so I was wondering where you got these clips. Thankies!
Thank you, Of all the versions of It Conquered the World I could find, I found the best quality from the opening of "Elvira Mistress of the Dark". You'll notice that they redubbed the footage too.
Corman’s movies were a seminal part of my childhood. Terrifying to my tiny little child-brain at the time, but I just couldn’t leave them alone. I remember in particular Not of this Earth and Attack of the Crab Monsters.
👏🙂
