Love watching these old sci-fi movies. Always fun to watch.
Old movies? That was nasa practicing how to fool the American public 🤣😂😅.
Yes, it all helped the Never A Straight Answer theory
Whenever I have trouble falling asleep I put on old these old sci-fi movies from 50-60s. I don't know why but they are very calming to me and it works within an hour. The first half you think about what is wrong (i.e. gravity) and then it doesn't matter because you are asleep by the second half. I saw some and loved some 60's plus movies especially when Star Trek would air just after church on Sunday. 7 siblings including my self would buy ice cream and race home and watch Kirk and the gang on their exploits as they were telecast for the first time every week.
Gotta love the minimalist number of staffers in mission control. Nowadays they got more staff than pre musk twitter.
Spielberg should remake this
Thank you CCC. I enjoyed watching and chatting with you all. Let's do this again soon
I always got a kick out of that title. I'm picturing Telestar and Sputnik lunching grenades at each other.
RIP Roger. With you we knew there would never be a dull moment.
I've never heard of this movie 🎬 but i 😊 it very quickly. I lived the cute simple special effect & tricks.
God bless the Souls of everyone who made this movie 🎬. They really made me happy❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 This is my favorite movie that I've watched so far.
If you liked this movie....please watch Attack of the Crab monsters...you will thank me for it! Lol
Radio comes on instantly like the old tubes were pre-heated? Interesting! LOL
I watch 1950s sci fi movies to see where some of our current inventions originated and also what some lies about space travel were inspired by.
Roger Corman graduated from Stanford University in 1947. He is currently 97 years old and will be 98 in April.
"my elastic just snapped! A bit racy there!.
Gripping. SFX....edge of Mt PC. Screen
The gateway to Star Trek. I honestly prefer these in black and white. Like when I watched them as a kid in the 60s.
Compare and contrast with: A) 2001 A Space Odyssey, or B) Star Wars.
Explains why audiences were so shocked by the authenticity of A and the adventure of B.
Another film that should be shown continuous loop, 24/7, at every death-row prison facility on this planet.
Would they get to live, maybe after writing a short philosophical essay? Or is the purpose merely torture, before they walk the line?
Chick: "Did...did you hear something?"
Dude: "Yeah, my elastic just snapped."
Ah, the good old days, when you could leave earth in a BarcaLounger 😎
We have lift off... foot rest up, (stand by for second stage ignition). I feel ya bro... commencing countdown, engines on.
Haha- loungers appeared just as I scrolled your comment.
Remember 'Lawnchair Larrry'? lol
Thanks for this great movie, CCC!
What means " CCC"?🤔

YES HOW I REMEMBER THIS VERY WELL DONE FILM FROM THE AMAZING ROGER CORMAN! I SEEN IT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD MOVIE HOUSE !!! THE BEACH THEATER IN THE BRONX IN 1958 ! I WAS 6 YEARS OLD!!! CORMAN WAS AMAZING WITH HIS ABILITY TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE ACTORS AND HIS IMAGINATION
Hey i love your comment and passion. But all -caps? Theres no need to yell! Even so, you also are great. Be well!

Cracks me up thinking my 58 cadillac was running around when this movie was made.
The old Merc is a more stylish car 😊
THANK YOU.
😊Taglines for the film a swingin summer read: They're Lovin', Laughin' and Livin' it up and for kicks playing "Chicken on Water Skis!" and Spread Out the Beach Towels...Grab Your Gals...it's gonna be A Swingin' Summer!
Definitely should be a contender in the Academy Awards.
Wow, those astronaut seats look very comfortable.
i think roger corman is the greatest director of all time
That first couple sure don't look like high schoolers to me.
Unless they are dumb as rocks, and being held back.
People were more mature at younger age back then . 😉😉😉😉😁😁
@@Mercmad Yeah, well these are at least college age.
Ozzie and Harriet they ain't .
That main bad guy in this movie seems like he must really enjoy that leash speaker thing he wears around his neck. LoL 🤣
They were held back a decade.
Not the brightest ,
repeaters , I guess...
CCC & PizzaFlix bring back the Saturday afternoon B-movie, Thank You!
Roger Corman RIP: May 9, 2024 (age 98 years), Santa Monica, CA
Totally Great Movie with excellent scenes and music!!!! One of my favorites!
Love it many thanks for posting.

Huh?🤔

When Sybil goes into the solar energy room, the door opened to the left. When Ponder pushed it open, it opened to the right.
Just sayin'.
Well spotted. Maybe the door goes both ways.
the images of the last satellite were used in ''Lost in Space'' a few times :)
"Ad Astra Per Aspera" Latin for "To the stars through difficulties"
I think Sybil is also the Wasp Woman.
The wasp woman. Love it
So cool to see Dick Miller playing a normal human being! All the times I've seen him before, he's always playing the loudmouth, brash working-class dude. Kind of weird to see him acting and speaking normally.
Phew !!!!! I was worried for a minute lol.
Better than 80% of all space movies
Can tell I'm gonna like this. Laughing, wondering why they launched TEN manned satellites at the barrier🤔
Because 10 apollo spacecrafts were either ruined by fire or failed before Apollo 11.
@@dawnemile7499I hope you are joking.
@@lancecampbell4323 Why do you hope that?
@@dawnemile7499 Because only Apollo 1 was destroyed by fire on the ground. No one knows any history any more.
Como siempre las películas antiguas súper buenas bien realizadas me gustó muchísimo
Can bright colors (red, orange, yellow) only work against a black background with colorized movies?
Arrrggh! I'm out of popcorn!
The Predictive programming in this movie should be a much belated Academy Award... much belated. In 2024 with 20/20 memory of visions, The movie gets it done the rest of the way. GENERAL QUARTERS.............. man your battle stations , enlist nuclear deterrents... fire one... ready on 2.......... MEDIC. The only thing real were the 1957 and 1958 cars
This proves we didn't go to the moon because of the barrier. Yeah, didn't think of that, didja? Yeah. 🧐😬
😂🤣
Still trying to work how anyone can prenetrate the Van Allen belt tbh
@@londonlady227 : From what I understand their trajectory was via the thinnest limbs and they calculated the exposure would be brief enough not to be of great concern . . . or were willing to risk it. I'm just curious about the film. What precautions or special adaptations were made to the camera lining. One Haselblad guy said nothing was done to the cameras. Hard to understand unless the film cassettes were altered and he didn't know about that.
😂
1:22 - They don't have another satellite with a camera so this must be a camera on the satellite using space age 'bounce back photo' technology. And as it's spinning it is also using 'spin frame rotational snap' technology. Both of these will probably be coming to the market in the next few months.
Ironic the aliens were right.
Lounge chairs on a spaceship, go figure!, but an okay 50s flick: C.
"Gentlemen, are we frightened of these aliens merely because they've proved themselves capable of destroying the earth? We think that if we do what they expressly forbid they'll simply forget all about it".
There are several Corman alumni in this cast.
Fun one thanks ccc
Good movie 👍
what a trip.
I thought he might like us humans after he put a heart in himself.
He was horny after the heart transplant.
Hola. Me he perdido algunas películas... Podrías activar los subtítulos en español para disfrutarlas? Gracias.
😊
claro. pour que no?
did you notice the spanish headline?!
Muito bom. Maravilhoso
No helmets for those astronauts, wonderful!!
Combination of War of the Worlds and Star Trek TOS!
Dick Miller as the lead? How could I pass it up?
and Richard Devon who time traveled from multiple roles on The Rifleman (usually as a spineless bad guy).
Speed of light the new frontier!
Almost everything in the movie is believable, but UN satellite control? That's just beyond all belief.
try telling UN drones that.....
It will be the WEF satellite control, a division of World Control
I’m still waiting on the sequel.

Starts off with Space Angel music.
I remember Space Angel from Channel 5 in NYC circa. 1963-65. I totally forgot about the music. Thanks for the reminder.
Wow, no problem with the absense of gravity.
That dude was in Gremlins
Cormans favourite actor
No worries 😊
we are INFECTED !...."Dream of a Ridiculous Man" by Fyodor Dostoyevski had that theme in a sci-fi story of an Earthling going to a distant planet and infecting them with existential philosophy ! was the basis for "AVATAR" or so my daughter thinks. I agree.
2:25 Chris Farley? as skeptical scientist!
Ring-a-ding-ding-ding!
Can I watch your movies on another platform besides RUclips.
Rip Roger
If I was 8 years old in 1958 would believe it all!
Pretty good classic 50's sci-fi movie. The colorization is horrible tho.
шикарно ракета остановилась в космосе. систему тормозов держат до сих пор в секрете. )
Yes! And the laundry machine, dryer, fridge, artificial gravity, and all the other crazy stuff! Wtf? The most unenlightening documentary i've ever seen.
I fthey could travel at the speed of light in 1958: how could they be passing through Andromeda; and why can't we travel that rapidly now?
So how did those laser reflectors get on the moon to measure the distances?
They were put there.
Aw look at those cars.
This film, i have never seen.
I liked the 35 year old high school students at the beginning of the movie. I guess they couldn’t get any young actors.
OF COURSE
Oh, mother! Blood!"😅
ms carrington was the wasp woman.
Septics still trying to figure out Roswell-crash antigrav back in '58. Area S-4 not even on the drawing board.
The wasp woman 12:00
2:30 Walter Paisley & the Wasp Woman together in the same movie !
really extiting!
He's smoking a pipe yet he's going to space? Astronauts aren't smokers because they can't smoke when in space so the nicotine addiction would overwhelm them. This guy with his pipe addiction couldn't make it in space but "somehow" in the movie he figured he could go anyway.... lol.
WE ARE THE new RULE ❤
That's what she said
"Yeesh........MST3K shoulda did this movie eons ago lol!"
One in a countless series of so called "higher aliens" who presume to know what's best for mankind.
We’ve made andromeda at the speed of light 😂😂. Like millions of years to get there …. And ground control speaks to then on an instant . Things have progressed since then …
Wow Van was wayy to sus, shocked he didn't get voted off when he was found in labs over Johns body!
Roger Corman ressemble terriblement a ce pervers de hugh hefner
❤
Colorized films are stupid. Eventually, some aspect of it looks wrong and weird (Susan Cabot's white face and bright orange eye shadow?), and they never look like a color film that was filmed in color. There's nothing wrong with a black and white film in black and white.
That beem from the satellite that's what happened to Hawaii
At the end it looked like one of the planets was hanging by a string; probably just some kind of weird astronomical phenomenon.
Roger Corman also stars in it.
I do wish they had chosen Ronald Regan to play the president.
Susan Cabot was an exquisite petite little spinner. No wonder she was a CIA favorite.
