This is really random but I'm a 16 year old girl who has been a subscriber of your channel for over a year now and your videos have helped me so much. Last year during my GCSEs your videos were one of my main sources of relaxation and recently I've been suffering mentally so much about my appearance to the point where I'm experiencing anxiety over it and have never felt lower in my life. You talking about how Mark wishes he'd gone to the priory earlier encouraged me to go to a mental health centre on Saturday and I have my first counselling session on Thursday, so thankyou for raising the awareness of mental health and in a way partially saving mine :)

Sometimes when I am in your situation and forget a name, the harder I try to recall it, the worse it gets. I find, if I distract my attention on something else for a bit, then the name usually comes back with such a joyful feeling. When chatting to my husband and I forget a name, I ask him to tell me the initials of the forgotten name, that always works for me. You are lovely Nadia. I have learnt so much from you. 💖💖💖

Hi Nadia, Mark and family, I’ve only found you recently and I love your vlogs so much. Thank you for all the hard work you put into them! I’ve stopped this vlog halfway through, because I wanted to say to Nadia that apparently memory loss is common for the menopause/peri menopausal women. I have the same problem and only recently found this out, some of my friends of a similar age (I’m 48) have the same thing. Apparently other things can make it worse, I have ptsd, chronic back pain and have to take strong medication. My GP did a blood test to rule out dementia. You all have such a lot going on, and achieve so much. Please don’t worry about having a super tidy house, I dread to think what our house would have looked like if I Home schooled our daughters and had such busy working lives as you! I’m in awe of you all, sending a big pat on your backs! Jo xx

Hi lovely lady....my grandad passed away with Alzheimer's. I was told for example, if you can't remember where you put your car keys this is nothing to worry about, it's when you don't know what your car keys are used for this is when you should start worrying. Hope this eases your mind a wee bit X

Hi from FREEZING cold Nebraska!! Nadia, I'm 51; there are three signs of old age: One is loss of memory..................one is loss of memory..............what the hell are the other two?? It sounds like you've got so much going on in your life, your brain is getting "information overload." Too much, too fast.
"Middle age is when you go to bed at night and hope you feel better in the morning. Old age is when you go to bed at night and hope you WAKE UP in the morning." (Groucho Marx)

It’s menopause, at your age, we were decorating a bedroom, I took coffee to my husband, my mind went completely terrifyingly blank, I sat on the floor and cried and cried, it was so scary, that was the worst day, it happened quite a few times after but never as bad as that, now my memory, I would say, is normal for my age, 60 in May, it does get better 😘

Nadia I'm exactly the same and I think the more you try to remember the harder it gets. I feel like I'm going through filing cabinets in my brain, opening and shutting each one trying to find the answer. I've been to the doctor and she said it's a symptom of the menopause. I'm worse when I'm tired.

Nadia I’ve had to stop watching the vlog to let you know that I’m sure you do not have Alzheimer’s. I lost my dad to this horrendous disease at the age of 60 and my Nan (his Mum) also died at a young age.
I can assure you you’d have more than memory loss, basic everything chores like dressing, carrying out simple everyday tasks would be a problem, so in your case probably preparing food, doing your makeup and putting your clothes on.
Please do not worry, you will be making yourself worse just by having these thoughts, trust me I live with these worries everyday.
I’m going now to watch to the end of the vlog.
    Sending love 💕

Nadia I'm 48 and for the past 2 years or so my memory for names has got so bad. weirdly it seems to be mostly surnames, but i even forgot Chris Evans' name the other day and I used to listen to his radio show all the time... And I'll forget what my favourite film is or my favourite song... It's so horrible. I'm convinced it's connected to the menopause (at 46). My GP said that this could be the case but that even if it isn't many people start having problems recalling info once they get into late 40s onwards. He said it's not actually memory loss but just the powers of recall slowing down. The fact that you were able to learn yr lines so quickly and so efficiently is, I would agree with Mark, proof that yr memory is fine but we just have to accept that not being able to remember names/titles of films etc is just a natural part of getting older. sadly! we just have to keep on doing the guardian crosswords (which i'm shit at btw!) Try not to worry. You come over as incredibly sharp, incredibly articulate and incredibly intelligent. I wish I could talk like you can. You never um and ahh when talking like i do. Oh and i couldn't remember kevin spacey's name or bradley cooper's either! xx

Nadia it’s the menopause that does this to you. I was the same even to the point where I couldn’t even pronounce some words or even think of the right word to put in the sentence I was saying. Also sometimes people would say something to me and it was like they were talking in a different language and it was really scary. I went to the dr and told her everything even that I had to write notes to self to remember what I wanted done. I’m 49 and she said it’s down to menopause and that people really don’t know some of the side effect to this and Mark is right it’s your brains way to retain what’s important. Love these vlogs and am looking forward to greenfinger hell starting again to share it with you xxxx

    Hey Nadia,
I'm only a 20 year old student and i somehow always really relate with so much of what you're saying. I spend hours tidying my room and then its an absolute tip by the next day, I also really struggle to concentrate when driving sometimes and really struggle recalling some things- particularly names and dates! very much hoping this isn't Alzheimer's at my age ahaha!! However I do have dyslexia and dyspraxia; the dyslexia affecting my memory recall and my dyspraxia which causes my unorganisedness and messiness, which is very frustrating! Wondering if the same thing might be causing you your struggles. I may of course be barking up the completely wrong tree but it was just a thought!

City living does that to most of us, crave for the sea air. Nadia saw your sister Julia’s video the other day walk in the woods and poetry on gratitude was really calming. We all need nature, we drive out to country in the west mids as much as we can, but we are guilty of getting totally bogged down in city living and work. I was just going to say this. Menopause gives you huge brain fog. Methylation in your body needs to be leveled out so either too much or not enough copper can really mess you up. It's called the Walsh protocol. Also thyroid issues can also give memory/recall problems and a full thyroid panel should be run which can be like like pulling teeth out of a doctor.

You are focusing on the individual isolated forgotten names, this blocks though, just like panic you go into flight and fight. Everything goes into to shutdown. I have never been able to remember names but a will always remember your face, very embarrassing when I'm connecting the two. The majority of people I look after have vascular dementia and have all smoked and had high blood pressure, not looked after themselves. Alzheimer is starting to be linked to life style too. You are doing all the right things with your diet and exercise. To exercise your brain learn something different each day, trick your brain.

Don't worry Nadia, I'm 58 and since menopause I have had absolutely no memory for names, places or dates...pretty normal hun...I sometimes have pockets of total clarity and at other times I forget what I'm talking about half way through a sentence...joys of being a 'mature' lady (neither of which describes me my eldest just kindly pointed out..lol)

Omg - is that really all 🤣🤣 I’m 27 and for the life of me couldn’t remember my nieces middles names (she has 3) - I could remember one of them yet one of the other two is the same as my sons 🤣🤣 and the other of the other two was my aunties 🙄😩🤣 it took me over 24 hours to remember (I couldn’t ask my sister 🤣 too shamed) - I NEVER remember actors names!! Sooo don’t panic Nadia - you’re a normal parent with more to think about that names 🤣🤣 Oh and ... I’m extremely disorganised! And always pick at myself for not being organised like my friends are!! Seriously, us humans aren’t meant to be like for like!! We are different for a reason so stop worrying and embrace the madness 🥰

Omg Mark your room😱, I have palpitations just looking at it. If you organise it and declutter it might help with how you feel. Tidy room, tidy mind and I believe that. Nadia I had this 6 weeks ago. Developed menopausal anxiety resulting in the worst black fog ever. I couldn't do my job, I couldn't retain any information, paperwork may as well have been in a foreign language, it was horrendous and the more I couldn't remember things the more I panicked and I described to my doctor that it felt like someone had crawled into my head and just turned a switch off. My GP has put me on antidepressants short term and omg my life, my memory, my sanity has returned and I can do my job again. Its definitely the menopause Nadia, you haven't got Alzheimer's. Google menopausal brain fog, it's a real symptom and it's scarey. 💗

Nadia I have the same type of memory problem and know just what you mean when you say it is like a black hole. It is a horrible feeling groping around trying to find a name and it is just not there. I go through the letters of the alphabet and sometimes that can be a trigger, but like you I worry to that I have early onset Alzheimer's too and feel quite panicky at the thought of that. However.....a psychologist did say to me that because I have anxiety that my cortisol levels are probably high and that can cause memory recall problems and that she had done her PhD on this subject. Google cortisol and memory.
I will add to this that I CAN however remember every horrible thing that someone has ever said to me though, I think it is because there is an emotion is attached to it that it somehow sticks.

Vloguettes sounds greally.Well thought of.Please look at b12 groups and how important b12 is re intercellular transport Mthfr c677t and D3 hormone with k1 and k2 re vitimin d receptor pathway. Some people do not absorbed sufficient nutrients from food and unable to renew old cells hence extreme tiredness, depression ect.Alziemers and Dementia by the way are degenerative conditions related to b12 folate deficiency. Please see B12 deficiency and extreme tiredness ,depression, adhd and bipolar.I feel Mark will always struggle with depression without b12 replacement therapy with hormone d3 and Folinic not folic acid.Hair loss is due to overactive prostaglandin enzyme(PD04).Treatment Quercetin with non acid vit c and biotin.Hope this helps you .Bestest With Love x

My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 58. She died when she was 65. It scares me shitless that I’m going to get it. I could get a test to see my chances but what’s the point? Nadia, you haven’t got it. You are just a busy woman with a lot of information going in xx
