My Pironman 5 arrived yesterday. I'm giving it as a kid's birthday gift. I thought having a cool looking case will make him more interested in it. This video will be useful when I'm assembling it.
That is freaking adorable. I’d have it in a display cube running a gameplay footage loop of Jedi Survivor at a little desk with Cal Kestis sitting at the desk!
The little board that moves the ports to the back along with changing the mini HDMI ports in to full size ones makes this so good. Wish it was easier to find that board.
Oh my goodness it is SO TINY!! I absolutely love this, it is SUPER unnecessary for the Raspberry Pi but dang they did a great job matching a desktop aesthetic with a lil raspi
What wizardry did you do to get a Raspberry PI5 to support Steam Link? Any chance you could provide details, or better yet, a tutorial on how you went about doing it?
I am honestly curious myself, bought a Pi5 for the sole use of steam link after Samsung dropped steam link support and till date could never get it working on the Pi5, please do a tutorial as the steam help still mentions using Raspbian Stretch which as far as I know is not compatible with the Pi5
I love that little heat sink & cooler! It looks like a normal PC shrunk right down! Along with those 2 RGB case fans it really does look like a miniature version of a normal PC. I mean it's really nothing special in terms of the actual hardware or materials; all pretty basic stuff, there's loads of other nvme hats for the pi but I think they've done a great job on the design of this.
Soooo CUTE that's very FUN!! That cooling solution is wild tho 🥴lol, CPU + case fan working against each other and 0 exhaust 😂 To be fair that's how it looks on their website too even though they imply that both transparent fans are exhaust and the GPIO hole is an intake. But from what I know about fans, they're both intakes rn. That's kind of wild choice, and noisy for sure. If you keep this/someone does this, you should flip the top transparent fan so it exhausts. Makes a nice loop over the SSD and through the tower cooler.
I still think getting a used laptop is more affordable and way more powerful than a raspberry pi but this case makes me want to get one. It’s a total geek thing!
When looking at this I seen sata hats for the PI5 too I wonder if that would work with this as the same time? Would be nice to try and have the availability of the M.2 with the full size HDMI and 4 sata on top to make a NAS. Just my thoughts.
in another 5 to 10 years desktop computers will become a thing of the past. i can picture being able to use smartphones as a way to transport whatever work or leisure we do on a desktop.
Yeah most of us cannot type on a device that size, inevitably the larger your device the more hardware you can fit into it. As device performance has scaled, so has the requirements for software. Nowadays there isn't the need to optimize software like there used to be, code is written to be produced & modified fast & be readable rather than being written with performance as the main priority.
people have been doing that because we mostly work in websites and email, your smartphone does that already, decades doing that basically for games, you want to play locally, because google proved that cloud sucks
ETA, I want your controller budget! Your controller game is strong. Starfield special editions, SCUFS, and pro controllers aside, game recognise game. 😉
I need more specifics on that mini monitor and the stand that you have it on? it looks like the perfect size/specs that I need for a project that I have been working on for a while now to make the perfect work from the road setup.
These form factors are what I want to put an iPad motherboard into. If you've ever stripped an iPad, you'll find it's mostly battery and screen. the motherboard is just a strip about the length of a RAM DIMM. If I had a way to adapt the ipad LCD connector to another display output. I could fusion a small case for the iPad motherboard and power it with usb c, or even better, find a way to adapt the battery connector. The only issue with apple parts is the MICROSCOPIC CONNECTORS. It's not easy to even use tools. for perspective, this iPad motherboard case would be as thick and long as a normal RAM DIMM but it would have the power an M4 chip and only one cable would come out
Hey @ETA PRIME just wanted to reach out to see how you got steam link working on the Pi 5. General theme seems to be that you can't get it to work... but here you are.
I would think that the fan grilles would really restrict the airflow, for a fan that small. Maybe, the top on should be an exhaust fan, without a grill, and the lower one can be an intake. It might not be ideal, but the two intakes seem to be working against the heatsink fan, which is pushing from the front.
So first I'd like to say that this is adorable. That it looks like a mini desktop is really cute. That said, performance wise is there any point to this? Seems like at $160 plus the price of an ssd, you're competing with mini pcs that will outperform it.
I've had an Xbox series S for the last 3 years as desktop gaming supplement to my laptop. It's been a great media centre as well with a pretty good internet browser but I couldn't help wonder if it was jailbroken I could run software like blender and unreal engine.
I laughed at the mini display in the opening! Cute, but not very practical. It would be fun for a display under the Christmas Tree. It would be a perfect gaming setup for an “Elf on the Shelf.”
How did you get steamlink working on pi 5? They haven't updated the software in a while and any time I've tried to install it on raspian (on pi 5) it breaks the os. So I've had to fall back to moonlight and sunrise for game streaming.
If 3440 x 1440 works on my Pixel Pro via SteamLink with poor / fair connection. 50-75, it’ll do 2560 x 1440 fine. 2580x1080 works fine, too. 21:9, ultrawide for life! 🎉
Loving the less clickbait and more no BS titling + the SFF stuff, a good return to form

@@harleyn3089 Hi. Did you have to pay a custom fee?

LOL it is cute af.
I know right. Im waiting for a mini AIO 😂
I love your small form factor stuff you do keep it up Prime

That daughterboard plugging into the power and HDMI sockets is clever.
That's the cutest cpu cooler i've ever seen
Just got mine yesterday plan on building it Saturday morning can’t a wait ! It’s gonna be a nice decoration next to my 4090 pc 😂

The new case for the Pi 5 is impressive. Thank you for your review...I just ordered one.
i got a raspberry pi 5, I will definitely get this case for Christmas
perfect pc for my hamster (lol)
Nice device. One question: Need I an intel ultra 185H + RTX 4070 to play game on Pironman 5 ?
Finally, gnome friendly gaming
Oh, steamlink works on Pi5? Thought it wasn't.
Waiting for a proper retopie version too.
"All noctua fans, that'd be pretty cool"
I would hope so...
The AORUS M.2 drive looks like a GPU in that case!
OMG!! I just subscribed to your channel!! Love this!!
Definitely would love to see an update on how AetherSX2 and other emulators run on the overclock with updated drivers.

I'm interested in seeing temp scores on this cooler using thermal paste instead of pads.
Great video! Didn't think of having a small PC to stream from a main PC.
I use my steam deck to do that with the dock
That's a pretty cool looking build :O I'd love that!
Soooo CUTE that's very FUN!!

I had understood the RPI5 had not a Steam Link app vertion last time, it seems fixed now thanks
OMG! It is so cool! So tiny!
What stand is holding the magedok monitor? It's lovely. Thank you😊
That's too cute and cool.

For sure, it’s almost here.
For real, phones are one step away from being full-fledge gaming consoles with better operating systems lol
You can do that pretty much right now? But playing AAA is always gonna be out of the realm o phones. That's why computers won't dissappear.

what mini lcd screen did you use on the tumbnail
How did you get Steamlink onto a Pi 5?
I think it be really cool if they made a way for the case to connect to an external mini GPU like the ones you covered in your other videos.
Whats that fan configuration? Those two rgb fans look like intake and the cpu fan looks like is blowing towards the rgb fans? Seems weird
yeah fans are in wrong and it shows steamlink at the end but you can't run that on Pi 5 as of right now
Great device, you can use as a gaming console, as android tv and mikrotik or reverse proxy.
ETA, I want your controller budget! Your controller game is strong. Starfield special editions, SCUFS, and pro controllers aside, game recognise game. 😉

Do you think that you can create a custom PC handheld with this mini PC?
Pi isn't great.
There are a lot of old car displays with bad software but an HDMI port. It would be cool to have a tiny pie in your car.
Hey ETA Prime, do you have an affiliate link for the Pironman 5? I'm going to order one and just want to make sure you get the much-deserved support!
With gigabit ethernet you should be easily able to stream 4k. I do it to the Nvidia shield using sunshine and moonlight with no problems
Does the monitor stand come with the monitor or if it's separate, what is it?
Did you find the monitor stand? I'm also looking

I am unfamiliar with rasberry pi, can I use windows on it? I just want an small admin working pc.

Unnecessary. I like it a lot 👍
Incredible awesome 👏🏼 but I wonder how much pressure it can manage?
And it is wonderful for it's price point.
Tiny PC cool Looks a mini Gaming PC.....
It is so cool but I wish it has usb on front panel too.
Does the controller for Steam link connect to the raspbery pi? what one do you use?
Turn Up!!! FYE!!!
Finally! A PC for ants.
This is so cute
Actually better than my 200 pc
Can you send me the link for that tiny keyboard and monitor?
Next century all computers portable and compact and rechargable.
28 steps? I get stuck on Ikea furniture...
What is the big monitor are you using, the bezel is so thin across 4 sides

Wait. Does it come with the nvme ssd?
Im guessing that case wasn't built thinking on Air flow, bet GN would be pretty harsh on it guess you put fans in opposing sides, maybe just leave 1
i want this just for the fact i can have a truely mini pc next to my massive full tower chonker of a pc.
Please, please post a video on how to get Steamlink installed on the Pi 5!
LOL I'm here with 3 40mmx10xmm noc fans in my shopping list thinking the same thing with a full brass heatsink for the SSD.
It's neat
just imagine having the MediaTek 9300 or snapdragon 8 gen 3 in this
Hi! Can that small beuty run warframe?
man i want this

How did you get Steam Link working on the Raspberry Pi 5? I've been trying for months and can't get it working at all
Super mini itx

Why are you serious, friend... this is just a costume😂😂😂
Can this handle other could gaming like game pass?
Hey,
I would like to see whats possible in gaming on the Device at it self. It's a very interesting and cooll Channel
If 3440 x 1440 works on my Pixel Pro via SteamLink with poor / fair connection. 50-75, it’ll do 2560 x 1440 fine. 2580x1080 works fine, too. 21:9, ultrawide for life! 🎉
Will a 4090 fit?
what keyboard is that?
@etaprime have you ever come across one of these wireless keyboards with the trackpad on the left? or a ThinkPad like stick in the middle? thanks...
Just Imagine if you put a gpu-like heatsink on the ssd
As a PC-builder and enthusiast i'm very triggered by the fan configuration xD

Alright I gotta build one! Just for people to say...what the hell is that!? Hahaha
OcuLink adapter please
Emulation Tests please 😁🥺
Woah where's that display from
@@mediocreDevops did you find it? I'm looking too, he said magedok rugged Portable, but can't find this small one
This might be overkill, but you could buy one of those mini PCs, take out the motherboard, and put it in this case
Ok, It's a worth it!
I'm going to save all my money then I'm going to spend it
wil it run easier games like world of tanks? and im not talking about WoT:blitz
this better run Cyberpunk 2077 with Mods + RTGI + 8K + HDR + 500fps+ + minimal input lag
can this install window OS?
controller too big, need one of those 8bitdo the size of a matchbox
that thing has more power than my computer

How do I get this?
I wanna see cheap ryzen leptop whit steam os on it and hows runs
