That time when Peter sat down with Glen's former dad and he talked about all of the emotions that led to his decision to be who he was and Peter understood where he was coming from. I hadn't watched Family Guy in a while but seeing that episode first from the newer seasons made me realize the show was maturing and I've been catching up on its recent seasons since
Am I the only one that honestly thought Stewie was mouthing the intro
Partial terms of endearment and the life of Brian
Can you do one where Peter was treating Lois differently when his father found out that she was a Jew , Quagmire being a womanizer, Quagmire’s mother, Meg being ignored by the family, Brian founding out that he has a son, Peter founding out that his father isn’t his biological dad, Carter being a egotistical and arrogant man, racism of Cleveland, or when Lois becomes mayor and she took avantage of power.
How about frontline workers.
wtf happened to Brian and Stewie talking about suicide? that was bittersweet but definitely solidified their relationship as best friends.
That was the bank episode right? that was a very good one and quite sad I thought
@@theirishmeatlheadjimpicken5097 yup. When they are locked in the bank vault and talk about the gun. Oh and HAIL DEAR LEADER!! Please don't throw me in the basement
This was by far one of the most controversial episodes in Family Guy history. It dealt with one of the most dangerous subjects in existence. But a lot of people chose to ignore it due to the fact that it was only in one episode in one scene, but it resonated deep with some people, like myself, who often need to deal with this kind of issue almost on a daily basis
@Olivia Janquart true, but many failed to look to see something deeper than just a bank episode
Easily, EASILY should've been number one
“Whose talking about love? We’re talking about marriage” -Carter 😂😂
I feel like his version of marriage is the same as marriage in the middle ages, where marriage was used as a means of alliance rather than a ceremony of love.
@@Nicky2414 Well Carter is old fashioned 😂
@@Nicky2414 Its funny how we see Bebs past one the latest season and she had quite thugish backround.
@@JonSmith-oy4bi and old.
@@Tougin17 her name is Babs.
My number 1 would go to Stewie's friend who had cancer.
And because of his parents beliefs, the kid was not allowed to get treatment.
It was mumps
I was also going to say that
@@tamamabibi no that's a different episode. There is an episode where Stewie had had a friend who had cancer and his parents didn't want him to get treatment. So louis kidnaps the kid to get him treatment
I don't think Lois should have kidnapped him but he needed the treatment.
I was expecting that on the list too.
The episode with Quagmire's sister, the one with Brian and Stewie in the vault talking about suicide and the one with Stewie's sick friend whose parents didn't believe in medicine.
The quagmire one is Season 10. The Story Of Brenda Q. The vault one is in Season 8. Brian and Stewie. It’s a 40 minute episode with no cutaways. Just Brian and Stewie.
I remember that episode about Quagmire's sister, Brenda. Oof, it was too much but it was so real! And Partial Terms of Endearment. Then Family Guy was pulled out from FOX Philippines
@@charliejoson9145 it was not real at all because they portrayed abusers as doing it in public out in the open and showed cops and family as not having to do anything/cops not be able to do anything . Abusers in real life don’t abuse in public instead behind closed doors and mentally doing it
@@kingjohnny4314 - but do the cops intervene and apprehend the abusers in real life and not how movies depict it?
@@charliejoson9145 if there was a call by a family member or some one that saw the abuser abuse the victim the they would most likely investigate
“Ehhh, I too have an Uncle.” The mind of Peter Griffin is a black hole, isn’t it?
yes infinitely expanding.
I'd like to think it's a universe that is in dire need of exploring with limitless potential
still more intelligent than most youtube comments....
Nobody forgets the domestic abuse when we can see in the episode Quagmire sister suffering abuse from her boyfriend
They butchered the handling of that scenario so badly, it wasn't even worth mentioning.
Because it sucks!
That’s Seasom 10 episode 2
They were idiots when it came to that but Brian and stewie also came out before that so it shows they can do serious topics at that time but they chose to not
I think people hated it because it was badly depicted like cops are useless & the way they solve it by killing the abuser is not good, you could go to jail yourself.
You’ve got to hand it to the creators, they will never shy away from discussing issues that can be uncomfortable. But the fact that they do it with smart unapologetic humour makes it even more entertaining!
Not always, if u check the replies to diego cottos comment above, ull see sometimes they were like the stock market making error after error till the crashed and burned like its their favourite thing to do with the show more than anything else.
@@chrislanglois8275 They are people making jokes, people aren't perfect, you can't expect every joke to be perfect much less cater to your sense of humor

@@Nicky2414 it was an awesome show. I have the complete series on DVD.
@@DoubleM-hf6ih didn’t even know they had it on DVD, after the show left Tv, never saw it again
In the entire 'Family Guy' franchise, we witnessed:
Domestic violence.
Same sex marriage.
Atheism.
Shoplifting/theft.
Inclusivity/ableist.
Sounds like South PArk.
Don't forget about the "Abortion" episode.
@@abellewis3062 the episode that’s hard to find in which I’m looking for as if now
@@ArioTheBum It’s not hard to find, that episode is on DVD. The episode is called Partial Terms of Endearment.
The episode where Brian and Stewie are in the bank safe deposit box and talk about suicide.
I actually shoplifted once, but it was completely by accident.
I was planning on going down to a library to do some research and stopped by a Woolworths to get a bottle of home brand creaming soda as my drink since I'd forgotten my drink bottle and I didn't want to go all the way home just for that.
However, by sheer chance, because I was chatting with one of the employees as I walked towards the self serve checkout, telling them what I was going to research, I completely forgot the reason I was heading for the self serve checkout in the first place and walked right out the store.
For some reason the machines didn't even activate.
It wasn't until I was halfway towards the library, taking a sip, when I froze, realizing I hadn't paid for my drink.
Due to my research time being limited, I went to the library first and, on the way back home, stopped at that Woolworths and paid for my now half finished bottle.
When one of the store clerks asked why I was paying for an almost empty bottle I explained.
It was a bit embarrassing, but we had a good laugh about it and he thanked me for coming back to pay for my purchase.
You’re a good man
Good on you. I also accidentally shoplifted once when I got my ears pierced at Claire’s. My mom somehow got a Masquerade Mask stuck on her jacket, and it actually took the machines at least 30 seconds to go off, and we were halfway down the hall and in the bathroom when I noticed it. It was a little embarrassing but we got it cleared up.
Same. I was a baby and I stole a bottle of ibuprofen. And I can't even take medicine like that cause of my stomach issues. XD
Don't forget about the one where Stewie's friend is diagnosed with cancer and the Griffins protest against 'Christian science'; and that one where Peter and Lois become anti-vaxxers.
Actually it was religious beliefs in which those parent's chose not to take their child to see a doctor, which becomes abused by people who believe vaccines cause autism despite their is no evidence of that what so ever.
Peter having a Stroke...That was Dead Serious!!
Im transgender and I think the episode with Glenn's dad is hilarious. Do you really expect anything but low brow comedy from family guy touching on any one subject? Its not like they made the transgender episode anymore mean spirited then others. And Family guy has gone after all types of people, gay, straight, white, black, religious, non-religious. Really its just like south park, you cant expect any one group of people to be safe from jokes and stereotypes in that show. If you cant handle that sort of comedy, dont watch those kinds of shows.
I definitely hear that but people has gotten soft over the year so of course people are gonna be how they feel about that transgender episode
@blue hunter, Brian actually hooks up with Ida, multiple times, even an episode where he tells everyone about it, which upsets Quaqmire to a point that his dad has to choose between him and Brian.
And it turned out Ida is a pretty cool chic😁
I watched a guy say that he didn’t like it since it portrayed transgender people in a bad way and in total was just a train wreck of an episode
They even make fun of jews and theyre jewish🤷
One thing to remember is that Seth has said that they are holding up a mirror to society, which fascinates me, because he isn't trying to "sell" any viewpoint, but highlighting the often ridiculous attitudes that we often just accept or practice without much thought....
I love family guy but he he definitely tries to sell view points. Look to South Park or iasip for a better mirror.
Peter: I got it, that’s the guy from BIG, TOM HANKS. Everything he says is a stitch.
Tom hanks: “I have aids”
That’s actually the pilot
It is the pilot episode death has a shadow
Your right dragon dgb
I am quite surprised that they did not include/ mention either the episode dealing with domestic abuse (Quagmire's sister and her abusive boyfriend) or the episode dealing with suicide (Brian and Stewie when they were locked in the bank vault for the weekend).
Family Guy should talk about Autism. Maybe make Meg on the spectrum to bring to light how underdiagnosed women/girls are. Some of them aren't even diagnosed until adulthood.
I feel like Chris is more likely to be on the spectrum then Meg would.
@TheRapper10000 it was fairly simple to read, oh wait were you just trying to be a dick? Oh my bad
It was very touching that Brian was willing to give up both of his kidneys to save Peter’s life
That was Season 9. It’s called New Kidney In Town
Top 10 Brock Samson moments on Venture Bros this show was Underrated

One of the greatest shows ever made, hope it gets un-cancelled!
The Brian & Stewie episode was extremely serious. I definitely can relate with Brian
What about domestic abuse when it came to quagmires sister and her boyfriend
How was that not on this list it needed to be addressed and honestly Family Guy could have been more respectful
Seriously.
They handled it poorly
Because it sucks!
That sucks. It tells you, not only is the victim's fault for staying in an abusive relationship, but that you should kill the abuser, too. And THAT'S AFTER one episode that tells you you must stay in an abusive relationship, or your abuser will suffer or tear themselves apart.
"a volcano is coming this way" is forever one of my favorite lines in the whole show
I'd add the episodes with Glenn's sister and her abusive relationship on here too
But that episode sucks
@@donovanlocust1106 I didn’t say they were good episodes though. I just said that they tackled toxic relationships and spousal abuse
That’s 10x02

I am glad I wasn't the only one lol
LOL
You forgot this: Hint: Ongoing argument irl in the episode Cleveland comes back
How are Jeff and Brenda not here?
And Also the episode Where Scott has cancer and his parents dont want to send him to chemo?
Easily top 3 both
That Jeff and Brenda episode was a whole mess. Basically saying it's the victim's fault for not leaving and how they can easily just walk away from all it.
Good feedback
@@acm7661 That wasn’t the message I received from it. The message I got was the exact opposite actually.
@@lorddraugr3138 I'm not trying to say you're wrong but when Quagmire was reading to Brenda a letter talking about being a strong woman and telling her to make the right decision and the whole thing with Lois, it basically told me that you can just up and walk away from it and go to the police not to mention Joe said he could arrest Quagmire for threatening murder, but not help with Brenda then chooses to do something after she gets assaulted. It's honestly not easy for a victim to do what they say is the right thing because of fear and emotional damage
@@acm7661I guess I wasn’t exactly thinking when I wrote the comment. I thought about it a little bit after though.
Yeah, that’s basically what I thought to myself after I posted the comment.
Not even a mention of Quagmire's sister and her domestic abuse?
they tackled that so terribly it doesn't even deserve a negative mention
Gonna need a bigger list, oh boy
@@intj4978 yeah it sucks
That’s season 10 episode 2
How can Brian be an atheist when he has literally met Jesus and witnessed him perform miracles?
He figured out that God was pissed with Peter and he thanked God for his sense of smell
and almost had sex with lois
Because they can't let a bit die.
Hey, Moslems don't believe in Jesus' divinity, yet acknowledge him as a prophet.
@@hannahmartin9705 It is called plot holes. When animated shows like Family Guy, The Simpsons, etc. have been on the air for as long as they have there are multiple changes with the writers and producers. The writers don't go back to review old scripts to see if what they are writing for a new episode would contradict an old one. They just proceed. As for us, the viewers, we are the ones that catch the errors and have to move forward.
I remember this somewhat recent one that commented on the whole scenario surrounding kneeling instead of saluting while the Star Spangled Banner plays during a sports game
I understand that episode. Unlike Meg standing up for herself to her family and Quagmires abused sister, I can see why Number 1 takes the spot. A promise for a friend to serious issues. Pretty sure nobody likes it that Lois almost admits that Meg gave birth to Stewie. Really? At least, there was only one funny part; road runner parody.
Brian is an atheist but real fans know he consistently says, "Oh My God"... 😂🤣
And he has witnessed Jesus perform miracles. And seen biblical plagues fall on the Griffins.

That time Peter said he didn't like The Godfather. Such a great scene.
Uh.... the episode where they dealt with Domestic Abuse with Quagmire’s sister?
But that episode sucks
@@donovanlocust1106 he’s not saying the episode is good. He’s just mentioning it becsue the video is about times family guy tackled real issues. Abuse is real issues
Most of the time Family Guy tackling serious issues is Seth MacFarlane shoving his own personal opinions down peoples throats
I would argue Stewie's friend with Cancer whose parents won't give him treatment because of religious beliefs should be on here. Very debatable topic.
3:52 that stood out to me. I had a Christian friend. And when ever I was asked if got exists I was like "he may exist he may not exist who knows?"
IS NO ONE GONNA TALK ABOUT HOW THE NARRATOR SAID "LBGTQ" XD I am not throwing shade as our host (Yes, we have DID) is very accepting and respectful but I just find it funny lol
- Taylor
It stuck out a little but can easily be ignored as a simple mistake.
"When You Wish Upon a Weinstein"
I'm pretty sure that's the episode that initially got the show cancelled.
"Partial Terms of Endearment" is probably the closet they got to "All in the Family" in terms of subject matter.
Damn, Chris looking nice in a tux.
I actually love the abortion episode it brings up a serious topic not talked about in tv shows and peters porn scenarios are hilarious.
LMAO when the guy said "welcome to Watchmojo" it legit looked like Stewie was saying it.
What about Screams Of Silence, Peter-assment, or Brian And Stewie? I expected them to be on this list.
I feel Brian when it comes to religion, but I believe in mother nature.
That basically religion.
Here’s a fact: Out of all Family Guy characters voiced by Seth MacFarlane, Brian is the only character voiced using his normal voice
Its a slightly deeper variation, but yes. It is.
I love how they tackle serious issues these are very serious times , people should take it seriously
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q. I would think domestic violence would have been more serious than some of the ones that did make this list.
If u want to watch it it’s 10x02
This is surprisingly interesting. I didn't know that Family Guy could go so deep.

A Dogthiest.
Ohhhhh I get it
Is it me or is the audio just a hair off? Especially noticed them when we reach number two
I'm surprised you guys didnt cover the episode of Brian considering suicide while they were stuck in the bank. I remember that episode vividly since they didnt cut to any gag jokes or have any cheery music at all in that episode
There was also that episode (Season 10 Episode 12 “Livin’ on a Prayer”) when Lois discovered the parents of one of Stewie’s friends wouldn’t get their sick son the medical treatment he needed because of their religious beliefs and there was nothing the law nor Joe could do because the law system didn’t see it as child abuse. That also counts as serious issues as well
Just because they Talked about these issues does not mean they handled them Well! Especially in the later seasons.

It's hard to believe that this offbeat show has kept us laughing for the better part of 22 years.
In this new season of family guy I AM FURIOUS that the show producers won’t tackle the issue of COVID-19 and the only mere occurrence when they speak of it is during the episode about them being stuck in a Cutaway
You do know that it usually takes a entire year after writing up an episode with a real life based premise to fully animate an episode, right?

South park tackles covid
This episode went into production LONG BEFORE the pandemic broke out so it was just an unfortunate coincidence the episode begins with a slight flute pandemic even though that wasn't the real focus of the episode. Besides most family Guy plots began with one little thing and then halfway through it become the main problem
@@Wiiguy1606 south park has a lot of pandemics in their show. Their was the SARS pandemic. They covered the COVID-19. They covered the gluten which was a parody of ebola. South park is always covering real issues and they know how to also cover real life issues as well like depression in the landslide episode. And his break up with Wendy paralleling with butters break up. Anxiety too. South park covers real life stuff better than family guy. Family guy just covers the real issues in the point of view of Seth McFarlane and that is why the show is always bashing on Republicans but south park makes fun of everyone and the creators even said it's either everything or nothing okay.
Life of Brian hit me the hardest, & Partial Terms of Endearment is the only episode I have not seen.
When he said welcome to watchmojo , that character's lips sync perfectly lol....
I just started watching the show for the first time a few months ago and instantly fell in love with it, but 9:20 couldn’t have come at a worse time because I obsessively watched Family Guy as a way to help me keep my mind off of my dog’s passing. Another great time the show tackled serious issues was the debate between vaccinations in Season 15 Episode 6 “Hot Shots.” Many people, like me and my family, can’t receive vaccinations due to medical reasons such as allergic reactions and genetic conditions. But there’s also the issue of people choosing not to get the vaccines due to health risks, which have been a continuous debate for decades and while vaccines do work for some people, they’re not always effective for some people, like me. It’s a real serious issue today
