The episode with Quagmire's sister getting abused by her horrible boyfriend is one of the darkest installments of any comedy show I've seen. NOBODY was expecting a mostly lighthearted show to deal with domestic violence, and end with the abuser being violently murdered.
Truthfully, as a stroke survivor I actually find McStroke as one of the best episodes, especially with how exaggerated the droopiness of the paralyzed side is.
“Quagmire’s behavior towards the Simpsons.” That scene was shockingly dark. I know it’s a cartoon for those who are 14 years and over, but thank goodness for the creators who literally bring these characters back.
In addition, in the episode ‘The Movement’, Peter sets up a cutaway for his Nike commercial. In that scene, it starts off weird by having multiple families, then it ends in a dark way by killing all families and being in death row. Peter also tries to send a message that he’s not afraid of H-E-two hockey sticks, and says something that had to be censored.
Yeah that's the only episode that I didn't like bc it made Stevie look more evil than ever. Even though he has tried to commit mass murder tons of times lol. This was just intimately evil so if felt creepier
Maybe it's just because I grew up with Family Guy or I just have a dark sense of humour... but everything on this list makes me laugh in one way or another 🤷♂️😂
I laugh too, but at the same time I understand why people wouldn't like these jokes, and I don't try to be edgy saying "snowflakes!", or "it's family guy! Pfff, DARK HUMOR!!!".
"For some, these scenes may prove highly offensive, as they're asking us to laugh at the severe symptoms of a medical emergency." "STROKE! STROKE!" "Stop mocking me!" LMFAO 🤣
You could probably stick all of Quagmire's non-consensual acts for number 1, including walking in on a tied up teenage girl and saying "Dear Diary, Jackpot"
Viewers went 10 years with no reason to think Stewie wasn't a murderer. Um. No. No, viewers were pretty clear that he was a murderer. Like, emphatically and unquestionably he has killed people. His first kill was in season 1 😂😂
1:16 Oh yeah the JFK PEZ dispenser thing. And the fact that his backup PEZ is his brother Bobby Kennedy who was also assassinated just rubs salt in the wound…
In the Christmas episode, the mother and father were still alive, which is why they were tied up. If I’m not mistaken, the creators confirmed this in the commentary

Someone might complain about it to RUclips and then this specific video would have been demonitized. Watchmojo explained it on their video [going meta on themselves]
A lot of these dark moments, especially from the more recent seasons, are just proof of how much Seth and his crew are done with this show and are trying to get it cancelled. For years, Seth's wanted to make Family Guy more of a dramedy like the episode with Brian and Stewie locked in the bank vault or their take on Agatha Christie in "And Then There Were Fewer".
I now feel kinda bad that I actually find many of these so-called dark moments to be pretty funny except for the ones that aren't (namely, Brenda's abusive boyfriend, Brian's unexpected death, and Brian and Stewie's conversation in the vault), since the whole point of "Family Guy" is to be a comedy with controversal humor, and the fact that it's also a cartoon means that no one should take it seriously at all except for the times that actually are serious.
I could have sworn you guys already did this list a couple weeks ago. I remember looking to see if Stewie getting molested in the men's bathroom at the park was on the list. Also, there was one other Family guy list that was similar if memory serves.
"We didn't think Stewie would go THIS far!" Oh you mean the character whose shtick is plotting to murder his own mother? And who had already killed people long before that episode?
dark doesn't mean bad. just because it's in a comedy show doesn't mean it's always gonna be funny. you may think some jokes are in "bad taste" but they aren't making fun of anyone. they're shinning a light on topics not a lot of people like to talk about and would rather hide under the rug as if that'll make them not real. instead Family Guy portrays realistic exaggerations (it's a comedy cartoon after all) so that you take notice. it reaches its audience but doesn't demean or make fun of them.
Right and I find it funny that Stewie is the only one who calls him out (tells him to piss off), you'd think the adults or at least Quagmire would realize his actions
I love how family guy isn’t afraid to talk about and/or make fun of dark shit, whilst ACTUAL human beings shy away, or don’t help or don’t even acknowledge things. All FG is doing is rattling personal bubbles obviously.
The darkest most shocking thing that I’ve encountered is that someone could make a video this long about family guy crossing the line, they’ve addressed it themselves it’s on you if you get offended you’re the one watching the show and being offended is a made up condition with no symptoms anyway.
This video is on point and remember Family Guy spares no one The darkest moments from South Park is the Woodland Critters episode and when Eric Cartman grounded up Scott’s parents into chili and fed them to Scott
How about ten times the family guy family characters wore DIFFERENT outfits (aka Lois wearing that blue tank top in the jfk pez shooting vs her usual attire)
I remember the episode where Chris asks his parents "what about the time Meg murdered my other sister?". And both Peter and Lois are in complete denial about it.
I've seen some of the darkest moments on this list. I have not seen the other moments when Brian gave Stewie an STI, Michael J. Fox ruining Peter's shirt, aggressive cancer, Peter driving through the Boston marathon, Peter revealing Anne Frank, Peter defending Chris, Peter blowing up a hospital🏥, Stewie getting revenge on Olivia and Victor, and Quagmire's behavior toward the Simpsons. The fact that the last one was pulled out from Fox makes sense. What Peter and Stewie did in some episodes was uncalled for. Peter could've waited to eat chips. The look the Holocaust family gave Peter should've told him something. And you should never shake a baby.👶 I feel bad for the innocent people who got hurt in these episodes. I had no idea Mr. Herbert had a thing for them or that Brian wanted to do something to himself. Also, I got a little scared when the pez dispenser was shot in another video I watched.
I had a stroke at 38, i have mental illnesses and i have other issues which are commented on, and i ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CARE. Its humor, its funny. People need to chill tf out
It is pretty tasteless, but even Michael J Fox said he thought it was funny. So they got lucky there with that joke. A lot of other jokes the show makes haven't gone nearly as well.
To me, one of the darkest moment is in a episode where they 'parody' rock n roll biopics and Peter playing Jim Morrison comes across Charles Manson and just out of nowhere tells him to kill Sharon Tate. It officially made it one of the worst episodes for me and even saying that, the jokes in it and meta humour didn't land at all.
To be honest, I fully expected the "Terry Schiavo is kind of alive-o" musical number to make this list. Having preschoolers perform a musical about pulling the plug on someone in a vegetative state is pretty dark…
I've lost family to cancer and I almost lost my dad to a stroke, but I still laugh at the jokes related to those sorts of incidents. Yes, they're tasteless and brutal, but they're still hilarious (when done well, of course). The wonders of being able to separate fact from fiction. Knock on wood that it doesn't happen, but if I ever develop these sorts of things myself, you can bet your rear I'll still laugh at the jokes. Screw Herbert though. Funny voice, creepy bastard. I'd miss that goofy tone of his since the actor behind Herbert is absolutely talented, but the character needs to be offed like Mort's wife was.
What about from the episode "And Then There Were Fewer" when it is revealed that Diane Simmons is the real killer and she murdered Stephanie, James Woods, Priscilla, Muriel, and Derek in cold blood?

How can you tell if someone is an "abuse survivor"? Don't worry, they'll let you know.
Yeah that was heavy.
Luckily in cartoons the bad guy gets what he deserved
@@Ted_Sheckler how can you tell if someone is an "insufferable douchebag"?

@Something Clever Jesus dude...she already sUrViVeD an abuse. No need to call her names as well. Have some decorum, please.
Truthfully, as a stroke survivor I actually find McStroke as one of the best episodes, especially with how exaggerated the droopiness of the paralyzed side is.
Agreed. I had a stroke 6+ years ago and still have issues but I found it relatable and funny.
“Quagmire’s behavior towards the Simpsons.”
That scene was shockingly dark.
I know it’s a cartoon for those who are 14 years and over, but thank goodness for the creators who literally bring these characters back.
Ah yes.
That's one of the darkest moments I haven't seen. The fact that it was pulled from Fox makes sense.
All I can say is that I'm hoping Maggie was the one who shot Quagmire at the end.
@@lukerosales5879Knowing the Simpsons’ canon, it’s 100% certified that Maggie was the one shooting at the end

I don’t know, I feel like Stewie watching his therapist die should’ve been higher on the list.

Nothing wrong with some dark humor! Especially how tactful it's done haha
Not many shows have good dark humor these days. 😅
Honestly, some of these choices are from some of my favorite episodes. They're also some of my favorite jokes/scenes.
One thing that always bugged me about Quagmire... it's fine for him to objectify women, regardless of their situations. Until its his sister.
