This whole album is a modern music masterpiece. It's Silverchair's St Peppers. It perplexes me how this album is still a mystery in the US market. It's the sort of album that never ages, it just gets better over time.

Silverchair will make a comeback, I recently got back in to Grunge. Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, L7, even the Nickleback of Grunge... Puddle of Mudd XD. Of course Silverchair is on that list and I am ADDICTED!!! They outlasted even Alice in Chains who in my opinion eclipse Pearl Jam as the best Grunge group in the genre XD

Diorama is perfection. Even though Neon Ballroom is my favorite album, Diorama is way more complex and musically sophisticated. Even now it feels unique and way ahead of its time.
Freak show is by far my favourite record by them. It’s amazing. Then Frogstomp, then Neon Ballroom, this then young modern is plain terrible.

I first didn’t like Young Modern and that’s because it took 3 or more listenings before i got it. Straight Line and The Man That Knew.. are some of my favorites. I think Diorama is their best album though.

I'm so happy and fortunate enough to be alive and aware when Silverchair released this song and this album. Such a fond memory to have as a 12-year-old at the time. 20 years on, Silverchair still makes my nights.

I don't know why more people don't love Silverchair. They are better than a lot of super popular bands. I always thought they were better than most bands back in the 90's.

I've never wanted to thank someone so much for creating music that saved my life......I sit here years later. ..listening and sobbing just remembering what Daniel Johns...his struggles...and silverchairs music from frogstomp in grade 6 to 23 years later still feeling it pull at my heart. Daniel If u ever read this stuff just know I'm sitting here still alive because of you. thank you from the bottom of my heart. words just don't seem to say enough for what you guys unknowingly did for my life. thank you thank you. much love and respect forever. xox

Silverchair are from my area, and back when I was a little kid my pop worked as a delivery driver, and one of his best stories is one where he was delivering a guitar to Daniel Johns' house in Newcastle, and Daniel refused to sign for it because he's famous n shit. So my pop just like "mate, I couldn't care less about who you are, you either sign for this or you don't get it", and Daniel ended up signing for it.
After all these years pop still doesn't like him.

Lol, you can believe it's a made up story all you like, but its true. He refused to sign because he didn't want his signature misused or sold. This was the early 00s, around Diorama's release, he had a lot of drug and mental health problems around that time, which, you know, can make people irrational and paranoid.

2022 and I’m still a massive Silverchair fan I was only 9 when this song come out
I had just graduated from college when their first album, “Frogstomp” was released. I was so impressed by these young men who were literal musical geniuses! I was 28 when “Diorama” was released, and I played this album on repeat for months! I still listen to it a lot, and it seems to get better each time I listen to it!
I was 12 when this was released, had the single on CD at the time, but unfortunately it got lost over the years. It's so weird listening to this for the first time in over 20 years. Still sounds as fresh as the day it was released. Brings back loads of memories from the early 00s and my youth. Things were so different back then.
I'm watching this in 2016 and it's still one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard! And the live is greater!

I never heard of Silverchair or Daniel Johns until very recently as a member of duo DREAMZ His new collaboration with Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun. Love their new release of “No One Defeats Us” and the video is terrific.

After my grandfather passed away in 2012, I played this song on repeat. Kind of sad, yes, but it was also comforting to me to know that wherever I go and whatever I do, he’s always watching over me. That and he loved golf, and this was in a Tiger Woods game. Had he been into video games, he would’ve enjoyed playing it.

I am still super into Daniel Johns but his early days were my favorite. Still my favorite band of all time. Got to see them in a tiny venue when I was in my early 20s and they are still my number 1 favorite band of all time. Even though here in America not many people know who the hell I'm talking about.

I'm 30 years old now and I clearly remember when I saw this videoclip for the first time when I was like 11...it was the first time I had heard anything from Silverchair... I remember just standing there in front of the TV, utterly mesmerised by the beauty of Daniel Johns, lol, I had NEVER seen a human being so beautiful like that, lol, and I could NOT believe the sound I was listening to was even real, the music seemed (and to this day seems) too beautiful to be true, it seems otherworldly to me. I ran like a crazy person across the house to write down the name of the band and the song in a little piece of paper, so I could download it and burn a CD later lol. Until this day Silverchair is my favourite band of all time. My heart was broken when they broke up. When they briefly came back together to record one more album I remembered running across my high school patio screaming like a maniac, so happy with the news. And when they decided to break up again I was in college, I remember I was sitting down on the floor waiting to take an exam when I read the news on my phone, and I was heartbroken all over again. I never got to go to one of their concerts. I wish they could reunite just once more and make a big tour...it would be a dream come true for me
