This is one of Daniel John’s best looks and best live performance of one of their best songs. He’s really trying here and it definitely paid off.
I think he always tries his heart out when he performs, it's just that his voice has seemingly struggled to keep up over the years, especially post-2004 with a lot of the high notes.

@@LukeHDGameralcohol and cigs seemed to have wrecked his voice over the years. His technique is still awesome but he doesn't really have a full range anymore like he used to.

I remember coming to Australia at age 16 back in 94 and silverchair was my fav band!! this album was the transition from boys to adults .. this is silverchair at its peak!!

At the time he was suffering of reactive arthritis. Daniel is convinced that it was caused by the anorexia. It could have also been getting Diorama rejected by their new American label. Dan has stated that he was struggling to move and was in pain during this show.

fucking flawless, amazing performance, thats the silverchair i loved growing up, There just not the same anymore.
I realise musicians must draw the line between what their fans want and there own artistic visions, and i respect DJ for being true to his inner fire. Cant say id listen to it though. I hope one day he makes 1 more record with the classic Silverchair sound.

20 years have past and it still rates high... the ARIA performance of this song is maybe his best performance ever... so sad that Daniel abandoned his fan base and pursued music that i can only describe as bizarre...
