    I drove the Escalade Diesel for about a month and loved it, even with diesel prices being a little higher in some areas, the savings mpg wise still makes total sense. The diesel is quiet, torquey and sensible. I’m going to order mine next month.

    GM did the same with the Chevy Cruze, equinox, and GMC Terrain. They didn't advertise them. Our local dealer didn't even know they existed until I told him about the diesel engine options on those cars.

    I have a 2023 escalade esv diesel, I get between 730 to 780 miles on a full tank here in Arizona, and it's been a while the diesel is actually cheaper here by almost a dollar, I just love it.

      Good to hear. Diesel was also the same or cheaper than regular (never mind 93) in Washington State when I lived there, and also very cheap where I live now (Japan). People go on and on about the high cost of diesel, but I honestly don't think they realize that in a lot of the country, that's not true at all.

    I truly enjoy the way you make this review videos. I just have one tiny suggestion.
    When you are talking about a feature can you point the camera towards it and put it in the video? Like, here in this video, when you talked about the 3rd row vents. The way you described it painted the perfect picture about the vents position. But with the footage and your voice description, it would be more helpful for a viewer.
    That's all. This is more of a knit picking. Keep up the good work man, cheers.

    In my opinion, people really don’t want a modern diesel because of highly complex emissions systems that like to fail. The emissions systems especially hate city traffic and like to clog up the DPF.

Recent GM quality in vehicles ive owned has been outstanding. There are fuel apps that let you find fuel almost as low as gasoline too. Thoroughly excellent vehicles.

    My late grandfather's last Cadillac was a (new at the time) diesel Cadillac Seville or a Deville. My grandmother told me that it was so bad that he got rid of it after a few months. He never bought another Cadillac again. I'd love to drive a diesel Seville/Deville and a new Escalade Diesel and just drive them.
    I'm currently on my second Cadillac (2019 Cadillac XT5 Luxury AWD; traded a 2014 Cadillac XTS Luxury AWD for it). I've gotten my Cadillac XT5 (which has a 3.6L V6) up to 43.2MPG during a roadtrip from NY to California. If i can get mine to that usually impossible number, I'm confident that the new Escalade Diesel can get 40-50MPG (if cruise control is set to at least 65-70MPH/104-112KPH and pretty much no hard braking most of the way, which is how I achieved the MPG figure for my Cadillac XT5).

    • @patriotgameplayer6020
      @patriotgameplayer6020 11 месяцев назад +8

      @bwofficial1776, the diesel is actually easier to produce from crude oil than petrol. The only reason it’s priced higher at gas stations here in the US, and a small part of Europe, is to discourage iits use in favor of petrol for environmental reasons.
      In Asia and in Europe, car buyers still prefer diesel engines even in their luxury vehicles. It actually beats even hybrids in fuel efficiency. And, as opposed to what most people claim here in the US, diesel engines from known brands are actually very reliable.

    • @chriscastor2206
      @chriscastor2206 9 месяцев назад +1

      Also to add it’s only environmental reason because we can see it how dirty it burn but over all pollutants are less than gasoline and diesel stores more nervy than gas

    • @kevinW826
      @kevinW826 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@chriscastor2206diesel prices here in Nova Scotia were as high as $2.40 a litre last year. In Ontario it was $2.60 at its highest. Currently it’s between $2.13 and $2.20 a litre. On a roughly 80 litre tank, that’s $172 Canadian to fill it up or all the way up to $200.
      That is how much I spend a month for my Mazda CX5. I’m not spending more than that on a vehicle for monthly gas.
