A new Airbus is born... What do you think off this?
JustPlanes I feel sad I want the old airplanes with not that many screens
JustPlanes I find it a bit weird airbus A220 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Horibble name change, C series sounded a lot better then A220.. A220 just sounds like a cheap Chinees knock-off of the real A320
Not really a new jet, it's a rebadged Bombardier. Love the glass cockpit, does it share components with a bigger A320?
A very promising plane no doubt. Upgraded avionics and fuselage. Was was very inappropriate on the part of Airbus to rebrand it. Bearing in mind they have not been able to upgrade the 320 family in 29 years. This was Bombardiers effort and should have stayed with them. Airbus is no doubt a marketing powerhouse but one lazy company when it comes to innovation. Was wondering why their policy of Maintaining Commonality in flight deck did not matter when they took over the C series. Dear oh Dear they have an all new cockpit after three decades how are they going to train the pilots now.
That cockpit is eye candy ! Beautifully thought-out, perfectly delivered.
so basically the Bombadier CS300 has been renamed or rebranded as Airbus A220..correct?
yes...
Yep
I was going to say that those new Airbus A220 look really similar to the C-Series... but nevermind lol
Omari Joseph Affirm, Sir.
Yea
Made it all the way to gear retraction before turning on the a/p. Nicely done..
It’s a pity how pilots aren’t allowed to enjoy themselves anymore
Lmbo
Sooo lazy
If you are a professional pilot you will know that it may be more prudent to have autopilot on and have more capacity to monitor a departure out of a busy terminal area. It's not always about excitement or fun, it's about staying alive / not having to be called into your chief pilot office for a coffee.
I'm just busting balls. He's flying so he can do whatever he wants, though I don't think your reasoning regarding the terminal area really applies here. I wouldn't worry too much about the chief since he's sitting right seat there, anyway.
This A220-300 looks very comfortable and obedient...Thanks a lot for sharing.
Forever the Bombardier C-series to me!
Like the C-series name better!
Toronto Aviation k
Hopefully not the end of bombardier. It's not looking good
I love how simple the overhead panel is, it probably cuts down on training by a boat load
V1 Rotate Positive rate gear up autopilot engaged CoPilot: „and what did you do in the weekend John?“
aviation for live Gotta wait for 10000 feet to do that. And that will be quite a while because its in busy London airspace
Seán Kirk I know.. usually you have to but he just turned on the Autopilot at 500 feet
@@aviationforlive7434 still it should be considered sterile cockpit so no talking :D
@ yes
@@whiplash7400 disagree - standard departures are better flown by the FMS - particularly in London because it's busy. There's no value added to flying it manually. Any course, altitude or speed correction can easily be done with the turn of a dial.
Looks like such an awesome new addition to the airbus family! I really look forward to seeing it in airlines worldwide in future times! AMAZING video as well guys!
AvLand it’s a copy of a newer cabin design for the Boeing 737 look at the over head panels and cabin layout. I don’t mean to stomp on your party but I’m an Airbus fan too. I actually would prefer and Airbus A320 over a Boeing 737 but after airbus copied Boeing in this one it’s got me pretty upset. 😰😰😰
No offence taken at all matey!! I actually agree with you plus the fact it’s a re-brand of the CS300 (which I just became aware of) 😥
xXVenomousSniperXx And XPlanePilotMaster Merge its a bombardier Cseries rebranded as the a220-100/300
I must be the only person who really likes the "A220" name, has a nice catch to it and gives the idea it is the A320's smaller sister. But the best part about it... is that "220" was the percentage Boeing wanted to put on the CSeries on that ridiculous ITC case they filled against Bombardier, and I'm certain this took a huge play when they were considering what to name the plane.
"Airbus" or "Bombardier" doesn't matters, what matters is that this great aircraft will grace our skies for many years to come.
You said it. I have no brand loyalty. I just want to survive my trip in relative comfort. This plane looks fantastic!
A220 is my personal favorite plane.
I like the while sound of the A220
What a beauty. Loved that little joystick, made the entire take off process look like so simple!
I'm an airbus captain with BA and I manually fly for the first and last 30 min of every flight and my first officer has to do the same. The autopilot is never used on flights of less than 1 hour 15 min. I firmly encourage other pilots to do the same, we are losing essential skills to automation and as a former military pilot I can honestly say we must be more hands on. In Airbus aircraft there is no loss in efficiency so it is not less economical to fly manually and it is much more fun. Please try it and fly safe.
@howaboutit11 But at least I am not losing the skill of flying, automation is making pilots lazy and less skilled we hear this too often. I have been flying for 30 years, first in the air force now with BA. Automation is useful but it is just a tool.
You are clrearly NOT a pilot, lol
A220 is a gorgeous plane.
In this range of airplane, it is the most well made ever. (Constructed in Quebec from A to Z) Fantastic engeneering! Embraer could return to sleep with Boeing.
I flied yesterday with A220 air Canada from Toronto to Edmonton it was my fly with this plane and I ‘ve loved it
Hey, this is not A220, this is a Cessna B225SPneo MAX 5 released on 1901.
I wish they didn't change the name C-Series sounds ok
Sad to see the name change. I hope everyone remembers this has the heart of Canada in its bones and we are very proud of our creation.
I'd love to fly this aircraft one day... hopefully soon
Nice cockpit
Very clean and smooth cockpit
Oh,boy! What a thrill to be at the controls of this wonderful plane!
20sec into the flight. Autopilot engaged.
Technically, the autopilot was engaged even sooner, on the runway at the very beginning, look at the AP & the throttle.
@@alphajet2145 No, autothrust was engaged on the runway, not the AP
so what? its london, one of the busiest airspace in the world. there is no space for errors, you have to strictly follow the SID and cleared level and speed. there is no time for handflying. you can fly manually in other places, but in london precision is always required. every airline or lets say every pilot flies with the autopilot around london because you are busy enough, dealing with procedures and atc.
@@djsunji You are absolutely right. There is a time and place for handflying, but it's generally not recommended in such busy airspace.
🥰👍🏼What A Absolutely Delight Cockpit That is. 🥰 The Simplicity Is Awesome Take off & Hit Auto Pilot . Was wondering what the bumpy sound on rollout of the take off. I am guessing that it’s the Bumpy Runway 🤔🤷♂️?
New golden rule
If things goes unexpected take action
Put your hand on the side stick man
Nice video
Looks very easy and smooth airplane to fly
Awesome aircraft, I can't wait to have them here in Vanuatu next year
Just keep saying CS300 please it's just sound more beautiful... It's not easy to say "two" after the "A" of Airbus just used to say "A-three..." not "A-two..."
How Cool & Easy Is That To Watch You Just Puh A Auto Pilot Butttton & The Plane Flies It's Self.
Thats cool!!! Almost like a real airplane!
Ever since Airbus renamed the Cseries to A220 it has become so famous now. 😂
Andrew Anane I agree!! There's so much interest in the aircraft now.
beautiful flight deck
Amazing state of the art aircraft!
a220 best plane ever
Maybe if it's the only plane you've ever seen before.
Nice............ Very Nice!
Fantastic. What fans are mounted on the wings? GE? Rolls Royce? P&W? Seems quite smooth and quiet
Fantastic video!!
Not the standard Airbus cockpit though. However still in line with airbus design philosophy and golden rules
Fancy indeed 😎
This cockpit is very similar to the 787 dreamliner cockpit
The 787 does not have Airbus-style sidesticks.....
John Dean Hmm u dont say
its the Bombardier Cseries rebranded as the A220, the people who made the 787 cockpit design also madeghr Cseries cockpit
LOL the layout is close but not the same...the MFDs and systems are all made by rockwell collins which is why it looks similar.. but when you get into the nitty gritty of FMS and such its not even close.. the LRUs and synth vision are completely different.. the C-series has options to control CMS from the flight deck...while boing has no such accommodations..
B787 dreamliner dont' have a joystick like in my gaming computer LOL
Im not so fan of airbus but I like this plane very much!
Fantastic new Jet but can someone please confirm was this Jet designed by former Lear Jet engineers working for Bombardier?.
wow, Just Amazing
I like the Cs300 ..now Airbus 220👍😉
Are pilots not allowed to fly manual after take off now.. Is it a mandatory requirement that the autopilot has to be engaged at like 500ft ? ...
The pilots need a grabrail or a fidget switch to keep their hands busy while the autopilot is on 😂
Bryan Richard rubik's cubes are cheap and light.
20 sec into the flight, now time to take a break...Huh, until we land.
At the end of the day it's the same plane and this is really gonna help it with sales(JetBlue just ordered 60!)
All the people saying "now I have to hate it" are really working on my nerves.
Jonathan Beaumont I don't hate it but I do hate the fact that Airbus is pretending they have the skill to design a great aircraft like this.
Thomas Bonnes Renaming saved this great plane......
Had Airbus not stepped in, Trump would have put a 25% tariff on the Canadian made plane and the Delta order of 75 planes would have been cancelled. Along with that, the JetBlue order of 60 planes never would have happened. Now the A220 is going to be made in Alabama and the 25% tariff will not apply.
"Airbus is pretending they have the skill to design a great aircraft like this"
Tighten the strap on your helmet slow boy.
@@jimjacobs1789 Yup. Despite the oligarchs at Boeing crying, Americans get jobs because of this plane. Thank you Quebec, Canada, France, Bombardier and Airbus!
The production of the CSeries ended nearly in a disaster for Bombardier. The new planes were really tough nuts to crack. Bombardier has produced amazing aircraft and also very fine trains. Somehow it is sad that the CSeries are now renamed Airbus A220. But Airbus owns 50,01 % and the consequences are logical. Such is life!
Looks like a very light aircraft...
1:07 is the best part
this is not an airbus. I find it weird to call it that if the cockpit, avionics, everything is NOT from airbus. An A380 pilot should be able to fly it without briefing instantly, if he can't, it's not an airbus
Bonito avión y moderno
Great video!
Awesome!
it seems like i better enjoy hand flying right now in flight training because i won't get much of that once i make it to the airlines
Love the new name! Love the video!
Dude not gonna lie I tripped out when he let go of the controls there
I'm imagining the pilot shifting which comes from the movie Airplane. Surely you can't be serious?! Now when he engaged the autopilot, where is Otto?
LOVE the airbus.... that's why I only fly JETBLUE
i wonder if Airbus actually worked with bombardier to modify the interior cause it looks like there used to be a yolk control originally
sadman hoque No, the Cseries didn't have a yoke.
Big difference with this Bombardier model - full vector autopilot.
No no nope ! "Piloting the Cseries out of London" much better!
Noah Gianfranceschi its not the c-series anymore
Nice video
But it’s just a Bombardier CS300
What do you mean ”Just”?
What's the thumping noise on takeoff? Is that form the seams on the runway?
I'm surprised he goes to AP so quickly after lift off. Is this normal?
When the plane is taking off, is the pilot at the mercy of air traffic to make sure that there's no other plane in the way? If another plane flew nearby does it show up on that radar screen in the cockpit?
are the loud thuds the nose wheel hitting the runway centerline lights?
Damn is airbus/bombardier gonna put a start/stop button next time
*Autopilot*: "Dear human pilots, welcome to my cockpit. Please sit down and _do not touch anything_" 😋
I think I found a new favorite small twin engine airplane
🔥🔥🔥
Coming soon A110
Why would you turn the autopilot on so early?Im a pilot to fly planes no press a button.
Lmao! AP. Sit with hands in lap and have a spot of Tea. Lmao!!!
Am flipping out.. Is it full auto steer?? Or the small gear Is the stick? 😅😅
The registration is YL-CSB not LY
Control interface looks waaaaay better than Embraer's...
wrong title, but nice looking Bombardier C300 tho
You could say it's a new aircraft...sort of.
I see boing all in this cockpit! What that about Airbus?!
You going home?
Nice wide screens, enough space for annoying fingerprints 😁. Nice machine, welcome the the Airbus family.
I think that it's great but they shouldn't have changed the name.
Tell that to 99% of the women who get married.....!! This is a marriage that will benefit a small aircraft company to have the security of an excellent and innovative major player in the aircraft business..... Rock on airbus..!!
I see he engaged autopilot, so there where is Otto? You know the inflatable autopilot from the movie Airplane? lol
Crj's are way more fun to fly!
P.M: Positive rate: P.F: Ldg up, speed mode
P.M: 400 ft: P.F: Hdg or Nav mode
P.M: 600 ft; P.F: A/p on. P.M:A/P engaged
P.M: 1000 ft: acceleration altitude: P.F: Speed bug 200
P.M: V2+12: P.F: flaps up
P.F: Climb Thrust, climb check.
The comfort even in economy class is not bad, the noise is not much different from boeings, landings and takeoffs are rougher than boeings (especially landings) normal flight is not very stable, pressure is annoying as in any plane.
CSeries for me.
Nice!!! Fly by wire?
+Jason Shipley Pretty sure is!
Jason Shipley All modern jets are. 737 is cable operated still (with servo assistance?)
Yup..
Fly by wire? I hope it uses a better / newer control system than the previous Airbus models. Definitely responsible for many crashes and deaths.
Completely different system than airbus.
JustPlanes made a mistake; This ex-CS300 in now name A220-300.
keep your hand on the stick :))
A220? Where did that come from? Have i been in a coma?
(Edited). Okay after reading comments below, this is basically a bombardier plane just renamed. Okay... I am not completely out of the loop then. No new major model.
vasily202 😂
Bombardier C-Series renamed
Bombardier CS300*
So basically this is just cs300 re-brand?
The A220 is the CS-300 converted into an Airbus plane
IF Flyer By converted you mean bought and slapped with a few stickers here and there. Right?
U play if?
Udumfucc Well, without Airbus owning 50 percent of the C-Series Program and putting effort into reviving the A220 (formaly CS-100/CS-300) it wouldn't exist anymore.
Why do I recognize the pilot at the beginning who is in the cockpit?
Take off and flick on the auto pilot, that was it?
was the bombardier an airbus creation ??
Robert Jalu it was not a Robert however recently Airbus took it under their wings and renamed it A220 just like Boeing is working on a similar deal with Embraer Not sure if that one will work out
Do pilots watch movies on these monitors or disney cartoons?
Do they tell pilots that it is a a320, because it is so new?
I don't like it unfamiliar EIFS. Looks like home simulator!
