Practically very difficult long range. And it causes more pollution than ICE. Make those Li ion battery and disposing them causes more pollution that ICE

@@SMILECLINIC-2004 don't talk about things you don't know. There is enough research that shows, while building ev takes more emissions. When you use it, it reduces emissions overall. Also, extraction of oil and gas is more unsustainable than lithium extraction as most of lithium battery components can be re used and recycled.

Hello Team, seems you're promoting tata ev's, Please give the reality to the customers / subscribers / viewers.
1. The seat capacity is 4+1: so you can use 5 person while testing.
2. Drive as usual speed, means 90-110 km /h based on the road and traffic condition, no one will drive as two wheeler speed.
3. Use AC while entire testing,
4. Use ECO mode in city, and advance mode in High ways.
5. Testing start time and end time.
Please follow the above points while testing the real range of EV's, so it's is very useful..

Guys pls simulate like ice engines. 80 to 90 kmph with AC 25 auto and do not choose hilly routes for testing . This will provide insight to us how well its performing in normal conditions.

My question, over the time, range will decline based on battery efficiency , like mobile battery. Say life of battery like 4 or 5years, we cannot expect same range over these years, correct?
These batteries will reach 80% capacity and hold it for a long time but the whole pack will fail before capacity reduces anymore. 8 years le battery price will reduce and petrol price will be increase along with increase in ICE car price. Charging network irundha already EV better dhaan.

We forgot to put AC at 24 or 25, which is pretty normal. It reduces the range further. If charging infra is improved it’s totally viable, go do a DC charge in 30 minutes and get 150 km range

Although we have to go to EV, they don’t provide value for money yet. Battery needs to get cheaper. My puny 1.3 returns 25 kpl or more at the same speeds with a full load. According to calculations you need to drive 1 lakh kilometers to get back 5 lakhs in terms of fuel cost. Basically 8 lakh in fuel cost at 1.6 lakh kilometres. And battery replacement costs just as much as you save. So waiting until battery tech improves giving us better value for money

At this price point driving at 60 to 70Km/hr speed to get decent mileage in not fair so EV is better for city roads and DIesel or pertol is best for highways as of now.

For me , the critical points are
1 Ev should do 90-110 in higjways and be efficient, if not possible atleast the size of the battery should increase and price should come down
2 increase the battery warranty for more than 8 years , 8 years is too short for a long term user ,
3 there is a requirement for limited number of dc charging cycle in a day , that infuence a battery life that requirement should come down , or tech should change
4 with the current setup ev is not for highway users or long distance planners.
I would say its hybrid first and then evs , its a ever changing tech so right now its not for a first time car buyer or a long distance user
Yes hybrids should be promoted rather than evs especially for country like india. Driving at slow speed with no or less AC is not real world range.

Warranty of phone batteries is 6 months or 1 year only. It does not mean you have to throw away your phone after 1 year. You can easily use more time than that. Similarly, 8 year is only battery warranty not expected life. Company will not give full life warranty because they will lose money.
@@Raviarun a phone battery for a OnePlus costs 1600 - 2500 bucks , i won't compare a phone battery with a nexons 8 lakh battery replacement cost , the problem is EV is being pushed without considering its economic viability issue in the long run. If you wanna reduce pollution reducing it by hybrids and then smoother transition to EVs

As of today's condition what is the battery cost? Out of 100 how many percentage autotrend tamil suggest EV car as a best choice?
EV cars as of now are best used as secondary or city use cars. The infrastructure is still improving and not perfect yet. Also we feel EVs are not the future as they are more polluting in manufacturing than any IC engine vehicle's fumes.

drive at 50 - 60 kmph and still only achieve only 390 kms? That's too much compromise..
Its not even practical with range anxiety.
For a relaxed driving, i would need to cruise at 120kmph with good power at the reserve for overtakes. And get 500km range is what makes it more practical.
If i drive the same way in a diesel car, i would even get 35kmpl which would make EV not economical comaring to diesel.
Almost 7.30 hours to reach from Attibelle to Salem. 😅😅😅...do we have so much patience???
Sir first you have to consider that we are also humans. We went to a hotel and hung out with friends before starting the return journey. I thought you will get that when the time switched from 1:30 to 4 o clock when we came out of hosur. So sad.
Punch Long range with AC (22 to 24) in highway (50 to 80km speed) may give upto 250 to 275km.
Nexon with same factors may give 280 to 300km.

This test is to show the maximum achievable range. Not to make the car stop on the road without charge.
Bro if you maintain in 50 to 60km speed range will surely maintain. But it would have been better if you maintained atleast avg speed of 90km speed. It would have helped many ev buyers and they will know the real range..
You have a couple of ev chargers from salem to attibele highway and you will not end up without charging points.
@@Ak.Livsnjutare they are just giving reason. They can easily charge on the mid ways. As this is promotional they dont want to drive at high speeds. And if they do drive at 80 then it range will be 200+ and they cannot post such info.

@siddharthr4704 ya bro.. it may be a promotional video. In the Tata track test, they may test in 40 to 50km speed, without ac, and able to achieve 461 claimed range. But we all want real-life range.

Sir the plan is to get from Salem to KA border and back to Salem . If we drive at 100, what will we do if the car stops? It's our risk only. Moreover we have proved that the car can do such long trips at medium speeds.

But to be true your video made to change my mind from buying an ev .. just because if I have to travel long distance then I should compromise my speed , time and ac . Instead you could have shown if we even go at 100kms/hr using 20 degree ac , there are this many Charing points and it could charge the car how faster and we could reach the destination sooner ...
