  • Today's video is a copic marker skin tones tutorial. I look at how to color different skin tone combinations using copics. I'm coloring 4 skin tones, from light to dark using 10 marker. I've picked 10 copic skin colors that I personally use and would recommend for coloring skin, faces etc and so if you're looking for some skin tone markers hopefully this video may help you pick some.
    I run through the 10 different copic skin colors at: 0.45
    And the coloring potion of the video starts at: 5.16
    I hope you all enjoy this video:) Feel free to ask any questions below and remember to subscribe if you'd like to see more.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’m just starting with Copics and had no idea how to color skin. But now that I have my own coloring channel, I want to expand my horizons. Lol.

    For the second face, when you said you did 3 layers, did you let the markers dry between each layer? Also, did you go over every area with each layer? Also, if you do go over each layer with each correspondent color, did you put more of the lighter color in the dark areas? Thank you again!

    I have a question...I have off brand markers and was wondering if these techniques would work with them...I'm new to using markers in my art,so I didn't want to start buying Copics until I was a little more proficient...I really enjoy your videos,they are helping me "get back into the groove" of art and drawing :)

    • @WindyIris
      @WindyIris  6 лет назад

      The techniques will work for any alcohol based marker - you might find that other brands have different nibs and so might not blend as well but you can certainly follow the tutorial with whatever you have at home.) Thanks for watching - I'm glad you're enjoying my videos:)

    Holy SHIZZNAT! I'm looking at 72 piece sets on Amazon and they're between $300-350.
    Am I being too extra? I love having the variety and full range of colors so that's why I'm checking out the larger variety. But is it really necessary to have it all?

    • @WindyIris
      @WindyIris  5 лет назад +1

      No it's not necessary and that's why I chose a small collection of markers for the tutorial:) Though I do like to have lots of colours as well.
