- I show you how to preform a factory reset (hard reset) without the remote, we will use the buttons on the Sony Smart TV (Android TV version). This should work on most Sony Android TVs.

Same here, has a green light led after resetting it with the buttons. Did it work? Did you just leave the green light until your tv turns on?

I waited until the green light flashed at the bottom and it reset. It took a little longer than it did in the video. Finally got to the reset menu around 5 minutes. Be patient. Thank you
I am currently having the same problem. After the lights go green, it simply goes back into the boot loop. How do I get round this? Do I simply hold the buttons until it shows reset or do I let go when the green lights come on under the Sony logo?

Pressing power + volume down buttons simultaneously and then supplying power to my Sony android TV really made it reset. Thanks a lot buddy. This is a great video. I don't need a factory re-set - was just searching for how to install an update when a popup message says "hold home button" to start the update, but I don't have a HOME button on the Sony Bravia remote or on the tv, I watched this video in case I ever need a re-set.

Thanks this factory reset worked! I was getting a google remote pairing message with my Sony Bravia TV, but I don't have a google remote. The last software update might have corrupted the operating software on the TV. Nonetheless, your factory reset restored the TV back to normal.

Unfortunately, it did not work. I just keep getting the blinking red light 6 times pause then it repeats. I don't understand, I got it to play Netflix for a bit, but I could not get to the home screen to do the factory reset. Now I can't get anything other than the red blinking light. I guess a new TV is the only fix. I am so bummed out. Thank you. I am glad it worked for others.

Thanks champion! Worked on my old 2017 65X9300e Powered up holding the two buttons and got the green light in about 5 seconds. then it fully reset as if it were new :)

I’m about to throw mine away. The home button stopped working. I bought a new remote and that didn’t help. I went thru this procedure and it never went to the erase screen
Make sure you do this right and give it another try , it took me 2 tries to get the glowing ring then I thought it froze when I did. I shut it off and it would just go to that ring and I thought I had made it worse . Then I left it alone and it finally went to factory reset. After that i did the update and it works better than before . Besides source issues I was having it load into store display mode every time I power on and would have to unplug /replug. This fixed both issues.

So that point at which you ended is where I’m starting.. I want to change the input without a remote, but when I hit the power button to change function and am on input, - and + just make the options go away, but they work for volume tho. HDMI 1 has my ps4 connected and just wanna get on that input. If you’re able to, I’d appreciate if you could to shed any light on my issue or know something I’m maybe doing wrong

Then in probably 20-25 sec the image stands still and i can't do anything... the sound goes but i cant do nothing with remote, please give me some tip.. what i have to do with it❤❤

Sadly this didn't work for me.
My Bravia restarts automatically on starting.
Factory reset is not happening. Even upon pressing home, volume down buttons simultaneously and plugging in doesn't reset the TV but it goes into the restart loop as always.
Any solution for me?
