I started watching when I saw this in my feed but I thought, 'I'm not subscribed to this - what is this?' but then you mentioned the name change. Haven't seen a video from you for quite a while so I was pretty confused. All good, though - another successful repair.

I got the MOSFETs from a spare board I have. Not sure if the cod3r sells them on his site, consolefix.shop otherwise you could get some from AliExpress but will take a week to arrive.

All those mosfets have around the same continuity. Is there anything else I could check? Console is doing the exact same thing on then off.
      Kind regards.

You need to check all the power rails are coming up. Some only come up when you try to power on as the Southbridge controls some power rails. Search Google for test points and you will find an image with all the points. Some power on and off can be anything and impossible to diagnose.

I have one with the same symptoms but mosfets seem OK. It was working and I knocked it over and it now turns on and instant off. I'm thinking maybe solder balls knocked loose on ram or even worse APU or southbridge. Could be wrong, may just be something simple but haven't looked at it for a while.

It could be a cracked solder ball problem. You would need to check that all the voltage rails are present. I've had the same conditions before when I was missing the 3.3v rail .

@RetroElectronicRepair would checking diode readings reveal which chip has cracked solder joints and would reflow sort it? Thanks for the reply, not many youtubers respond.

@sparky150875 no, it is really hard to diagnose the on off symptoms. I'd just check all voltages are present first and then maybe reflow the southbridge.

Its been too long! If you like your neighbors then grats on them with the baby, if not then . I don't sub to that many channels in general and only one tech/fix channel so I knew instantly it was you and was just happy to see a new upload. The name it self isn't a big thing for me either way other than this might mean no more gardening or water hole and such which is too bad, I like those.

Thanks for keeping subbed to me. It's been too long and hopefully will get into the rhythm of uploading some more videos.

New name is good. Just having worked in electronics design and repair for too many years, an xbox one is hmm not that retro.

Thanks, yes you are correct that an Xbox one is not retro but it's hard to get a good name that hasn't been used. I do try and get older electronics but sometimes a good deal pops up that you just can't pass on 👍
