I have a 722 and check the plastic gears. All are fine. I cleaned up everything and the laser and still either get BLANK DISK or UTOC error.

Great video, but what was the actual fix? Was it when you manually moved the laser sled?...Possibly breaking it loose from many years of non-use. Watched to end and you answered and agree not usually a dirty laser and you did clean and retest with same faiulure Please advise, purchase same similar model and MD unit/transport looks the same with C-13 and C-14 errors. Q: What contact cleaner are you using? Looks like a WD-40 spray can, but color is black. Thank you for your video and enjoy MD's. CD sound with recording as easy as cassette. Nostalgia!

I have exact the same model which was given to me to fix,this was coming up with U61 error code,and also “please wait” I did get it working briefly,but would “shut down” and display “U61” got a capacitor repair kit from “ex Panasonic engineer “ replaced all 9 problematic caps on the PWR supply board. Worked for a short time”no audio” through HDMI,but was present through RCA at back into amp. It then “shut down” completely “dead” me and a engineer have been troubleshooting the PWR supply board more. If you have any suggestions please message me👍👍

i have a Panasonic NV- HD680. mechanical very good ,but cassette run high speed all the time. no signal. what to look for ? no reaction on stop, rewind or anything else.can it reset or someting ? we have PAL system south africa.

Hi, my remote light (orange) once as I plug the cable for charging then no more light (blink) follow, I change the cable and try with the same cable in my other controler (works fine) does it means my other remote is broken? TIA

do you have a list of capacitors required on the psu side? my unit powers up but i can see already some bulging caps so its prob about to fail. ALSO if it helps you, i found cleaning the laser lens helped. Also if it helps others, i found that certain dvd blanks work better than others , at least on my unit. DVD -R WOULD NOT WORK BUT DVD +R WORKED, ended up using HP dvd +r discs. this could e due to low power to the dvd unit and perhaps power is on treshold, i dont know but so far my unit is copying ok on the HP dvd discs. if i try unbranded or tdk discs it wont read them OR they show as LOCKED/DISC PROTECTION ON. I think this is either power issue or the unit prefers UNFORMATTED discs. It seems that some discs come as unformatted from new, and for me the unit preferred unformatted discs, when you insert the unit will ask you to format disc within the machine, after that was done it was able to record from vhs/av3 to dvd normally. As said it could be the low power is affecting the power of the laser OR it just wants a particular brand of dvd disc. Let me know your thoughts anyone had same issue?

These Berhringers are a pain in the arse. It's not even worth substituting the PSU for something else because it has 7 different outputs, and the mixing desks are worthless anyway!

Great video, gave you a like and I thought your easy fix would work for my problem. Followed every step with no luck at the end. My problem seems to be as soon as I attempt to power on my Toshiba D-VR7 the power button turns on for a few seconds then immediately shuts off. The last time I used it I had no issues but now it just doesn't want to stay powered on. Hopefully I can get it fixed down the road with someone that knows what their doing better then me. It was a good little combo player and really never over used.

If the VHS was recored with tracking a bit off it wont be correctable. Need a test tape.

I cannot get the balance control to have equal sound. I have to turn the balance control almost FULLY to the right to get equal sound from both speakers. Anyone got any clues ?

The reason it wasn't booting was due to the "Jumper pack" not being connected. The N64 won't boot without a Jumper Pack/RAM Pack. I wasn't even aware an N64 RGB mod was possible on PAL N64 as it didn't have the correct video chip, but looks like this bypasses the video DAC chip. You could temp solder a standard RGB scart cable to the output pins for testing (RGB/Sync).

The power supply on my Gunai WD6D-M100 makes the same noises as yours, but on the D1150 there is no diode on the board, but a wire. where can I look for the error? Thanks

This was a great video for fixing no power to tascam mf-p01. When I plug ac adapter in the power won't stay on. Think plug needs replacing. Do you know where I can possibly find a replacement that can be soldered to circuit board? Thank you for any help

Had the same issue with my 700 the caps blew it's guts all over the small primary / secondary board, I had voltage going into the primary board but coming out on the secondary was some voltages but not correct, mine had been in storage for several years though put away working I got it out last week and nothing completely dead, on mine the little board was totaled many traces none existent I had to rebuild it, put new nichicon 105c caps in put it all back together and still nothing but had the correct voltages out now the primary side was working but was loosing the 6v rail in the secondary so went voltage checking again and had one of the N25 fuse links gone at PS123 replaced that and she came to life, been working like a trooper.

Any ideas what the flexi cable make number is? I need to replace mine as the metal pins is flaking off it! I think its a 30 pin 60mm x 15.5mm.I can make out some numbers if it helps: "850...", "E3...", "VW-I H" "60v 105°C". Edit: I scraped off the foam covering and the marking are E307850 20706 in case anyone wants to know.
