      Yeah, I did this 4 years ago and have since completed many of them perfecting it every time completed. This video was from my first prototype build. Completed with various cases. It's honestly not difficult as long as you spend sometime researching the parts required. ruclips.net/video/J4OJI_xOKEc/видео.html

    I made something like this over 20 years ago, because I found an Agfa Overhead LCD, used for early days presenting by placing a bgrayscale LCD with VGA input on an overhead projector, in an industrial dumpster. I was way cruder than your solution - but it was the coolest thing on every LAN party back then. I love how good and easy it got from there.

    Did this with the same Monitor Model and it worked just fine.
    One Problem i faced was that the Display wasn't turned on when i connected it first via Molex.
    After i connected the buttons to the controller and pressed the power button once it worked just fine.
    Thanks for the tutorial and the monitor recommendation man.

    • @AL-Tech
      @AL-Tech  Год назад +4

      Happy to hear that 😃. Regarding the buttons, I think once you turn on the monitor the first time, you won't need them anymore. Because when you cut off the power from the monitor ""PC is off; no more power"" then once you turn on the PC the monitor will come back to the last status it was on.

    Very good tutorial. I watched it after already completing my build and I have nothing to add to this, other than maybe you should explain a bit better how to work out which wires you need to apply 5V to. Also, I didn't think of painting the controller board white, I might do that as well

    • @AL-Tech
      @AL-Tech  6 дней назад

      You can but you need a display controller for that laptop display. They are available online. But most laptop displays are 16:9 and 15 inch. Most PC case glass planes require 19 inch and 4:3 size display

      I originally used double-sided tape, but I ended up breaking the ribbon cable on the screen and had to replace it. Removing the screen from the glass was a nightmare because of that tape. So on my next try, I used regular clear tape instead, and it's been holding up fine for over a year without any issues.
