Effective immediately (June 3, 2022), customers registering for their ATF eForm 4 as “Individual” can certify their eForm 4 applications remotely! Certifying and submitted remotely for Individuals is identical to the process for customers whom registered as a Trust or Corporation.
ATF is planning to update the online instructions soon, and have confirmed that the current ‘in-person’ instruction is being removed.
Silencer Shop is continually working to improve the eForms process and would be glad to answer any questions. Just give us a call or DM on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

So far, this has been an easy process. I feel that this is a well-organized process also. Ordered March, certified within a week, fingerprints taken at dealer with the Kiosk. Even a dummy like myself was able to figure this out. Hopefully a few more weeks and I will have my approval.

You guys are top notch...your dealers are another stories. I got the ready to certify from you, did not hear from the dealer. Called them today and they have no idea what to do. They said its a "ATF glitch" don't worry about it. "Nothing to do till the tax stamp comes in." You need to educate your dealers....they are a bunch of dumbasses, at least my shop is. I'm at a loss of what to do now. I don't want dealer inaction to delay me getting my stamp. Please advise.

I think Silencer Shop needs to educate their dealers a little better. I purchased my silencer, did the fingerprints, got the ap. etc.
The dealer looked at me like I just asked him to solve a multi-variable calculus problem. Perhaps a video for them might be the ticket. I walked out of the store with a “Sorry man, I don’t really know what to do.”
So yeah, i don’t have a whole lot of confidence in the process. I’m wondering if I need to try and get my 1300 bucks back. Lol.

    • @gotyobackbro5781

@@SilencerShop Thanks for the reply. I think the big problem lies in educating the dealers. Even though a lot of these guys behind the counter like to think they are rocket scientists, the really are not. There is a reason they are sitting behind a counter making 9 bucks an hour. (No that’s not the case with all, but is is the case with mine. )These guys need to get some sort of motivation to learn and get proficient with the software and process). Perhaps SS could offer a certification course with a class on the entire process. After they complete the course, and successfully process 5 or 10 forms, SShop certifies them and pro-forms them a free suppressor.
That would motivate these guys to jump in head first and learn the process. It might even motivate them to sell a few silencers. Their bosses aren’t going to give them a raise for learning it.
I digitally signed my paperwork yesterday and called my dealer to certify. The first guy I talked to on the phone said:” you better talk to John I ain’t smart enough to know that”. So they sent me to John and he said: “Hey man can you call me back in 3 or 4 days. I gotta figure this out. “
I realize getting a silencer is not for the impatient. But there has got to be a better way to educate these guys.

This is just not what I thought it would be and how it would work out. Only good thing is a few tax stamps just showed up. Cashed 10-15-21. Yep 3 months, done on paper, ready to pick up!!!

Hi Mr. Gadget, Appreciate you reaching out. Paper applications submitted prior to the relaunch (Dec 23, 2021) of ATF eForm 4 will continue with their original plan. ATF has said there will be a one-year delay for anyone that withdraws a paper application to file via eForms. Thank you for working with us.

    • @mr.gadgetfishing2134
      @mr.gadgetfishing2134 3 года назад

@@SilencerShop I don't think you understand my comment. I have waited for 60 days and you have yet to complete the form to send to ATF. My Paperwork started in November, and you held it and are doing it as an E form. It was clearly sent in before the Dec 23 date and you held it to do E form. It is now Jan 26 and the Eform is still not sent to ATF because you never let the small dealers get the Full Auto software in a timely manner and never let them know what needed to be done . My dealer just got the software this week and last check it is still not working for them. But as I said, One happy note, my cans, Form 4's paper that went in 10-15-2021 under the paper from 4 just got approved on 1-18-22, and stamps ready for pickup. So in short, Old system paper form 4 on several cans showed up in 3 months, new system 60 days and ATF still does not have my form 4 to start the wait.
Question: WHY should I need to wait 60 days or more for E form paperwork to be turned in to ATF using SS?
Also, ATF told me today, Current paper forms in the system will be completed before the E Forms. That said she also told me that if I turned in a E form today, it would likely be 7 to 10 months before they get to them. After the backlog gets cleared then the time frame will be the 90 day range.

Mine went in back in the end of Nov, Still no movement one tab said Current Stage: Form 4: Preparing for eFile, the other Ready to certify and the dealer has not been instructed what to do. Hard to believe that we are talking 90 day approvals when mine was put in 47 days ago. Yet you said you are already putting in Eforms. I guess it all has to do with the dealers, higher volume dealers get the software first. I really wonder when my dealers will get to put in E forms. Even my dealer has questioned this this new E Form sales pitch. They are saying it may take another 30 to 60 days to even get to do the E form. Would have been better to stick to paper. ATF told me Paper forms will be completed first that the E File will not jump in front of the paper forms put in for 2020 and 2021.....Said the 60-90 days will come into play at the end of 2022 to early 2023.

After the Silencer Shop Compliance Team checks your information (the Silencer Shop accuracy rate is 99.5% and industry average is 60%) the dealer also actions the application and then the Ready to Certify email will be sent to you.
