Live versions are an upgrade of an already great music. This KEXP live set sounds really good.

this drummer has an UNBELIEVABLE sense of timing! Brilliant.
+Kipp Macdonald Pretty great how many people comment on this. There is nothing particularly flashy or virtuosic about his playing but it is consistently flawless and sublimely tasteful. Also helps that his drums and cymbals sound perfect.
+Kipp Macdonald I agree, I do wonder If they play to a click/metronome, I was in a 2 piece electronic band for a short time and we did play to a click and my band mate would add In a 4 count before every break and 4 count when coming back In due to so many stops/breaks.
The drums sound amazing because he is playing with a backing track. This also makes timing a LOT easier. Even then, he's not always perfect. You can here him be slightly off time plenty 0:38, 1:23, its that backing track that is consistently on time lol. Theres a sampled drum backing track! You guys must be able to hear it!
his name is Rory O'Connor who has a project called Nitemoves. Released a couple tapes on Moodgadget and has a more recent self released album called Don't Ask!.
He is a magician
Very underrated band.
I think they're quite famous now..so not so underrated!!
It is 2022. Every single college student on planet earth studies to this band. They are now appropriately rated.

This bands is really awesome. Such good well thought out musicianship. Every piece fits together and compliments each other. I especially enjoy the drummer's skills....great 'time'.

This is so well performed and well mixed by the audio engineers. What an amazing session. Everything KEXP touches is gold. It's the level of John Peel for 70s and 80s post-punk.

Few years back this song and “a walk” played constantly at sea world San Antonio. Someone has good taste.
I found out about Tycho because I heard both Awake and A Walk at SeaWorld San Antonio. Whoever made the playlist chose some awesome songs. I recommend listening to One Million Miles Away by J. Ralph. It is a great song from the playlist.

this band is so good, and this is such a great album from start to finish. I only wish they could find a singer that matches their amazing melodies and atmosphere but it may take away from the layered textures slightly. If they could find a singer that matched they would be unstoppable. Love this track, esp. when taking a long drive at night.
I like them as instrumental. It makes them unique and there's no singer to overshadow the great musical talents.
