Rental for Muslims only is to protect the place's halal status. As you know the owner has provided pots and pans, plates, cutlery etc. So opening it to non-muslims will create problems coz we'll never know what the guests will be cooking. So Muslims staying there will have no doubt that the utensils are halal to use. Make sense right?
This is incorrect. Utensils can be washed to remove traces of non halal cooking . So the issue of ‘halal status ‘ is a moot point. While I can understand it’s the landlords right to choose who he lets to I think that to say it’s to protect the halal status is wrong. This is just plain discrimination and I’m saying this as a Muslim myself . If you were to rent a property and told no Muslims allowed how would you feel? The same goes for non Muslims who are also fellow human beings .

Would they tell the landlord if they spilled alcohol around the house or having sx n leave their bodily fluids all over the place. C'mon be real. 😅
It's haram and you know it, the lanlord is just taking precautionary measures and the rules are justified. Pretty sure they wont just rent it to anybody unless you came as a family.
If you're malaysian muslim you should already know this stuff.

I didn't mention being Malaysian, just Muslim. My previous comment was specifically about utensils, hence my response. As I said, it's the landlord's choice, and I was simply sharing my opinion. Not every non-Muslim would treat the property this way, just as not every Muslim would.
Of course but will you spend time doing 'sertu' to the whole kitchen each time a non Muslim uses the house? I will not, too much work. And if they bring a dog in without telling? You will be talking about the whole house ! . Don't know what you don't see? Some Muslims will mind and it caters for Muslims who do mind. Discrimination? Up to the owner, thier money thier house, thier strategy. If they feel the returns are better, who are we to say.
She has done a good job, very nice homestay.
A few years ago, I went to kota bharu kelantan with family. Rent a homestay for few days. Just opposite airport. Even just a typical single storey terrace , it has a swimming pool. It's even just cute, but it makes my kids really happy for it. So for those plan to kota bharu by flight, may try for it.. really recommended 👍

Every person can decide who they want must live in there property. In my country people specify families only or no singles only married couple certain age groups as well and this is for non muslim rentals so its not about muslim its about who people want in there homes . They dont want singles young as they have parties etc .

Very nice deco for a beautiful home. Shout to the owner…but there is but.
The Casuarina trees or Pokok Rhu we Malaysians call them are beautiful and regal when it grew tall. It gives a breezy feeling but the problem with them are their roots.
The roots go both ways…deep into the soil and also those choose to expose themselves. The rooting out gonna give you a serious problem when they grew big and tall.
It will damage the house foundation especially the floors and the walls. Like in this house…it will damage to pool but not immediately, maybe probably in 10-15 years time.
That is why Casuarinas trees are usually planted far away from the house, probably by the beach if you hv a sea frontal home.
I know it kills the fun with this info but…seek professional advise on this. We had to remove ours many years ago.

hi .that works out to MYR 180,000 - i could guess that sum could fetch a 1 or 2 room flat unit in town area, or if one search hard enough, a small country house in the outskirt villages.
And definitely not anywhere near the greater KL city area.
I think non muslim can stay if they can convince the owner there won't be bringing any alcohol or pork or dogs.
If there were pork and dogs, it's going to cost the owner more on cleaning the utensils and carpets (six times with water, and one with water mix with soil).
Some family pray together in the living room, so they have to keep it clean.
All being said, to make it short, just say for muslim only. 😅
My family own a homestay as well, and i love to explain to non muslim guests why we had to. Cleaning the carpets is not an easy feat and would take a week to dry.
You dont even reply to your whatsapp so stop advertising that you will give advice when clearly you dont...
