Cool book! It’s fun to be surprised, then delighted, by an unexpected combination.
One of my recent favorites - I bought an espresso flavored balsamic vinegar and it was thicker than usual, almost a sauce consistency. One of their serving suggestions was on vanilla ice cream. I thought, you must be joking! One day I got curious and tried it. I heated the vinegar slightly and drizzled over the ice cream. It was awesome!
Dill is something I like a lot. It’s great on fish, and I really like it on sliced cucumber and tomato. It’s wonderful on roasted potatoes.
I’ve had marmalade but the question occurred to me - what is it exactly? I found one of the defining characteristics is that it use the fruit juice and the peel, unlike jam. And it’s typically made with citrus fruit, though it doesn’t have to be. I’ve made something similar before - candied orange peel. I made it as an ingredient, to make spumoni, but it’s really great by itself too.

I've read that marmalade derives from Marmelo, Portuguese for Quince, as it was originally made using quinces! What is spumoni? I've not heard of that before!

@@welcome12ization You've probably looked it up by now but, spumoni is a layered gelato, usually with candied fruits and nuts. I first had it at an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles when I lived there. It was so awesome I'd often walk down and get some 'to go'. And further thought, why walk? How do you make this stuff?!

I never would have guessed marmalade and cheese going together! That's very cool. Pineapple juice and orange juice mixed together is a big thing where I live, so I've had that most of my life. It's really good! Lemon and dill sounds so good to me, because I really like both of those flavors. Coriander in blueberry muffins would be interesting, because isn't coriander more of like a pizza-type spice? I could be very wrong about that, haha. Raspberry and peach sounds so good, too! I've never heard of a Logan berry, but I'm sure I could find them somewhere here.

That's cool it's popular where you are - it's certainly something I'm itching to try!. Yes coriander is usually in pizzas etc so will be interesting to try it in its sweet incarnation!

I think coriander you would be hard pressed to find in pizza, it is more a curry herb, and basil is more for pizzas or Italian food
