This is my first video I ever recorded so yeah the exposure is way too high and there's a bounty of mistakes including its length. I still think it's a great video and that's why I'm going ahead and posting it.
Not many youtube channels do cookbook reviews! You should keep going! I'm so excited!!
Wow thank you so much! I absolutely will!
OMG I think I have an obsession with cookbooks I have 60. 😱. Also Ottolenghi's books are beautiful, I love him so much.
I know you recorded this 4 years ago, but I just saw this today. I really like your thoughts on food and comments on ea book. Thanks for making this video!
I think you’ve done a fantastic job of editing! It feels like hanging out with you. ❤️ I love your descriptions and was tickled when you went through the cookbooks Mamie and I and others have given you. You can give me Nopalito!
Haha okay! Deal 💛
I love cookbooks and have a huge collection. Some I’ve tried from the books you’ve had:
Jerusalem- Herb Pie
Plenty - Surprise tatin, Black pepper tofu, Crusted pumpkin wedges with sour cream, Very full tart, eggplant with buttermilk sauce, soba noodles with eggplant and mango, Mixed beans with many spices and lovage, Farro and roasted red pepper salad
Authentic Mexican - Chunky guacamole, Enchiladas de Coloradito, Custard ice cream with cinnamon and vanilla
If you’re looking for an excellent French cookbook, I recommend The Country Cooking of France.
This video was a lot of fun to watch! I really like how you edited it! You have a real gift for comedic timing as well! :D
Thanks Dan! I appreciate it, it was fun to edit.
what an excellent video! I remember searching for cookbook review compilations earlier this year and didn't find anything that captured the kind of reviews I enjoy. glad I searched again, I'm excited to watch your other videos and what you bring out in the future!
also I LOVE the time stamps, it will be easier to come back and refer to this video if I decide to buy any and I really appreciate the cover image and info edited into the shots! Even when you're showing the covers on the video, having the image is still very helpful, thank you!
Wow thank you so much for your comment! It warms my heart you enjoyed it so much! I love making cookbook review videos and plan on doing more in the future. Thanks again and let me know if you end up getting any of these!
Love your eclectic collection of cookbooks! I'd love the Indian cookbook, if it's not already promised. 💖
Sounds good Aunt Tarra! I'll set it aside for you!
I have all of Ottolenghi's cookbooks and they're my favorites. I find his recipes very straightforward and not hard at all
Really really great video. I put so many of these on my list of books to try. Thanks!
You gained a subscriber from a far away little island in the Indian Ocean...I didn't see these 30min pass. I am a passionate about books and cookbooks, always in search of new inspirations, and your presentation of each book reflected your passion and the spirit of each book! Great!
Thanks so much Sabrina! I'm glad they resonated with you! Cookbooks are truly works of art and science.
The vintage Cook book is wonderful
I knew you loved cookbooks, but 35 is incredible! ;) I’d be interested in Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers if you don’t already have someone lined up. :)
Since this video was recorded Brad pulled a veto and insisted we keep one of those but I can't remember which. I'll ask him and the other one is yours! They are great books. I found out as I was editing it that they are by Calgarian chefs!
Thank you so much for this 💙
You've just gained a subscriber! I adore cookbook videos and you made yours so easy and interesting to watch without ever coming across as pretentious which I swear seems to be a trend in most other cookbook reviews I've seen.
I'm currently working my way through the Nordic Cookbook by Magnus Nilsson. I highly recommend it if you have any interest in that region.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it, I feel like I could talk about cookbooks for days 😂 I haven't looked through the Nordic cookbook but I've placed an order for it from my local bookstore. Thank you for the recommendation!
I also love cookbook reviews videos. You also should check out Mary's test kitchen. She has a few amazing cookbook reviews up
Love! I subbed and I need more!
There's a bunch others on my channel!! Glad you liked it and welcome!
Me encantó!
Hmmm
I don’t get the hype with Ottolenghi. His books are well made and the photos are pretty, but none of the recipes really blow me away.
I would love the Nopalito book if you dont have someone for it. Been wanting to get my hands on it for a bit.
I'd love to but it has found a loving home! I think you can find it on amazon! 💛💛
Hey Lily, that was very informative. I am interested in what was popular in 1909. Can you post your favorite recipe?
Thanks dad that's a great idea! 💛💛
I legit thought that one stack was gonna fall over 👀
Lol me too, multiple times 😆
i will like to get "Vegan 100" by Gaz Oakley book as a gift...
A whole book on bitters? Interesting
