The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game's progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, 5 new biomes and new structures, a new class, a new leveling mechanic, more than 30 new songs, over 50 recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.

SPOILER (Calamity mod Revengeance Difficulty mode's actual Inspiration/Reference)
It is actually inspired from MGRR secret difficulty mode, the Revengeance mode.
To Unlock Revengeance mode, you need to beat the game on Hard difficulty, and then Very Hard difficulty, or you can do the following:
On the main title screen, enter the Konami code ( Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, O/B, X/A, Start ), then Revengeance mode will be made available as a difficulty setting.
A quick note that Konami code cannot be used on the keyboard

I think you missed the electrolyte gel pack, which makes adrenaline stronger. In mgrr there are electrolyte packs that fully restore your fuel cells

I think you missed one from Calamitas Clone. This quote from the wiki states: "The quote said by Calamitas "Impressive child, most impressive" is likely a reference to Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, who says the line "Impressive, Jack, most impressive"."

Yharim: Draedon's heart son they harden in response to physical trauma
It's still sad that Murasama got nerfed but at the same time, it's still good because we can still do a "perfectly balanced" damage to bosses which makes it feels like we're Raiden from MGRR.

If you name your character as: "Jetstream Sam" It allows you to use the Murasama even if you don't kill yharon yet.
same goes for naming your character "Samuel Rodrigues"
its just like in metal gear rising, as the murasama has an ID lock in sam's name as well and the lock disappears once you reach the final boss, similar to calamity where you can only use the murasama against the final boss(es)

There's one with Devourer of Gods where he would say "Don't get cocky, kid!", a line from Senator Armstrong when fighting Metal Gear Excelsus.

On the topic of the revengeance reference. It could be specifically referencing the "Revengeance" Difficulty mode in metal gear rising revengeance.
It's less known as it requires inputting the Konami code at the main menu screen with Raiden. I'm not sure about unlocking it after beating very hard, someone could correct me on that.

Exo mechs boss music is a type of remix about collective consciousness. If you compare them, they are very similar.
DoG's "don't get cocky kid!" is a direct quote from armstrong during the Excelsus fight
the Murasama also works exactly like in MGRR, only unlocking once you get to the final boss (unless you consider draedon a post yharon 2 boss)
That's why calamity is so good, it's basically metal gear rising as a mod in terraria
"Don't get cocky, kid" which is said by DoG is also a quote taken straight from Senator himself during MG Excelsus's fight.

I love that you finally made this because I was also wondering how many mgr references they have in Calamity
I like to think that when Samuel dies by Raiden's hand, he somehow ends up in the Calamity universe as the new Champion of Terraria which, in a way, sorta makes sense lore-wise since Terraria is known for making universe collaborations like Dungeon Defenders and Don't Starve
I finished MGR and went to this game immediately after for the first time and am VERY happy to see the references, didn't realize there were this many, some completely going over my head like the health bar and stimulants. Both games are fucking dope :)

the current boss music used for the exo mechs in the calamity mod music addon has a portion that sounds very similar to "collective conciousness", the theme of metal gear excelsus

THE UNENLIGHTENED MASSES
A. The current placeholder for the Exo Mechs' theme contains a tidbit of Collective Consciousness (The song that plays during the MG Excelsus fight)
B. (The obscure one) While Calamity's old future bosses were a thing, the future variant of the DoG, the Devourer of Universes could say the line "DOES IT HURT?" which may very well be a reference to one of Monsoon's lines

The reworked Ark of the Cosmos might be inspired by Sundowner’s weapon the Pincer Blades / Bloodlust
The actual inspiration for the scissor blades are the Rending Scissors from Kill La Kill, which looks closer to the actual weapon than sundowner's swords

You missed the fact that if you name your character "Samuel Rodrigues" or "Jetstream Sam" you can get the murasama without beating the boss

The exo-mech theme is based off of "collective conciousness" from the mg excelsus boss fight and partially from "it hasto be this way" from armstrong fight
Nightmare fuels tooltip says “may drain your sanity” which is a reference to Don’t Starve together
Revengeance is also the hardest difficulty in metal gear rising. You can find it by either beating the game on hard mode or entering the Konami code on the title
the fact that all of this came BEFORE mgr became a trend is insane
The Exomechs Theme has a striking similiarity to Collective Consciousness, the OST that plays when you're fighting MG Excelsus. If you also sing along to the lyrics of Collective Consciousness, the song fits perfectly well with the lyrics.

In the exo mechs placeholder song you can hear the beat of thanatos. At 35 seconds in mg excelsus theme collective concinious you can hear the beat exactly the same as thanathks

I know it's late, but i found 2 references, there are some quotes that Senator Armstrong says when fighting Excelsus, but theres a quote that says "Impressive Jack, most impressive" which is the quote that Calamitas says when spawning her minions, and a quote that says "Don't get cocky, kid" which is said by Devourer of Gods
Wonder if that means Yharim will also literally be standing still and offering us 15% of his health bar just to flex on us

Yes, if you name yourself "Sam" you can use Murasama early game, like as soon as you get it
hoping they add a little secret in yharim fight where yharim can knock murasama out of your hands while also taking increased damage from it, disabling the lyrics for you until the fight ends or you get it back
also maybe add a quick time but that's unlikely since calamity likes keeping multiplayer as multiplayer is

Side note- revengance is also a difficulty in mgrr which is probably what that was more directly referencing
Revengeance difficulty is not just a reference to MGRs title, but a reference to the highest difficulty in MGR which is also named Revengeance with scary red text
You forgot about The only Thing I know For Real, that is another version of Murasama that is Reference not only to this Sword but also to Samuel's Boss Fight Music called "The only thing I Know for Real"
