Hello am using mixxx in windows and I need to set up everything from scratch since am learning Djing and I want to practice would you please do for me a video I will appreciate
Yes you can! But that would entail you leaving your computer on 24/7 unless you have a streaming service that allows that. I personally pay for my service. I only pay roughly $16 Canadian but it's great. I have a 24/7 radio station that normally plays synthwave/chillwave. club21.radioca.st/ But again, I pay for that. You can set up auto dj in MIXXX and create and auto dj playlist and if you're ok with leaving your computer on to stream then you're good. Let me know if there is anything else that I can help with.
Does someone need special headphones in order to listen to the music without the audience hearing cos I have tried the setup with you but when I load the song they both just sing in my headphones even after swiping crossfader
been practicing with Mixxx for a few weeks. Am i missing something or is there (or not) a place where you can que up songs? i mean let's say i want to choose tracks and place them in a "holding" area so i can choose them at random to play throughout my set. my pal uses another program that lets him drag songs files to the right of his screen and place them there for quick access. can Mixxx do that?
@@maras.online.adventures Thank you for responding!!! I am a radio jock, so I use headphones while broadcasting through mix. I'd like to hear stuff separately than what is broadcasting (heard through headphones) on my Bluetooth speaker set up at the studio desk. What settings would you like to see? Do you have a Discord?
Do you mean when there is like 20+ second left of the current track? Because you can change that. I will do another video in the next day or so and post it. Hopefully that will show you how to change it. In the meantime, here is a screen shot of where you can change that in the Auto DJ crossfade settings. prnt.sc/cuwtgWW720Lr Where that red square it, that is how much time is left in the current song when the next track will start to fade over. BUT, that is also how long it takes for the next track to fade over. So if you have that set to 20 second, then when the current track gets to 20 seconds left in playtime, the next track will start fading over, BUT it will take 20 seconds to fade in the song, meaning... it's playing 20 seconds of the song. You gotta be careful with this when it comes to genres like pop and rock that might have singing starting within a few seconds of the track beginning. I never have mine higher than 10. Sometimes I go even 8 seconds.
@@maras.online.adventures Like it will let it play till the middle of the song. But then acts like it skips it because there's an ending blue line over the waveforms that is usually telling the software when it's okay to crossfade, but even if I moved that to the end of the song, it would just skip the part the blue line was before the ending. I had to play around with the file to fix it. It somehow ended fixing it if I just have Mixxx reload the track by re-importing it.
is there a way to click a button and have it automatically switch decks?
Thank yooouuu😊

I don't have my headphones plugged into my controller. I have a usb headset and it's plugged into my laptop. Not the controller.

can I export the cuepoints to rekordbox?
Unfortunately I'm not sure. I have never used Rekordbox. I'm sorry. :(
How do I add songs to the tracks section?
Drag and drop
Or you can use the hot keys. Shift+left arrow key to load on deck one and Shift+right arrow key to load on deck two.
DO you mean, basically downloading more music into the library and the having it show up in the tracks list? And sorry for the late reply. >.
It's working on windows
I couldn't get this to work :(
How do you have your settings set up?

I can't find the solution to why Mixxx is crossfading a song too soon and it's driving me nuts.

@@maras.online.adventures I had the seconds set to 3 and it would skip it like if there was something wrong with the waveform of the file.
@@benjithefox1278 meaning skip the song all together? Let me set mine to 3 seconds and see if I get the same issue.
