This was 1 of the 1st songs I wanted to Remix years ago before taking your courses, and wasn't super impressed with Steve Aoki's. The warping and other issues kept me from getting it done properly. If you're gonna finish this, here's 2 of my 58 notes I'd written down to try and perfect it (which might not work at all cuz I never got it to the point you already have): (1) For either just the MC Introduction and/or the crowd noises/cheers and/or vocal/variation, you could grab some of George's Live version in London 2020. (2) For additional vocal variation or color, perhaps in a softer section like a full breakdown or just as a muted backing vocal, I like Scott Quinn's on Foy's version. Or maybe you'd like to grab any of the instrumentation like the piano from that. (Especially since you can warp it in better than I did when I tried) [Or I'm just biased cuz the Scott Quinn vocal and Foy version is more like most of the tracks I've released since starting your courses tbh] If you need the links to either of those versions (or the 30+ others in my RUclips Music Playlist for this song, just LMK) 👍 {Personal sidenote: I really wish you/we could do more work with Remixes like this. I was saddened to learn that I couldn't submit my Remix work for your teaching and editing due to using Facebook and their archaic copyright concerns.} 👍 👍
This is a great tutorial. And it's great that earlier songs get new energy again like this. Good for all, both artist and audience. The Record companies has to follow and make nice deals with great remixers as well as the artist It's art and art is evolving! Companies has to follow up and help to spread the art!
Will, I've been following and learning from you for at least 5 years now and lots of tracks used in your video's sound amazing, but sir you got an absolute banger over here. I reckon lots of Dj's (including me) would love to play this. Thanks for all of the lessons through the years and keep on doing the good stuff!
@@EDMTips you’re definitely spot on with Beatport (Other platforms I can’t really udge.). The style of your track reminds me for example of remixes by Crazibiza or Charles J, who both successfully market their music on Beatport.
As an old guy who refuses to get old, I absolutely love it! I had it rocking in the studio and my wife even came in to hear more of it. Really appreciate the consistently high quality and entertaining content on this channel. Just moved to Ableton from S1 and your style and material is making it a fun transition Would love more remix and even DJ content, especially from a novice Ableton perspective. Cheers!
Great tutorial from Will as always, Also the course EDM tips i highly recommend as it saves you watching tons of RUclips videos and has a really great community ,i been using Neural mix pro for my remixes which separates the stems too which is ok but there probably will be a really clean Ai stem ripper soon! Nice video thanks! Wow, technology is great these days. I was a pro remixer for some labels in 1998 thru early 2000's we had to do it all manually then, it was a lot of work.
you got some really great production technics in this video !!!thanks for sharing . i was impressed by the way you treated the bass chanell . the whole tracks sounds absolutely top , any dj would want to play this rework !!!
pro tip: instead of programming each transient of the kick individually on a second track, just route the kick to a second channel and eq or low cut it so you only get the short high information of the kick (it's called ghost kick) and use that signal.
Thanks for showing us how to do a professional remix. I like to see some more remixing tutorials, as there are few good ones out there. I really like your way of explaining stuff very clearly! Keep up the good work!

Okay, so I clicked to watch the video. As soon as I heard George Benson, you had my full attention. I bought a George Benson album (In flight) in the early 80's. Let me tell you now, you absolutely must complete the track. It's awesome. I love dance, house music and that track would be in my playlist easily.
