Brake lights NOT working BUT running lights are on? Try this on a Dodge Ram 1500 brake lights!

Here is how you fix your brake lights if the running lights are on but the brake lights will not turn on

It Looks As Though You Have An Electrical Short Someplace In The Braking Wires.. It Might Be (NEAR) The Brake Switch.. Or? Someone May Have Added Something Like Trailer Lights Wiring.. Which Is Causing The Electrical Short In Your Wires.. 🤔🤔🤔 I May Be Wrong? But I'm Guessing I'm Correct.. Anyway, Good Luck..

If the trailer wiring is the problem then how do you fix it? I have the same problem. Tail lights running. No brake lights a problem ever since I've been towing my trailer

@@sherriesonora8513 check your tipm. It might be dirty and just need cleaning or check your trailer connector it might need cleaned too. I saw a guy fix his light problem that way. You never know you could get lucky.

Still have brake lights and have never put the part back in. I think when installing my plow I must have messed with some wires that possibly had something to do with the brakes? Honestly I have not dug back into it to see if I can find what it is but the brake lights still work!!!

No I took it completely out and my brakes worked!

When I had no switch in that’s when my brake lights worked like normal
