    Working under the dash laying on your back is tough. Also trunks are no fun either. I installed car stereos back in the early 80's. I can still remember lying on my back in a trunk cutting speaker holes for 6x9 speakers in the rear deck. The goggles would fog up and the metal would still find a way into your eyes,shirt ,you name it.Still have stiff necks from it after all these years. Your vids are awesome.

    • @wyattoneable
      @wyattoneable  4 года назад

      I know exactly what you mean. I never installed speakers professionally but I have done a few. My first car was a 1959 BelAir and the putting speakers in that was great because the truck was massive. But every other car I did was a pain in the back. It's funny the things we remember, thank for the comment Mike.

      That's hard to answer because it's just the other end of this harness. If you have a similar truck it's a matter of following it to where yours goes. It connected to another bundle of wires related to part of a total wiring harness. That's the best I can do.

      That's impossible for me to guess from here. There are so many possibilities. You have to narrow down the issue by going thru the things you know are good, like to make sure you have a known good bulb.

    Do the suburbans of these years not have a brake relay when looking in my under the hood fuse and relay box there is no relay or metal prongs for a relay and my 30 amp fuse is missing a metal prong for the other side of the fuse? Great video.

    • @wyattoneable

      I'm positive they have a brake relay. The fuse box cover should identify that relay.

    • @hinkhausr
      @hinkhausr 3 года назад

      Only asking because on the diagrams i have found it says except suburban/ utility. So it makes sense that my fuse and relay box doesnt have the pins for it. It is identified on my fuse box cover but like i said it is not pinned for the relay and one side of the 30 amp fuse is not pinned also.

    I have several fuses that don't work when being tested in the slots, however fuses aren't blown. I move those fuses to other locations and they do work, just not in the slots where they belong. When pulled out and inspected, the two silver prongs look burnt. What does this mean? I have a total of eight fuses that do not work and are burnt from pins but still function in other slots. Has anyone seen this before?

    • @wyattoneable
      @wyattoneable  2 года назад +2

      If the fuses work in other slots then you have no power going to the slots where they did not work. Burned pins are an indication of a bad connection. Try cleaning the pin and the slots with sandpaper and see if that helps.
