  • In this vid I install HID headlights on my Porsche Macan S.
    Huge difference over Halogen headlights.
Big thanks to Kish for the supply and install - check out his instagram @k15xan_hids

I have a Macan and had the same issue. The H15 from LEDPERF works very well and the H7 I imported from the USA. Lights now are just as good as the Porsche LED ones. No need to go LED. I went through about 10 bulbs before finding ones that actually worked and actually fit in the tight space!

I’m amazed at this as well. I’m looking at a 17 GTS and noticed in a pic that the beam is halogen. I thought this must be wrong. The 2008 TT I just sold had factory bi-xenon cornering lights, 9 years older. Xenon should be standard as they are a safety factor. I will either look for another car or live with halogen. Rule number 1 with German cars, never mess with the electronics.

My old EP3 had halogens and they were shocking in the dark. You couldn't see very well at all so when I got the FK2 with LEDs the difference was massive!

Think my last 7 cars have had at least bi-xenons or LEDs so this was a shock when I realised the standard feature was a halogen

Good video mate. Porsche charge for everything! You can't take any option for granted that is standard on other cars.

Are those really the DRL's or the high beams...?
Because in my car those are the high beams

    • @DownShiftThrottle

They're both, DRLs when lights not on which also double up as high beam

These bulbs are not bi xenon. Bi xenon means xenon low and high beam. Also 8000k is not a factory look it is too blue. Factory is more 4400k which is white.
