    Free Knowledge, It's only free if someone absorbs the info and puts it into practice. The whole aim is to pass on knowledge, It's known in the trade as "giving back". All detailers have to start somewhere, if you have the secret sauce then pass it on. As you get older you appreciate that passing tips and tricks on to the next generation is what your job becomes. Another gem of a video Jamie.

    Man what rpm/opm? works for stripping that clear coat? A DA tool i want starts at 4,000 opm.
    I was banking on 320 grit first.

    Use clear plastic adhesion promoter before the clear coat....I found they hold up better against chipping 👍👍

    Hello how much you charge for this service for 911.

    How much? This was amazing work. exactly what
    i was expecting to see.. this works for all plastic

      Regular lights is a couple hundred light it’s not too bad you pretty much can save any light if it’s on the exterior of the light

    Great job! Whew! Those lights are expensive... How much do you charge for this type of service? Or what’s the range you charge?

    • @BorndetailersTv
      @BorndetailersTv  3 года назад +1

      Depends on the light/car and how damaged they are!

      @@BorndetailersTv got ya. I see the normal range is somewhere between $75-150 sometimes higher.
      I think it’s insane for Mobile guys to charge anywhere between $45-65 for a pair! I often wonder how they make a living on such a loss? Even if they aim for volume they’re killing themselves all day to earn a decent profit.
      Most mobile detailers offer this for $50 which is crazy for an upsell option.
      What are your thoughts?

      We charge 100 to 200 a light these we more specific 500.

      @@BorndetailersTv wow. I’m charging $150 for pair mobile service. I may need to consider raising my price. I use ceramic to coat also.

      @@MichaelBrianInc there’s a spot here in SoCal that does full headlight restoration plus XPEL ultimate plus starting at $180 for both headlights. That’s a hell of a deal considering PPF gives better protection than ceramic coating and clear, plus it protects against impacts, they give a 10 year warranty on the service.

      Have them restored and apply some paint protection film over them, it will last a lot longer and provide better protection than clear coat.

  • @1998gst4611

    Why do you keep saying clear coat? They are factory clear headlight lens I don't think headlights come clear coated from the factory stock.

    • @BorndetailersTv
      @BorndetailersTv  2 месяца назад +1

      Most clear plastics come with the clearcoat that's what makes them clear. Porshe actually has really thick clearcoat. Most manufacturers have really thin at least on the headlights. It's a common thing for Clear Bra to pull them off. T
