A lot of people couldn't option for the LED during covid part shortages, at least for me the LED was not an option when I spec'd my 2023 in Oct 2022..... The options were either go with base or blacked out xenon. This video should be very helpful for many people!!!
My MK7 VW GTI has headlights similar to those of the Porsche. They have dynamic lighting that moves with the steering wheel and also use the D3S bulb. Can't wait to try the D3S LED bulbs.
Hey Daniel, thanks for making this video. I went ahead and replaced the HIDs in my PDLS 981 with the Auxito LEDs and I'm blown away by how much brighter they are. The color temperature is perhaps slightly blue, but definitely more modern than the factory Osrams. Same weird blank spot just in front of the car, but like you said, you don't even notice when sitting in the drivers seat. Thanks for all the Porsche content!
Glad I was able to get LED's on my 23' Spyder. Yeah lots of people weren't so lucky and had to choose the base or standard PDLS. Helpful vid! Keep em coming!!
A question not related to the lights. Can you share what model quick Jack you purchased for your GT4 ? Do you need to pre lift the car with low ramps to get the stands under the car. Looking at these for my 21 718 Spyder. Love your content. 👍👍
I have the 5000 TLX. You don’t need a TLX for the Porsche however, anything longer needs it. So it does double duty with my Cadillac. I don’t have any issues getting it under the car most of the time. However, I do remember one point I inflated the tires a little more to get a little more clearance that I needed. If your car is lowered, it may help to roll up on low rise, ramps, like I’ve featured in another video.
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the 5000 TL would be the right choice. Thanks again and keep sharing your great content. Has helped me a lot with DIY projects.
Tried the Auxito D3S on my 991.2 but the bulb didn't fit. I could not close the cage that holds the bulb in place so just order some more powerful HID bulbs. Nice video.
@@JetFuelOnly Yeah I was surprised that it didn't fit. The cage was close to closing but just wouldn't on either side. I think the bulb was the correct one. Disappointed.
You are some kind of pilot true or not and yet at 6:00 you make a statement fit for palm reader. True or Not based decision wouldn't pass a private ticket ride. Sure nobody will see this one, but will verify cause true or not does not cut it.
You’re right wouldn’t pass a private ticket ride, but face it, this isn’t as critical. Either way we all asses and manage our own risks. This is the one I’ve chosen.
@@JetFuelOnly Sorry I've come to really dislike the marketplace and the endless fake everythings. Years ago. walking around China I never stopped for very long anywhere, I didn't want to be copied. I'm staying with my HIDs and Night Breaker Lasers.
It is ridiculious how much effort changing the bulb on 718 is. I can "easily" change bulbs in my 981 in my tiny garage, but this is on another level. Just goes against any DIY. Not even DIY. What used to be a normal , service operation around your car, becomes a job for a mechanic. Sad

Thanks for the feedback on 981 installation! I too over time have started to feel it’s a bit blue. But I do love the brightness

Another amazing video ! Congratulations and God bless you !

Sorry to hear that. You think they weren’t the right bulb? We should have had the same bulbs between your car and my 718

@F355bob that’s good info though. Thanks for posting.
What’s the torque spec on the wheel bolts? Great video. Thx!
118 lb-ft
Retrofit to GIV?
So, you just leave the factory ballast in to power the LED?
Correct
Which LED can I use to upgrade a base bixenon gt4?
I’m not sure. Perhaps using Auxito’s bulb finder will help. But it may be the same form factor.
Putting the fender liner back in was awful. Same for shoving the rear cap fo the headlights back on.
Yeah the fender liner sucks.
PDLS+ Matrix > any other lights
