Good evening Paul, Great video!! Appreciate the time you took to show how you ran the wiring and connectors on the Buggy and the attention to detail is what I was looking for. Unlike other videos out there on this upgrade, you did not find it necessary to waste time by showing everyone how to install bolts to the winch body via the mounting plate and other unnecessary items. Thank you again for making the video and providing a direct tutorial on what you did. Cheers
Great attention to detail and appreciate the video discussing the why as well as the how of your installation, including how you chose to route the wires.
You are the first man I ever saw to actually use instructions lol. I hope you guys don't go as fast as that motorbike on your new machine YIKES!! The winch is a great addition to your new machine.
Hello John, I know what you mean, I had a weak moment and actually read, and followed the instructions. LOL! That motorbike that flew by is a regular rocket ship on wheels! As always, thanks for your comments John.
Hello Paul. What a wonderful, very descriptive demonstration of the install. I just know that this will be very helpful for lots of people. I truly enjoy your videos and the way you tell the story that is life. I look forward to the firewood videos. Be well
Hello Corey, Thank you so much, I always appreciate your comments. I hope you and your family are enjoying a good summer. I am looking forward to this winter's cutting, skidding, blocking, and splitting. As always, thanks again, Paul
Great addition to the buggy. Love the attention to detail, it will save you from frustration down the trail. Looking forward to the windshield video. Be blessed!
Hello, and greetings from the North. Having the winch gives one that little bit of added security we all appreciate when we are in the bush. It was great fun to install it. On our last machine (a Polaris Sportsman 500) I really only needed the winch twice, but when we needed it we really needed it. I hope to install the windshield in the next few days, I am looking forward to the project. Brother, we are truly Blessed! Hope you and your family are all doing well.
Good job on the winch Paul, shouldn't have much problem with that for sure. I put one on my Argo and could take a moose off the ground no problem!....... good luck with it!
Thanks so much Mac, it was a fun little job. I hope one day I can use this one to also move a moose. I am sure having a winch on your Argo is a handy addition to an already amazing machine. I hope all are doing well and having a good summer. Paul
Hello Dr. Mark, hope the weather in Texas is great and you are doing well. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Love Bluegrass and the 5 string Banjo!
A little late to the party, im also in ontario, down by windsor ont. Nice clean installation you did there, was that a warn mount for the winch you used also? I'l be purchasing a 2024 700-2 DLX soon, just checking out some videos, you have posted some very good ones, thanks for taking the time and trouble
Greetings from Eastern Ontario! Thank you so much for your comments and encouragement, they are greatly appreciated. I am sure you will love the Pioneer 700, it is a fantastic machine. And yes, it was a Warn Winch kit I used. We purchased our machine during the pandemic when parts, accessories and even machines were incredibly difficult to source. Normally I would have purchased OEM Honda accessories. We had actually ordered a 520 and were on a significant "wait list". The dealer called as soon as the 700 arrived and gave us first chance to purchase it. We have never looked back, and are so glad we purchased it. It is a well designed and well built machine. I hope all goes well with your purchase and you and your family enjoy a happy and healthy 2024!
Thank you for the quick reply, I've had good luck with my 2008 honda foreman 500cc and warn equipped winch and plow, so I will go that route outfitting my Pioneer, the warn is cheaper then the oem parts also, my ATV has never been in the shop, never let me down, but I'm 67yrs old now looking for a bit of luxury in the Pioneer, thanks again for posting, I'm a subscriber now, also hunt and fish, travel to my cousins in Eldorado
Hello Dave, thanks so much for your comments and encouragement. We usually plow our snow with a John Deere farm tractor, but are considering buying a blade four new buggy. Some may call our tractor vintage, I suppose it depends on the generation of the one offering the thoughts. LOL Thanks again, Paul
Hi Paul I and a 60 plus fellow looking to retire back north of Fenlon ont. I was thinking about a side by side to do work around the new place and I ove that you are honest about you Honda. and Ontarian Like myself. where did you by your machine? I am looking now and what was the price range I know the 520 is around 15 but the 700 looks like it my=ihgt work for what I want too. Thanks for the videos take care.
Greetings Neighbour! Thank you for your comments and encouragement. We absolutely love our 700, it has more than met our expectations. We purchased it at Cartronics in Napanee. The salesman's (business owner) name was Jeff. We have know and dealt with the family for many years and think very highly of them. As far as the price, I acxtually cannot remember what it was, I do seem to remember that the 520 was in the $15 range. we saved a little by installing the accessories ourselves. I am hoping to produce a video some time this winter explaining our use and giving a review and how the machine has worked for us. I am happy for you as you approach retirement. What an exciting time in life. We took a drive over the Christmas break and passed through the Fenlon Falls area, what a beautiful part of the country! Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. All the best, Paul
