I was in Paris during the spring of 2000 for 2 weeks and played a few night clubs while I was there. During the day I went to a lot of different restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then to the art museums and music stores. It was a great time. Another thing about Paris is you can't have a bad meal there. The food is the best I've ever experienced. Not only is the taste and quality sensational, but the amount of food you get for the money it cost is better than in the states.

It's simple just pick the amp have set for the effect you want then run an audio mic 🎤🎙️ from inputs of the second amp and just hang it in front of the speaker cabinet 🗄️ you're playing from. The effect works better with distance between the two amps.

I like the Steely Dan solo lick on the 335! :-) Paris is wonderfull, even more when the weather is nice. Thanks for the videos, they are really interesting, even for a drummer. LoL.

I have a 63 burst with block inlays. I know Wildwood Guitars had a similar one for sale at 20K. That would save you enough coin for another European trip next year! I have Les Pauls and Strats, but my 335s are my go-to guitars when I want that creamy 1960 blues magic and 70's broad rock booyeah! If you know what I mean? You will never have regrets making a 335 purchase. And, they seem to hold their value. Good luck.

You gotta visit Stockholm, I did last summer and it was a great city to get by with the subways, buses and even boats.

That exhale at 11:00 is how guitar players feel every time they let go of a guitar they want but can't buy.

Man, if I could actually play the solo to “Kid Charlemagne”, I’d play it on an ES-335 too!

You missed a shop called Vintage Instruments. Same street. The owner is nuts but he sells super collectable guitars and basses.

What a great show. I especially enjoyed the bike thing it all created a wonderful anticipation to seeing the guitars. You should do a regular show on window shopping for treasures I am sure we all would look forward to it. Victory should hire you I've not heard a better demo of how rich the tone is. I noticed your lovely lady was all for getting the Gibson. My wife is my bass player with ye old Jazz and P. bass and has just added an old Music Man to her collection. She did her homework and if Leo was directly involved with the design she 'has' to have one.Mind you she is a savvy shopper the instruments are near new condition and she bought the Jazz and the P. for less then $500.00 USD. These all American made instruments too so the prices are a steal. I have to wait my turn. lol

Also, something you should point out, is that the majority of musical instruments shops, including guitar shops are located in the "Pigalle" district of Paris. "Pigalle" is also known as being the place where the ladies selling their charms used to be, including strip tease clubs, hostess bars and the like. It is still a little bit like this today, but not as much as when I was a kid.
Last but not least, James Trussart, le French luthier known is Los Angeles used to have his shop right there too. But as a pioneer of his craft, he decided to move to the USA early, because the market was there. I remember entering his shop back then, Rue Duperré. I did not think much of purchasing a guitar with a rusty metal top at the time... lol...

Just saw the NAMM Mythos thing...your idea for the Lark is genius. I think other pedal makers will pick up on the idea and also do an Amp-in-a-Box like you did!

I like the little Kid Charlemagne licks you snuck in there. Some day I'll get to play a 335 and do the same.
