Cool. Just inspired me to find a way to get to the Dallas Guitar show - need to figure out if they let randoms like me in there. Also, never fun to have to keep tuning a guitar you're trying out. I would certainly hope those shops put on fresh strings and make sure the ones they bring are intonated and in tune.
I was there on day 1 of the show; sorry I missed you guys! So much fun, even for a lefty like myself! I passed on a nice SG in favor of a Frankenstein bass that had a sticker that read "Mutant". How could I resist?
Front Street Guitars: My friend Jerry Temple from Great Falls, SC, owns this shop. A great friend I've known for decades. Check out his shop in Georgetown, SC if you're down that way.
Thanks guys - enjoyed visiting the show with you . I was salivating as you made your way through the show, but not depressed about my inability to afford one of these vintage axes, instead it makes me appreciate the cost to value ratio of my Squier Tele. Who knows, it may bring in 100x what I paid for it in another 50 years - lol.
Love that expression! Whenever people ask me what it’s like being on stage playing for people or just playing guitar in general, I respond with “it’s the most fun you can have with your clothes on”. Always gets a laugh…or at least a titter. 😎🎸
The Tractor Show? Where's the tractors? 🙂 That 345 is gorgeous! Shades of Mike Pender! That Band Master must be a '60 or '61 ... I am blessed to have a '62 and it is wonderful. I cut my teeth on my brother's brand new 1960 Jazzmaster! I'm just up from Orlando ... That gold equipped, P-90 loaded Paul is absolutely gorgeous!
Most collective types of instruments are either hidden or stalling for better sights and expectations. BUT there are gems in these hills of the musical adventures and refinement of styles of American music. Y'all should really come up here... or do we have to come down there to The Southern Pines to talk (Jam).
I almost bought an early 1965 Jazzmaster (L plate) for about 3 grand in 2018. At the last minute, the acquaintance who was selling it changed his mind. Now I'll probably never be able to afford one 😞 It played and sounded so good too! Damn I'm bummed
Great video! I was hoping you guys would make it to the show. I was up there on Saturday. That was the first time I saw any Wayne Henderson guitars in person. Did ya'll see the 1933 D-28 with the shaded top, 12th fret neck joint, and slotted headstock?
Couldn't believe seeing the Fender Mustang bass that looks exactly like the one I have, minus the felt tip pen signatures that my daughter had signed on the back from her favorite local musicians growing up.
My Best freind also suffers from "Baxter Hair". It doesn't matter how often he combs it, his hair is having a "Wild Party" and we're all invited. Have Fun.
That was an excellent show. I loved seeing all the cool guitars and amps. Is there much negotiating at shows like this, or is the sticker price the only price? That was a 9 out 10 episode (-1 for referring to yourself in the 3rd person)
5:05 that was the bass guitar I started with. Sadly I did sell it, I modded it with DiMarzio p-bass pickups. (by luthier Ted Thompson former Laravie luthier)
I have a problem with the playing too loud issue. How are you supposed to know what an amp sounds like unless you turn it up? But yeah, you and Baxter need to Krank up the Brownie Bandmaster. Show them you still ROCK!!! I want to add that this video made me want to touch myself in ways that many would consider impure. And tell Sean that I called him a couple of days ago just before closing time about getting three of those Runway Guitar Cables, but I never got the email about where to send the funds. Probably thinking about offsets.
i hesitate on buying any brand new 2-2500$ guitar, however, going to that show with about 7k to spend, yep there are so many amazing cool guitar choices, why get the murphy or the private stock when all these great old guitars are really affordable, and was there even a prs on the vid?
Beautiful 6120, but double retail? Yikes! Makes me wanna run down to the shop where I have my 58 country gentleman(second batch) on consignment and up the price from 10 to 20k :)
I like Gibsons and Fenders that are less than ten years old myself. Very reasonable and play as good as the vintage guitars. The only way I'd buy a vintage guitar is as an investment.
Southside Guitars in Brooklyn has some nice gear but now they do not allow customers to walk in and play all the guitars you see like they did pre-pandemic. They have changed to an appointment only model like some of the guitar stores in the area. You make an appointment and you tell them which guitars you would like to see and they bring them out to the front of the store which they have allotted for customers, one at a time. Terrible business model but Music Zoo is doing the same. I wonder if other guitar stores are doing this or if its just in New York?
Two guitars stood out for me. That JP (Jimmy page) ‘07 les Paul for $9500, & the best looking of the bunch, the red es335 is the classic color but to me, there’s nothing more beautiful than a walnut Gibby es335 @ $5999.
You mean “Fletcher guitar show”? It was poorly run but had some cool sellers. Does anymore remember which stand had that Mark V head? I wish I’d have bought it
0:56 far out that thing looks clean AF did she still have original PAF’s ! Good find Guitar Jesus ! I’d take any 59-60 ES 335 /330/345 etc over a 59-60 LP any day of the week. I honestly don’t understand why they don’t fetch burst money, they are simply just better instruments
Cream City Music is from Milwaukee, my hometown. They've gotten real big in the last 10 years or so. Kind of monopolized the vintage used guitar market.
4:39 How on earth could y'all have ignored the Yamaha SBG on the left behind the blue Fender in the back????? Yamaha no longer sends those guitars to the U.S. and to find one is not just rare, but nearly impossible!!!
Funny to see Izzy's in the video, until now he was just some reverb seller that responds to messages in a wholly inappropriate way, reading some nasty intent where there was none. Hope his people skills were better in person.
Got out of the vintage guitar fetish 30 plus years ago. Prices have gotten stupid in the extreme....don't understand how people will pay enough to have bought a new car or substantial down payment on a house. Most willing to pay that much probably don't have the chops to justify the expense. Yes indeed, a fool and his money are soon parted....just sayin.....
In a stressful world, we can all learn a lot from Baxter's positivity and goofiness with people.
Baxter's the man
It's fun to see you guys 'out in the wild' on a field trip.
So great to see you guys!! Thanks for having us in this 😎
You guys are great! I bought some cool MIJ's from you
@@mistreated appreciate you!
I love it when Baxter takes his sons to amusement parks and guitar shows! ❤
Awesome show. Looking around at a guitar show is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Thanks guys! Cheers

Oh man, Orange Gretsch... now I know what a moth feels like. Lamp! Orange Gretsch!
Thanks Guys for showing us the show!

Thanks for featuring the young folks over at A Flash Flood of Gear. There's and CG are my two favorite channels.
Very fun! Thanks for taking us along!

That is the sweetest jaguar I've ever seen.

The non-reverse Custom Firebird, white w/gold hardware at 4:05, that would be the one for me - were I to have $4k kicking around ;-)
Same
It was so awesome to meet Jonathan there! Thank you :)
Keep killing it Brothers!
This is the coolest episode of Casino Guitars I've ever seen, more please.
Kids in a candy store! I love it ❤
Just watched flash flood go shopping in Japan love both your channels
Love to hear it! We're big fans of Casino as well!

I’ve actually bought a few guitars from Cream City Music. Great guys!
Was really wanting to go. Now that I know I could've met you guys too I'm really kicking myself
Headed to the Nashville show next week. Can’t wait!
See you there!

I'm glad that Bax is a Hendeeson fan as well!
Sweet Mustang bass!
Thank you!!
Road trip!!!!!!
That white sg custom 😫
Nice job
BTW. How do you know when a guitar show is coming to your area?

I’m jonesing for a Jazzmaster really bad about now 😰😰😰😰
5:05 that was the bass guitar I started with. Sadly I did sell it, I modded it with DiMarzio p-bass pickups. (by luthier Ted Thompson former Laravie luthier)
Uggh... that 69' walnut 335 at the end... I cried a little because I can't buy it now
11:21 Baxter gettin' crop dusted!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The name "Flash Flood of Gear" brings back bad memories of the Nashville flood and Sound Check's storage facility.
I have a problem with the playing too loud issue. How are you supposed to know what an amp sounds like unless you turn it up? But yeah, you and Baxter need to Krank up the Brownie Bandmaster. Show them you still ROCK!!!

How many Duesenberg guitars did you play or even look at.
thats 50s tele with the yellow sticky note for me
yup, that one caught my eye too
I love, A Flash Flood of Gear. I've bought some cool MIJ's
That ‘63 Jag hang tag said fiesta red.

Great seeing Chris Stapleton at the guitar show. lol
Was that a 335 w Bigsby for 6500? That's sweet.
I like Gibsons and Fenders that are less than ten years old myself. Very reasonable and play as good as the vintage guitars. The only way I'd buy a vintage guitar is as an investment.

I’m surprised you weren’t told to “turn it down” while strumming the rosewood Henderson.

I need that bassman😁
I drive a '92 truck. Imagine what I can afford there. Shawn, it ain't a good show without hearing the "tuning song" Lol
0:56 far out that thing looks clean AF did she still have original PAF’s ! Good find Guitar Jesus !

Baxter's accent gets think when he's around the country boys.
13:30 Will sticky notes harm nitro finishes?
Maybe if you left it on there for a year.
You could gear the quality of the Henderson thro my iPad speakers
Buy It
I have never heard of guitar shows! I feel shame. I bet they are well- attended.
Oh, the bokeh. I dug the video.
Derrick's out of focus camera from baxter moving too much lol
That Jaguar though....
I want that Mustang! How do I get it?!
Edit: Found their site.
Just listed it on our site!
4:39 How on earth could y'all have ignored the Yamaha SBG on the left behind the blue Fender in the back????? Yamaha no longer sends those guitars to the U.S. and to find one is not just rare, but nearly impossible!!!
Very stoked to have that one!
@@aflashfloodofgear Yeah I have a Pacifica 612 and I love it! I’m hoping to get a Revstar one day…
If Baxter didn’t walk out with that ‘62 Jag, I can only imagine the regret he’s feeling right now.
Don’t worry Baxter my Scion is an 2006.
A comb !!! Please or a brush
Maybe they have combs or a barber there? LOL
Why do you not like Wayne Henderson? He's a great man.
Buy the jaguar!!!
Have you ever noticed.... every guitar show you go too around the country.. you'll hear the same licks being played in the distance.... why is that?
Funny to see Izzy's in the video, until now he was just some reverb seller that responds to messages in a wholly inappropriate way, reading some nasty intent where there was none. Hope his people skills were better in person.
His Old Man has the $$$, he is just a punk ass man child!
$16,000.00 is a lot of money just to play a few pentatonic scales...lol
The only bad thing about this video is that it’s over. 😢
Maybe Baxter could trade something for a COMB.........
You can’t watch it for all the advertisers

Yeap. Thank you so much for building guitars that nobody can afford...
