If you benefit from great people taking the time to make such great and helpful tutorial vids like this, watch all the ads so that they make a little ad money. It's a great way to say TY. TY Sal. Great job! 👍
Woow, great idea for cutting small holes! I watched many ideas on RUclips but only you saw that small holes can also be cut with an angle grinder with a standard disc size! Thanks a lot!
I wish Sal lived next door to me. He is a pro and excellent at explaining the details. I hope one day I can buy him a beer. My bathroom project is going great because I was educated buy Sal’s videos. What a hard working man.
This is so awesome - it allows someone without experience, like me, to have the confidence to do a tiling project! I’m on my second project, thanks to you, and planning the third. Many, many thanks Sal!!!
Sal.... you are an awesome man! We need more people like you in the world! Some of us can't afford expensive tile Setters and you have made it possible for us to do our own work and for that I'm grateful. I will be getting some drill bits from you on Amazon to help support your work and I thank you so much! Love from South Carolina
I'm so glad I found this video. I am putting ceramic tile in my shower. I need to cut some holes. I like the angle grinder with the finger mill hole enlarger bit.
This is better that watching a cooking show 😀. Thank you for the time you take to make these videos: I am a DYIer - your videos have helped me gain the confidence to do many things myself: Or at least try. (With success.) Most of all to recognize - right from wrong. ☕️ have a great weekend.
You do a great job of explaining in a simple way of how to think though things, you are obviously a pro. Thank you so much and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us DIYers. It is very very much appreciated. God bless you!!
Really good video Sal - you make it look easy, I just bought some diamond drill bits and will be trying to cut a couple of holes in a ceramic tile to go round a mixer tap fitting shortly. Thanks for the very helpful video.
Thanks sal I’m in process of shower tile install and need to make some odd shape holes in tile thanks to you I’m going out to get that shaping bit , thanks great info
Great video Sal! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge because if you don’t have the right tools it’s too hard to make money in this business. Thanks Again! -Evan, from Boston
I had a guy that could cut a square hole with a grinder and knip it round perfectly. I was a carpenter and learned how to lay tile from him. He was a master at terrazzo too. God rest his soul. 😭
Sal! Cool 😎 trick... I love when I watch a video of yours to see if there's a better way, and I watch you do it exactly the same way I do, same drill, same bits, same sponge 😂 😂 😂 Sometimes I like the way I do things, but I just do it your way, anyways. Cause there's nothing you don't do to exact spec. Makes life easier. Thanks Mr. Sal
@@SalDiBlasi a lot of slow options and crap techniques when looking up drilling into porcelain on internet, even when I asked drill experts in the shop they were giving me really bad methods. very clear and detailed video sir!
I need to cut an opening for access to replace a shower valve. Can you use an oscillating tool with diamond blade? Or should I not waste my time with that and just use an angle grinder? Or is there a better tool?
I’m a plumber just putting in some shower trim for a shower, I need a hole a tiny bit bigger and I’m obviously not equipped with tile cutting tools or too much experience on it. Is there any way I can get a 1” hole just a tiny bit bigger?
Great video! But can you give advice on putting a 1 1/4" hole in ceramic tile that is already on the wall?...trying to get the cut started with a hole saw bit has prove to be very difficult--the damn thing runs all over the place & scratches up the tile--can you offer some methods and advice? Thanx Sal
Sal...I love your videos. Who the f**k are these 21 people who would say anything negative????? This wisdom is from the ages. Thank you sir for all you do to educate.
fantastic video one thing though i wanted to know is how to do this for something like a kitchen sink. I have a marble countertop and its a big slab. I was told that i should drill a hole and use a jigsaw with a stone blade but i'll be honest im nervous as from what my manufactuers told me they shattered my original one while leveling it so if i use a jigsaw is there a chance my countertop will shatter? is there a better way?
Hey, nice video and good tips! That curved cut with the snap cutter was impressive! What is the shaping tool called that you use in the grinder please?
will that shaping tool work on granite? I have a new sink faucet and the new sleeve for the sprayer needs 1 and an eighth hole and the existing hole is onely 1 inch.
Lots of great tips - thanks for all you do for the community! Any special tips for porcelain? Recently had to drill some very hard porcelain and it destroyed a fairly good quality hole saw bit after 6 holes.
I hope everyone takes Sal's advice to never remove the grinding wheel guard and to take all safety precautions, like wearing a dust mask, ear muffs and safety googles, just as I'm sure Sal was, even though we couldn't see his face during the grinding etc.
That grinder cut is what i needed. Thanks so much. Youre a godsend
It is so nice to see someone sharing their knowledge with others! This is what it means to be a member of the human race! Good job!

Great videos be and tutorials !!!!! Greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thank you

perfect demo but I imagine the larger the bit, the harder it is to consistently demonstrate, do you have a video for 3 inch tile circular wet saw?
Where can i buy that grinder bit at 15:50 for cutting round shape on at the edge?

Thanks Sal a really good tips
You bet
Great video....what about porcelain tiles. Do you just need better quality bits or other kind special ones or the method doesn't work.
are you using speed 1 or 2 on the drill?
Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I wish i would have found you before I tiled my floor. Glad I didn't before doing the shower. Thanks so much for all you do bud
Pity I didn't see this two weeks ago, I managed but it could have been a bit easier. Oh well it will be of great help shortly!!!!!!
Thank you teacher. God bless you
Thank you too

When shaping with the grinder bit will it chip the tile ?
Depends on the tile.

Very well
Now the Milwaukee m12 fuel 3 inch cut off would be perfect for those little holes

Welcome!
hello from italy, good job in this video sal :)
👍😊
Look very soft and easy but it may be not in the case for porcelain tile which is more hard and thick
That was a porcelain tile.
Great job, I need to cut 2 holes for my shower and mix valve.
Thanks, glad it helped
Best point is a guide and a dam for wet guarded cut

Probably people that just love to troll and be negative about everything.
Than you.
Good tips for me a diyers. Tks u sir. make my life easy, haha.
wow thanks!
No problem!
So, you don't need the expensive tile-stone hole saw bits?
The ones intended for wood and metal (cheap) will work fine?
No, you need diamond coated hole saws, wood and metal tools will not work at all.
P4 blade then shape. It's easier, no?
no

@@DataScientist268 nope i have more to do
Heck of a lot more control for the ones that are for the grinder. Unless i am forced, i will never use a drill to do these holes

what do you call that shaping tool?
There should be a link in the description
So did you close dibsmart?
Surely this is dangerous though, using electric drill on a wet surface?
