Cresselia is a roaming Pokémon in BDSP (just like the originals), which makes it a little tough to catch, this is your guide on how to encounter and capture it!

Using Timer Balls is good if you managed to drag out the battle to 10 turns. It's effectiveness hits 4x at 10 turns.
A good alternative for mean look/block pokemon would be Bronzong, it's defences and typing makes it harder to take down and also it can learn hypnosis.
Absol is a great mean look Pokemon as mesprite and cressellia with psychic type moves don’t effect it. Also, absol can learn false swipe and thunder wave.
I love the links to dreams for the lunar duo. It's very cool.
Yeah everyone tends to neglect the *small* detail that you have to have a pokemon that's not at a higher level than Cresselia as your leader or it will not appear, and you'll have run around in circles for nothing.
That's not true, she appeared when I had my level 64 Haunted in the lead
@@SuperMegahart Well I don't know what to tell you, because I've ran in circles and wasted a dozen max repels with a full team in the level 70s, but as soon as I slid a level 22 Riolu in my team's lead I got a fight with Cresselia in about ten steps.
I highly recommend bronzong for this, especially if you get one from underground, as he gets block, hypnosis, and heavy slam to deal decent damage and not oko
I have a bronzong but he doesn’t have hypnosis is there a tm? And where can I find one
@@Rx-mw9pn heart scale and go see move relearner in pastoria if its past the level he learns it
I just caught Cresselia and like you, I wasted my master ball on Mesprit (though I tried catching it with quick ball reset method but that didn't work.). I got her to appear after my recent max repel wore off (I was wondering why she didn't show right away and it was because most of my team was slightly over leveled.). I was at Route 210 when I caught her and I used a bulky female Wobbuffet and just chucked mostly ultra balls and several timer balls until the pokemon was caught.
For reference a hunter or gangar with mean look and hypnosis might be a better option over all
I was wondering why mine wouldnt pop out into battle when i was on the right tiles. FINALLY a video that tells me I need to lead with a below lvl 50 pokemon in oder for it to spawn!!
My strategy was to first Paralyse it (let it run), then use a Mean Look Pokémon to reduce it's health to red. Then keep throwing Ultra Balls, until you either catch it or it KO's your Pokémon and runs away. The only thing that makes things harder than Mesprit is the Moonlight attack.
I have 2 roaming legends and it keeps messing up the encounters what should I do
ideally, the pokemon that should be pretty useful in catching runaways is Bronzgong, because it can learn Block and Heal Block, so it can stop the runaway from running away and prevent it from constantly using recovery moves, but the problem is Bronzgong is rather slow, and these runaways tend to be fast
The mean look strat didn’t work for me quite well so I just saved right before and used quick balls then just soft locked if it didn’t catch
Also a very good, viable strategy
I was trying to save my masterball for a legend and I accidentally used it on a Torkoal😐
Creselia gives me flashbacks..
Dude thanks so much!
5:10 You should have used Absol!
A good alternative is to have a la level 50 Pokémon then swap to a shadow Tag wobbufet then it can't escape
So funny how he keeps bite flinching the creselia
i quick balled it in 2 triesprobably reallllly low odds, but im happy
They should give it roar... it needs it
if you get a pokemon thats higher than the area level but LOWER than Cresselia you can use a repel and guarantee that you only get Cresselia
A Pokemon with Arena Trap is also great
Cresselia dissapeared off the map on my pokemon brilliant diamond after I obtained the national DeX and I used dragon claw and she fled and this morning I woke up to find her on the map and she was not on the map can anyone tell me why she dissapeared off the map
What happens when you kill a roaming Pokémon
Do you have to beat the Champion first
I have not seen him in a while
Does it need to be night for it to work
Just caught cresselia on my 3rd attempt with a quick ball
i think i saw someone using bronzong with block
this is the pokemon that broke Phil, and i can't blame him
I need help, the boy is fine and he’s walking around. Do I need something to start this quest?
Become champion first
@@fzsake I am champion
@@ricebenji it might have to be night time
@@trygraspy Nah it's because you need the national Dex first, so you have to have at least seen all 151 sinnoh pokemon
It had perfect fuming ivs and I fleas god I wish I had a mean looker
If I encounter shiny cresselia and it runs away, will it stay shiny? Or will it reroll the next time I encounter it?
It’ll reroll
Do you need to do o have lower level Pokémon to see Cresselia? Or is the lower level just for the repel trick? I have have a level 60 Hunchrow with mean look and I don’t use repels. I was able to find Mesprit fine with my higher level Hunchrow.
Just a lower level for the repel trick
loving the videos phil
Thank you Chris, will catch up soon :)
@@PDWinnall cant wait, been a while ^_^
Magikarp
Can you shiny hunt it ?
thanks
Is it possible to go back on the island after interacting with Cresselia?
As far as I'm aware yes, I think you can get the boat back there, I'm not 100% though I'm sorry
yes, you can go back there, but there would be no point, since the island only has Cresselia and lunar feather
@@firxanza5172 Thank you!! (I love going on the island for no reason)
i killed mesprit and giratina sadly, but at least i caught cresselia, uxie, and palkia!
I thought it was mithacl
Just quick balled it first time with full health ... painless haha.
hi
You pronounced Giratina wrong
How about arena trap on trapinch? Why didnt you save when it's on the right route. This way you should be able to soft reset the game to save time? I'm not sure this will work.
Good advice with arena trap, if you can get a Pokémon at a high enough level with it! Unfortunately saving and resetting will change its location!
@@PDWinnall ah
Cresselia can negate Arena Trap with Levitate.
Cresselia has Levitate so Arena Trap wont work cuz you know... she can just float away
@@PDWinnall Actually. Roaming Legendaries changing location if you save and reset only happens in the D/P/Pt/HG/SS/B/W/B2/W2 and probably G/S/C/R/S/E/FR/LG games. But surprisingly not on this. Tested and proven. Just did it myself.
