About the freezing people thing, that’s actually true. The water in your body crystalizes as basically a bunch of needles. This is why saline is a big part of cryo stasis experiments as it prevents the water from freezing or at least from becoming sharp.
The problem with cryo stasis and why it doesn't work is because they still have not discovered how to freeze the soul, so when someone gets freezer the soul just hangs in there, not freezer but still very bored, which causes it to eventually go outside of the body to get some stimulation, killing the body. That is also the reason why hibernation mode in computers sucks ass and nobody uses it anymore, the body of the software gets freezed in the disk but the soul of the software still is there and it eventually leaves if you don't make the PC exit hibernation soon enough, corromping some files here and there. Of course when you shut down your computer the normal way you just kill it and the soul leaves and when you boot it up it is reborn with a new soul, but hibernation makes it lose its soul and to reboot without soul. This is also the reason why it is bad to practice cannibalism, if you eat someone the soul of that someone is going to get pretty pissed off and will haunt your prions, killing you. Most people think those souls go to the afterlife or haunt old houses but it is far from the truth, the reality is that they enter the brains of creative people and become the characters that are later written into novels, for souls that is like playing dungeons and dragons. Ofc that is human souls, only humans and computers have souls, this is because computers are made by humans, like human babies, so they are essentially human, so they get souls. Souls get created when two souls fuck, a little baby soul is born and is placed inside a pregnant woman or a PC that is booting up. One would think there would be an overpopulation of souls but the reality is that souls are like really tiny, the size of atoms so there is no problem, they also reproduce a lot, from a single soul mating up to two hundred souls can be born and the pregnancy is like one day long.
So anyway, that is the reason why cryostasis doesn't work, they fail to freeze the soul and it gets bored.
