Fun fact, there actually was an episode where the gang didn't know who the monster was, in the "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" episode where they went to Greece and had to deal with a centaur. The culprit was a character that was seen in the show a few times, but the gang never met them. Therefore, Velma had a mental breakdown when she got it wrong. The rest of the gang didn't care.

The hilarious thing is the bit about Frieza giving up on immortality because of the potential to be trapped, and deciding to to wish to be taller is actually canon as of the DBS Broly movie. He literally collects the earth dragon balls to wish to be taller.
He went all out, truly embodying the spirit of "YOLO", and was willing to kill, just to be 5cm taller. Dude just wanted to live his best life 😂😂
And even then, he clearly didn't think it through. He wanted to wish for a marginal increase in height, that way it wasn't so obvious, with the goal of using multiple wishes to eventually get to his desired stature... but like... why wouldn't he just wish to gradually grow to X height over the course of a few years?

@@AlakaxamM Seems like you aren't thinking this through. He doesn't need to say "I wish to gradually grow to 9 feet tall over the course of 6 years". He could start off small, go for the bare minimum height he would be satisfied with, and then years later he could go back for the next gradual growth wish, which he could do with smaller intervals. Furthermore, if he ends up getting satisfied with his height at any point, he could then go back to make a wish to stay at his current height, it's not like he's rapidly growing after all.
Ultimately this would reduce the trips to Earth he would have to make, therefore reducing the amount of potential "monkey" encounters and also reducing the likelihood of his troops asking questions. Making 3 or 4 trips is a lot better than 10 or 15. Frieza is starting at a really short height after all.

In Origins, Professor Oak, Red, and Blue learn about Mewtwo through Fuji's notes, hence why Mewtwo is # 150, the "final" Pokemon of Kanto. But then Red ponders "wait, if this is MewTWO, then theoretically, there should also be an original Mew.", which is why Mew is indexed as # 151 after Mewtwo.

At least the first 4 gens each had NPC lines attributing the Pokedex technology to Prof. Oak. I admittedly fell off Pokemon between gens 5-7, rejoining at Sw/Sh, so if there was any contradictory info introduced at that time, I would love to hear it.

Ik it was a gag, but as a dragom ball supernerd, I need to set the record straight on 2 points: immortality is not a bad wish, and the zenkai boost would remain for most kinds of immortality though not all (subaru natsuki)
The Zenkai boost isn't an original saiyan concept, it is actually and ancient concept in kongfu, and the genetic zenkai boost is based in that and has the same conditions. You don't actually need to be "near death". You need to be critically injured and survive, and the more critically injured you are the more the power increase is. This does not prevent crippling, which has a greater impact than zenkai boosts except during the evolution of super saiyan, when the zenkai massively multiplies due to S-cells and then tapers off after. However, if the dragon balls make you immortal the way Majin Buu is immortal and you can "instantly" regenerate, which is undetermined but most likely if we use garlic jr as reference, this means that Vegeta could, in fact, be put through a meat grinder over and over again and he would zenkai from extremely critical damage. This doesn't stop frieza from obliterating his physical body. Immortality doesn't mean invulnerability, and it's just namekian dragon balls, its not the super dragon balls that made Zamasu truly immortal. Majin buu is basically the perfect example of what normal dragon balls would do most likely. And remember jow gotenks was going to destroy super buu rather than kill him, and goku did destroy kid buu?
But another thing to consider is that he gains the same kind of immortal as im greek mythology, where you always exist and are concious but can be cut up into so many pieces you'll just suffer for all eternity. Immortality is not actually a bad wish, it is just that it has pros and cons and it can be a sort of monkeys paw as a result. You need to pick the best Immortality to suit your needs.

@@ricardonb6375 yes, although gohans dialogue was a bit off point, the point that wishing for Immortality is a lot more complicated than it sounds and you need to be more specific than immortality.
On that note: generic immortality also doesn't prevent aging, and even though saiyans are in their prime until they aren't, unless Vegeta actually stops the aging he will be a decrepit old man eventually.
Also, in the Eng Dub, frieza wants "eternal life" not immortality. While they seem the same they aren't. Eternal life implies living forever under natural causes, which would include a super healthy body and reduced or completely halted aging. Eternal life would also imply no need for sustanence. Given that frieza can survive while being tiny pieces or half blown up, that means that eternal life for frieza is basically just BETTER immortality. Idk if this was a translation thing or an actual choice by funimation america, but my head canon for the Eng Dub is that frieza, unlike Vegeta, actually considered the complexity of immortality and took a better approach.
Idk when the original came out, but frieza did try to wish to be taller post-dragon ball super.

6:16 old ass video, but I'll just say this in case no one else brought it up: from my understanding, mew was an extinct mythical level legendary according to the game lore, at first at least.
The bio-engineering of mewtwo brought out the mew from hiding, or something like that. But mew and other Pokémon considered to be extinct in the region, aren't added to the pokedex... Until they are actually sighted, by the player/characters gathering info for prof oak.
So in reality, I think the pokedex catagorization in every region frankly, is just based off of whatever professor's catalog you/the player character decides to run with, at the time. So rly, we are always using some isolated professor's dex catalog in order to identify Pokémon... And frankly doing their work for them in verifying that they exist in the region. Lol
** tldr, from what little I understand, regional dex is just the catalog of whatever professor you are working under at the time of that particular game...
National dex is SUPPOSED TO BE the full catalog for the region, but it's frankly fractured and incomplete in every single game, so... I literally don't know, I can only guess the implication is that even tho we the player may know every single Pokémon in a previous region, the current story's national dex just.... Doesn't, include the full catalog of every single Pokémon we as the audience are aware of, in neither regional nor national dex of that game.
But aside from all of that, mew is considered extinct prior to the discovery of mewtwo, but mew was brought out of hiding with the presence of mewtwo, thus he was added to the first regional dex from prof oak, AFTER the clone of itself was added.

***NO ONE UNDERSTANDS POKEMON SCARLET AND VIOLET***
You know, you can't really deny gen 9 its merits. It's the only gen where you could literally beat up 2 cars throughout the game with a flamingo. The fire type starter is the actual dominant starter for a playthrough, it hasn't been like that for literally generations (gen 4). Area Zero alone made it (IMO) the best ending to a pokemon main game ever along with that chefs kiss, OST. (Beats out the Mirror B theme by the way as my personal favorite pokemon soundtrack) You know, despite all the bugs, I have the confidence in Scarlet and Violet as easily one of their top best games in history. Believe it or not, I fucking love the new lets go battling mechanic too, It's a great way to avoid random encounters, along with the fact that your pokemon still gain exp, love it!! Sadly, the one thing that mostly kills it for people, is the bugs and some of it is the limited online activity too, but it's mostly the bugs.
However now you can get a superhero dolphin pokemon, but it's disappointing to most people because of it's evolution conditions. In fact there's quite a few evo conditions in the game that unfavored to most eyes (**cough** Gholdengo **cough**). Bruh I remember in gen 3 You had to have perfect stats in a beauty contest to evolve Feebas into Milotic. This is nothing new. Gamefreak always for generations has had some really out of the way evolution method for particular pokemon. Remember Tyrogue? You probably don't, you might be too young. Anyway, that same ridiculous method exists today, since gen 2!!! Or Mantyke into Mantine, you need a Remorade to evolve it, that was gen 4. Look, my point is, there's absolutely no point in complaining about convoluted evolution methods. I think that it's the opposite, it makes the game great. I expect convoluted evo methods. If the games didn't have that, I'd actually be incredibly disappointed!!! Pokemon Scarlet and Violet kicks ass in more ways then post people give it credit for, that's facts.
The full-on open roaming. Need I really say more?? There's only 2 places in the entire game map that cuts to separate areas and the rest of it you can just walk on through like no ones business. Okay, a few more than that, because there's some buildings you can walk into and it cuts to those zones, but otherwise it's just Mesagoza and Area Zero. However the ability to climb mountains and access to the rooftops in cities and villages, which also sometimes have items on top of them as rewards for just the exploration, just superb!! Dare I say it?? Super Mario Odyssey + Legend of Zelda BOTW + the Pokemon format = the gen 9 Pokemon games!! However people just don't want to look past the tiny little bit of flaws and dust off the diamond. The forest for the trees if you will, (Naruto ref). Who am I kidding, no one understands Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. No one . . . .

@@ZariaZariasvt True, even the guy's most useful ability is only useful long term. Still, the Chief can be stopped with a bit of duct tape to the mouth. He grows when he shouts a magic phrase. A phrase that's long enough to be interrupted. He's also not a very good fighter.
Frieza aiming for immortality makes sense because he has an empire to rule over. He is rich and powerful enough to enjoy it for an eternity.
And while "near death experience" is the word for word, it is more like every muscle tension makes those muscles stronger and the amount of Ki the body produces will increase.
So an immortal Saiyan is a very very dangerous Saiyan since immortality means being able to living through even a god of destruction's Hakai. Using the third wish to have instant regenerative ability would've been thinking it through.

how could anyone take back immortality? if you word it just right you end up with the immortality that you envision, its important to cover all the bases you can think of that are demerits otherwise you end up with something like eternal youth and not eternal life which should be the same thing but wording is somehow important cause looking like your 20 for the rest of your life and being 20 for the rest of your life are very different things

Actually Pokémon Master is an official title, given to anyone who defeats the Elite Four of their region even if they don’t become Champion. Though… I guess Ash never does defeat the Elite Four so he never did get that title. Oh well… Ash is officially the best trainer in the world right now and beat 3 leagues, none with an Elite Four. So maybe Ash’s journey ending with him never beating the Elite Four was a way of saying “Sometimes your journey won’t end the way you think it will, but that’s okay.”
