Please tell me, when checking the device, my modules seem to be intact, but when testing with a lamp, they open with a positive bias on the shutter and the lamp ignites, and if you remove the bias, they immediately close without holding the collector-emitter transition in the open state, is this correct or not?
If I am understanding you correctly it sounds bad to me. An IGBT should stay on once triggered with + (positive) on gate and turn off when - (negative) applied to gate. It could be that you are not fully turning it on with enough voltage.

Hi I've the same igbt from infineon technologies. At pin 4,5 and 6,7 two igbt gives values on diode mode. But one is not giving any values on that pins. Which one is faulty from these modules?
I believe that was a 1,000 ohm resistor but anything between a few hundred and few thousands ohms should be fine depending on voltage used. The resistor is just to slow the rate of electrons flooding or leaving the gate. Keep in mind when just using your finger and no resistor a dry body is typically several hundred thousand Ohms. one thing i dont understan why with battery test the positive in colector and when diode test the positive of dmm in Emeter how current will pass againest diode direction in battery test
thanks for the replay and infos i have an igbt with a shorted gate dose that mean that the high voltage has passed throgh the low voltage driver circuit and mabe damaged it the circuit is protected with diodes and they are fine dose this mean the high voltage didnt pass or diodes do allow reverse current higher then their limit and still stay healthy thanks alot
In this example we use the 12 volt battery & 9 volts from power supply to turn the IGBT On and Off by restoring electrons to the gate to turn it On (negative) or by stripping electrons from the gate to turn it off (positive). Check the data sheets of your IGBT for minimum and maximum gate voltage.
Oddly enough elevator manual test procedures don’t state that but I have read it elsewhere. I believe I mention that in the video. FYI this is an elevator drive hence my reference to elevator manual test procedures

what size resistor are you using ???
I believe that was a 1,000 ohm resistor but anything between a few hundred and few thousands ohms should be fine depending on voltage used.

It doesn’t pass through the diode. It passes through the IGBT.
The diode is just flyback
