The model you have, Fluke 179, in diode mode gives 7.2V, which is high enough to trigger the gate, unlike the model he has, Fluke 17B, which gives 1.2V So, he should try to trigger the gate with an external DC source. About the same topic about the mosfets configuration in BMS circuits, where we see them as low side mosfets but we see both drains connected together instead of having source to drain connection like the DW01A IC or similar ICs. So how does this configuration work please?
hi Mr. Haseeb, I have Fluke 87 III , but it can not turn on IGBT , the voltage across leads provided by fluke 87 is 3.7v on diode mode, I have bench multimeter ( works on AC) provides 6.6v on diode mode which can open the IGBT. I know it depends on IGBT specs, the operating voltage, but I am surprised that your fluke can open IGBT, I would like if you tell me the voltage across leads on diode mode. thank you.
Does the measurement apply to all IGBTs, sir? I'm currently measuring IGBT, type Magna 6065PES series chips. If the measurement method is the same as the one you video, it means that my IGBT is damaged.

Testing methode as same as mosfet (here n- channel types) !Ex. irfz 44n, irf 3205, p55nf06,k3566 etc. Thank you.

some mutimeters have low test current in diode mode or resistance mode, which cannot charge the gate,
